Diablo III Eternal Collection Officially Announced For Nintendo Switch

Following the recent rumours surrounding a Diablo III release on Switch, Blizzard Entertainment has now confirmed that Diablo III Eternal Collection is making its way to the console this autumn.

This definitive version of the game will include all the features and content from every expansion and update, as well as bonus items exclusive to Nintendo Switch. This means that players will have access to the game’s seven powerful character classes, its five-act campaign and Adventure Mode, as well as the Reaper of Souls expansion, and the Rise of the Necromancer pack.

The game’s controls have been custom-built for Switch, and staying true to the spirit of the Diablo series, players will also have a wealth of options to choose from to suit their own playstyles. Up to four players can band together for some multiplayer goodness, whether they’re sharing a screen on a single console, linking their systems together wirelessly, or teaming up through the Switch’s online service.

If you want to know a little more, and get a quick glimpse at some of the Legend of Zelda-themed content coming to the game, Nintendo of America has just shared this video of everyone’s favourite Reggie speaking to CEO of Blizzard, Mike Morhaime. Check it out below.

As for a specific release date? Blizzard says that it should arrive “on or before” 21st December.

Are you excited to see Diablo III on Switch? Are you ready for some Sanctuary cleansing on the go? Share your thoughts with us down below.

Among The Sleep Developer Krillbite Reveals Mosaic, A New Game In The Works For Switch

Krillbite Studio, along with publisher Raw Fury, has revealed that a brand new game is currently in the works for Nintendo Switch. Named Mosaic, the title will arrive in “summer 2019”.

Mosaic is a mysterious narrative game in which you follow the repetitive and lonely life of an average commuter. The trailer above shows this commuter, living his day-to-day life when, suddenly, some extremely strange things start to happen. “Mysterious” is certainly the right word for it, and we’re intrigued to see where the game goes from here.

Very little else is known about the title just yet, but you may be familiar with Krillbite’s last project, Among the Sleep. Released on PS4 and Xbox One, this title is a first-person survival horror where you assume the role of a toddler, using interactive objects such as chairs to help yourself get around. Luckily for those not big on being scared senseless, this new game is taking a very different, much less terrifying, approach.

We’ll make sure to keep an eye out for any further news on this one as its release draws closer but, until then, why not share your early impressions with us in the comments below. Are you interested in finding out more?

Celebi Is Headed To Pokémon GO For All Players Next Week

Celebi, the mythical Pokémon which first appeared in Pokémon Gold and Silver, will be available for all players in Pokémon GO starting from next week.

The legendary creature will become available through a new Special Research questline which will be kicking off on 20th August. Players will encounter tasks that will test their skills as a Trainer, with each one completed giving you access to extra XP, useful items, and the chance to encounter certain Pokémon along the way.

You can begin completing your Special Research on Celebi at any time as long as you have done the third group of tasks related to the Special Research on Mew, and a new Celebi T-shirt is now available for free in the Style Shop to celebrate. Celebi’s arrivial in the game has also “drawn out the appearance of more Pokémon originally discovered in the Johto region”, meaning you’re more likely to find your Johto favourites mulling around at your local corner shop.

Of course, this Pokémon was first made available during the Chicago Go Fest last month. If you were on of the 21,000 players who managed to attend the event, you’ll no doubt already have the grass and psychic type monster in your collection, but you can still get involved. Players who already own Celebi will still be able to complete the questline and be rewarded with bucketloads of Celebi candy instead.

Will you be adding this Pokémon to your Pokédex? Let us know below.

Gear.Club Unlimited 2 Revealed Exclusively For Nintendo Switch

Microïds has revealed that Gear.Club Unlimited 2 – a sequel to the racer which sped onto Switch towards the end of last year – is also destined for Nintendo’s hybrid console.

This new entry to the series will have you racing along on more than 1800 miles (almost 3000km) of roads on mountainsides, through nature parks, in the middle of the desert, and along the coast. Featuring more than 250 races, including championships, missions and challenges, the game will allow to go behind the wheel of more than 50 licensed cars from the world’s most famous manufacturers, such as the Porsche 718 Boxster, 918 Spyder, 911 GT2RS, Dodge Viper, Lotus 3-Eleven or McLaren 720s.

