Unseen E3 2006 Footage Reggie Talks To The Media Managers Manager Media Brief 0 54 Screenshot

Old footage of Reggie Fils-Aimé at E3 has surfaced online. Apparently, it’s a formal introduction to media managers at a manager media brief about all the content Nintendo intended to showcase at the annual event in 2006.

In the one minute clip, you’ll get to see a younger version of the current Nintendo of America President along with his trademark mannerisms, all while he carefully pronounces the names of his colleagues. He even acknowledges his audience as “important” people because of their critical roles in the success of the company. Take a look at this time capsule in the video below and tell us what you think:

The YouTube channel responsible for the upload said it would share more classic footage soon, so stay tuned for flashbacks to simpler times when it was all about the Nintendo Wii and DS.

Game-Breaking Bug Found In Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story On 3DS

Mario And Luigi Inside Story IMG

Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story + Bowser Jr.’s Journey has been out for a week on the 3DS in the US now and already a major game-breaking bug has been found. According to a post over on Reddit by the user FrankCopper, when you lose Mario from your party in the Nimble Woods area of the game and then go back a screen to save your progress, the game glitches out and Luigi is unable to move beyond this section.

Here’s a YouTube upload of the issue, courtesy of another Mario & Luigi player (DarkMarioGaming):

The original poster on Reddit, who lost 15 hours of progress, said how they contacted Nintendo when they realised the 3DS release had a game-breaking bug. Here’s how it unfolded:

“so after speaking with customer service, there isn’t anything that they can do since is the first reported issue that this has occurred. Besides this video and me calling to complain about it, the only other occurrence of this being documented is in the Nintendo Support forums. They thought it might be something with my Save file but this has gotta be code getting confused because you don’t have Mario in your party. This sucks, gonna have to start my save over again…”

We can only hope Nintendo patches out this bug soon, to avoid it becoming a widespread problem.

Have you encountered this issue? Do you plan to buy this game or have you already got it? Tell us below.

Kombat Kast For Mortal Kombat 11 Takes Place On 30th January

MK11 IMG

During the Mortal Kombat 11 live stream, fans of the long-running fighting series got their first proper look at the game. This included the gameplay reveal, a fatalities trailer, the story prologue, the reveal of Ronda Rousey as Sonya Blade, the Geras character reveal and a behind-the-scenes look at the development. You can watch all of this footage right here.

In addition to this, the Community Manager for NetherRealm Tyler Lansdown appeared on stage to announce the first Kombat Kast for MK11 will be taking place at the end of this month on 30th January. This first one is going to be “pretty big” according to Lansdown and will be live across all Kombat social channels. During this announcement, the character Kabal was shown running across the screen. The Kombat Kast on the 30th is likely to show this character and other content coming to the game.

Unfortunately, much like the pre-release beta, it looks like Nintendo fans will miss out on the game’s Collector’s Edition. During his appearance on stage, Lansdown revealed this edition contains a copy of the game, an exclusive steel case and magnet, a Scorpion mask and a kollector box. He also re-confirmed if you pre-order any version of the game, you will receive the character Shao Kahn.

Are you excited for more MK11 details on 30th January? Would you have purchased a Switch Collector’s Edition had one been offered? Tell us below.

Video: Watch As One Player Defeats Six Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Guardians In Six Seconds

Guardian

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild may well be nearing its second anniversary at this point, but players are still regularly sharing their favourite moments online and discovering new things.

One of these moments includes the short video below, in which one player manages to defeat six of the game’s most fearsome enemies in as many seconds. The clip comes from Twitter user @zb_yuhudaddy, showing all six Guardians pointing their beams of angry, murderous destruction in Link’s direction at the same time. Yes, Guardians get easier to defeat as you progress through the game, but we still wouldn’t fancy taking on six of the things.

After making sure that the Guardians all fired in sync, the player managed to perfectly equip six shields – one per beam – as they came hurtling through the air. Only six seconds went by between the first beam shot and the final reflection, and we have to say we’re left incredibly impressed. You can see it for yourself below.

Do you think you’d be able to pull this off? Or are you as instinctively terrified as the Guardians as we are? Share your thoughts with us below.

Random: What Ever Happened To The Queen’s Golden Wii?

Queenwii

Just under a decade ago, publisher THQ released Big Family Games, a Wii title which hoped to follow in the famous footsteps of Wii Sports with its own family-friendly, motion control minigames. If you haven’t heard of it before, that’s likely because it never reached those high levels of success, but there’s a rather comical PR stunt story to be told surrounding it anyway.

To spark media interest in the game, THQ supposedly sent a golden Wii console to Elizabeth II, the Queen of the United Kingdom, so that she could enjoy flinging digital horseshoes at chickens in her spare time. Since then, the whereabouts of this special Wii has been largely unknown – especially since you can’t just send any old item to the Queen – so where is it now?

Amazingly, one man has actually set out to track it down, even if that means flying around the globe to do so. That man is Chris Bratt, host of People Make Games and ex-video producer for the good folk at Eurogamer, and he’s created this ace little video below showing his discoveries. If you’re a fan of incredibly random Nintendo trivia, this one’s for you:

Above all, we’re happy to see that it still exists and is being loved to this very day, even if not by the Queen herself…

Get The Party Started With Stunt Kite Party, A Four-Player Game Coming To Switch Next Month

HandyGames has announced Stunt Kite Party, a new party game heading to the Nintendo Switch early next month.

If you’re starting to get a little tired of the same old boards in Super Mario Party, this one hopes to grab your attention with the subtle art of kite flying. That’s not all you’ll be doing, though, as ten “crazy” game modes will have you fighting off aliens, stealing honeycombs from bees, and even bombing your friends. You can also set up your own little tournaments to see who comes out on top.

It also features a single-player story mode where you take on the role of a young and very gifted pilot. You’ve just arrived in the Big City to discover that kiting is against the law – the outrage – so you’ll need to set out and make new kiting friends, doing everything in your power to convince the mayor to let kites be flown once again.

Features:
Exciting story mode
– 10 challenging game modes
– Compete in predefined or custom tournaments
– Single and multiplayer matches with up to 4 players
– 4 idyllic levels to kite
– Unlock additional characters, kites, and skins

Stunt Kite Party will be launch on Nintendo Switch on 8th February for €9.99 / $9.99 / £8.99, available to purchase directly from the Switch eShop.

Will you be flying high with your friends on this one? Or are party games just not your thing? Let us know in the comments below.