Despite feeling that the game was a little “lightweight”, we praised the original release last year in our review, awarding it a solid 7/10 and saying the following:

“Gear.Club Unlimited is a highly entertaining racing game that sits firmly at the casual end of the realistic racer spectrum. It can be a thrillingly immediate experience, particularly on the go, where you can blast through one of its sweeping courses in just a minute or so.”

While no specific date has been set just yet, the official word for Gear.Club Unlimited 2’s release on Switch is that it will be available both physically and digitally “at the end of the year”. Several retailers are suggesting that it may arrive on 4th December, however.

Did you enjoy the first entry in this series? Will you be picking up the sequel? Let us know with a comment below.

Guide: Fortnite Stone Heads Location – Where To Search Where The Stone Heads Are Looking

Search where the Stone Heads are looking is one of the Battle Pass Challenges in Season 5 of Fortnite.

Complete it and you’ll earn Battle Stars that will help boost you up the tiers for those sweet Season 5 exclusive rewards.

In this guide, we’re going to help you find the location of the Stone Heads treasure, then you can move on to the other difficult challenge this week, complete timed trials.

Fortnite – How To Search Between Stone Heads

You might have noticed those Easter Island-inspired Stone Heads dotted around the Fortnite map. Epic introduced them with season five.

To complete this challenge, you have to find all of the Stone Heads on the map, draw a line between them, and go to the point where they intersect.

It’s not quite as simple as that though. You also have to pay attention to the direction the heads are facing, and draw each of the lines in that specific direction.

Basically, it’s time-consuming and involves a lot of work. So why don’t you just skip all of that and just read on below. We’ll tell you the exact location you have to visit to find the treasure you’re looking for.

Fortnite – Stone Heads Locations

Just in case you don’t want us to give you all of the answers, we’ve created a map of the Stone Heads in Fortnite. All of them are facing inwards, generally towards the centre of the map, so that should help you trace a map.

If you want the answer, we’ll give you that below.

Fortnite – Where To Search Between Stone Heads

The Stone Heads are, in fact, looking at Salty Springs. Specifically, just by the “S” and “A” in “Salty”.

When you arrive in that area from the air, you’ll notice two hills. You’re aiming for the smaller of the two. The treasure will appear right in the middle of it.

If you’re struggling to find it, use our map above and the screenshots below to help you narrow it down. Also, be careful – the challenge is pretty fresh so loads of others will be heading to that area right now.

It might be worth holding off for a bit, and trying this challenge next week. Or joining a team-based mode like 50 vs 50.

Old School Musical Brings 8-Bit Era Rhythm Game Action To Switch Next Month

Game publisher Playdius and indie developer La Moutarde have announced today that their upcoming rhythm game Old School Musical will release digitally for Nintendo Switch in September.

The game follows the adventures of Tib and Rob, two video game characters trained by their mother to be top class gaming heroes. Players must stay in tune, synching inputs with flying notes to help Tib and Rob find their loving mother, who appears to have gone missing. Miss too many of these notes, though, and Tib and Rob’s adventure will fall flat.

Filled to the brim with nostalgia-fueled references and nods to classic 8-bit games, genres, and tropes, Old School Musical is aiming to be a well-rounded love letter to the ‘80s and ‘90s. The game features a whole host of different gameplay types, including levels inspired by retro racers and the ability to shoot down enemies in side-scroller shooter levels. From there, players will need to take the fight to evil chicken armies to the beat of chiptune tracks from famous artists in a soundtrack featuring over 50 different tracks.

Features:
– Story Mode: Lead Tib and Rob on crazy adventure filled with humor and 8-bit nostalgia
-Arcade Mode: Reach the highest score and challenge your friends
-Challenge Mode: Play it hard with visual and audio penalties to unlock new music tracks
– Over 50 chiptune tracks by the best of the chiptune scene: Dubmood, Zabutom, Hello World, Yponeko, Le Plancton
– Travel through 20+ retro levels, inspired by 8-bit classics
– Local multiplayer mode supporting up to 4 players
-A rebellion led by chickens angry over their constant abuse in videogames

The gameplay trailer below is an odd one to say the least, but make sure to watch it to the end to check out how the game plays. The music sounds fantastic, and the game looks like it could be a lot of fun.

Old School Musical will be released on Switch on 13th September? Do you like the look of this one?

Fortnite Season 5 – Upgraded Battle Pass Challenges

The following is a list of the upgraded challenges in week 1 of season 5 of Fortnite.

Fortnite – What Is A Battle Pass?

A Battle Pass in Fortnite provides access to a season’s worth of weekly challenges that you can complete in exchange for exclusive rewards. A season lasts 10 weeks, so that’s quite a lot of bang for your buck.

Season 5 included a free Battle Pass option that provides you with three of the four Weekly Challenges. You’ll now have to upgrade the Battle Pass to unlock the remaining four challenges.

To get your hands on an upgraded Battle Pass, you first have to buy (or earn) the appropriate number of V-Bucks, which is Fortnite’s premium currency. The Battle Pass upgrade costs 950 V-Bucks right now, and 1,000 V-Bucks costs £7.99 / $9.99.

An upgraded Battle Pass only lasts for an entire season of Fortnite, so you will need to purchase another when the new season starts. The good news is that you can earn a total of 1,300 V-Bucks over the course of a season, provided you get to the max season level of 100. As long as you don’t get tempted to spend them on consumable items, you can feasibly pay once and get enough V-Bucks each season to buy the next Battle Pass every single time.

Fortnite – How Does A Season Work?

A season of Fortnite lasts 10 weeks, and you have to earn a total of 100 Battle Pass tiers in order to get the maximum rewards. You start at tier one, and can increase in tier by completing challenges or levelling up to earn Battle Stars.

That’s where the challenges come in. Complete one and you’ll earn between five and 10 Battle Stars, and if you earn enough of them you’ll increase in tier. You can also earn Battle Stars by increasing your season level, and by owning a Battle Pass you’ll earn more XP anyway.

Get to tier 100 and the entire set of rewards is yours. This typically includes emotes, character skins, V-Bucks, XP boosts, sprays, loading screens, and harvesting tools.

Fortnite – What Are Drift & Road Trip Challenges?

The Drift & Road Trip Challenges replace the Carbide and Omega Challenges from Season 4 of Fortnite. Each of them provides cosmetic upgrades for the Drift and Ragnarok outfits respectively.

You earn Drift Challenge rewards by gaining various XP totals:

25,000 Chest Cosmetic
50,000 Head Cosmetic
100,000 Back Cosmetic
200,000 Back Cosmetic / Rift Edge Harvesting Tool

Road Trip Challenges

You earn Road Trip Challenge rewards by completing all challenges from seven out of 10 of the seasonal Weekly Challenges. Beat all seven out of 10 and you unlock a further exclusive reward.

Rumour: Leak Signals Blizzard’s Diablo 3 Will Unleash Hell On Switch This Year

Rumours of Diablo 3 coming to the Nintendo Switch have been flying about for some time now. Earlier this year in February, Blizzard tweeted a Diablo-themed night light being ‘switched’ on and off. Blizzard at the time denied the game’s existence and said it wasn’t that clever. Now, according to a number of sites including The Verge and Kotaku, the third Diablo will, in fact, be released on the Switch later this year. The news stems from an alleged leak on Forbes which was then posted on Reddit.

The Switch version of the game will supposedly be released as the Diablo III: Eternal Collection for $59.99, and will include the Reaper of Souls and Rise of the Necromancer expansions. All existing updates Blizzard has released for the game since it was launched are said to be included, and there will even be exclusive Legend of Zelda content in the form of a Ganondorf armour set, Tri-Force portrait frame, a Cucco pet and Echoes of the Mask cosmetic wings.

The PC version of the third Diablo game was originally released in 2012. It had an incredibly bumpy launch with Blizzard drastically overhauling the dungeon-crawler since then to make it a more enjoyable experience. There have even been modes added and removed over the years. The last Blizzard game released on a Nintendo console was the RTS-hit Starcraft 64
