GRID Legends: Deluxe Edition Switch 2 Graphics And Performance Mode Detailed

GRID: Legends: Deluxe Edition was announced for the Switch 2 at the end of last year and will be “coming soon” to Nintendo’s new hybrid system.

It’s already been confirmed this version of the game will feature graphics and performance modes, and more details about these modes have now been revealed by the developer Feral Interactive during a chat with fans on Reddit.

Here’s what was confirmed:

“GRID Legends will have both ‘Graphics’ and ‘Performance’ presets for docked and handheld play (where you can expect 30fps and up to 60fps respectively), as well as dedicated ‘Balanced’ and ‘Battery Saver’ presets exclusively for handheld. So you can choose your preferred mix of frame rate and fidelity.

“As for graphical effects, Switch 2 will retain all the fireworks, tyre smoke, sparks and backfire you’ve come to expect from mobile & other console versions.”

The team also mentioned how this release will support the Nintendo Switch Online variant of the GameCube controller:

Yes – GRID Legends will support the NSO variant of the GameCube controller, offering analog trigger support for acceleration and brake. That’s all been tested and verified here

You can find out more about GRID Legends: Deluxe Edition for the Switch 2 in the announcement post here on Nintendo Life:

Are there any Death Train codes?

Most tower defense experiences in Roblox are all about anime thrills and manga action. What if some cunning developers out there decided to bring trains into the mix instead? The time to ‘choo choo’ is now with the latest Death Train codes. Because what’s a decent Roblox title without any rewards?

If you’re wondering whether there are any goodies to be had or if there’s a Discord server to team up with other players, this guide is your one-stop shop. Stick around, and we’ll get you ready to go.

Are there any Death Train codes?

Right now, there are no active Death Train codes. This Roblox experience is back thanks to a major gameplay overhaul, according to the developers, Century Games. While you can hop in and see what Death Train is all about, just be aware that gameplay features are still being worked on. As the game goes full steam ahead to a proper launch, you can expect rewards to appear.

If you’re still looking for other Roblox games that have freebies available, check our list of Roblox codes.

How do I redeem Death Train codes?

There aren’t any methods to redeem codes in Death Train at present, but this will likely change with future updates. However, if you have a Discord account, there are goodies available to members of the game’s Discord server. Keep on scrolling to find out how to join it.

How can I get more Death Train codes?

The best way to see if there are more Death Train codes is by coming back to this list. We regularly check for rewards as new updates arrive, so bookmark this page, share it with your friends, and come back soon. Outside of codes, though, there is a free skin for rating the game in Roblox and joining the ‘Tower Battle’ group here.

Is there a Death Train Discord server?

Yes, there is a Death Train Discord server. Not only is this a great way to speak with other Roblox players, but you can get an exclusive reward by becoming a Discord server member.

However, you need to join the Death Train community first. Here’s how to do that.

Now that you’re in the Death Train Discord server, you can use the ‘check in’ bot command to get a verification code to use in Death Train. When you get the code, redeem it by tapping the Discord button at the top right of the screen.

Why are my Death Train codes not working?

If your Death Train codes don’t work, make sure to copy and paste your chosen code from the active list above. If that doesn’t work, it may have expired.

Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (3rd January)

Back from the internet-lacking but festivities-abundant countryside New Year’s Eve with my family and straight into a weekend that almost seamlessly links with the next one into a relative bana- er, bonanza of backlog time, so which playthroughs to invest it in? You’d think over 350 items added last year to Switch library alone would suffice for the answer… yet here I am, with the visibly emptier hobby fund coffers and the first hybrid splurge of 2026 to sort between the benches and the storage space (which also means deciding what already installed stuff to part with for now). A few titles like Pedestrian and Alice Gear may wait alongside Quake II for now, and The Hundred Line beckons but simultaneously scares with its 13-something gigabytes, but that still leaves the gluttony catalysts like Fantasy Life I (I’m tired of manually correcting the last letter’s case😅), Unicorn Overlord, Labyrinth of Zangetsu, the first Quake, Astroneer, Chasm, Slay the Princess, Baba Is You and another dive into the hoard survival genre with the steampunk Luminaria… even My Time At Sandrock is tempting me to go Xenoblade/Atelier/RF/Persona/Tales on its series (if the witnesses of my previous Saturday comments know what I mean), so perhaps a very “gruesome” storage overhaul is in the cards anyway.🙀

Needless to say, none of that means I’ll readily give up on glancing towards the already established playthroughs, especially when the timeframe actually encourages it once in a blue moon. Be it the aforelisted and simultaneously engaged series, relative recents from Remnant, Rogue Legacy 2 and Ghost Trick to Ball x Pit, Railgrade and Gnosia or the proverbial longplays from Forager, Borderlands 2 and BotW/Echoes to First Departure, Danganronpa and GTA Trilogy (and all of that with some Cyberpunk, Palia and Chibi-Robo on NS2), this is guaranteed to be one memorable week. Various handheld stuff like the first Fantasy Life, Neptunia, Xenosaga, FFXIII/XV and Death Stranding isn’t off the table either (unlike the likewise newly procured Edge of Eternity and Elex which look like even bigger tricks to cram on Deck for the time being… but who knows), and I’ve even gone as far as to unshelve and plug in PS4 just in case – Lord knows how long it’s been. Should the stars align, some of this mostly TV-chained library (NFS 2015 and Crew 2, Lies of P and Bloodborne, Sakura Wars and Star Ocean IaF – you name it) might just see some action, too.

Happy New Year, merry Christmas to everyone potentially celebrating in a few days like I do, and here’s to many positive memories and times to decidedly outweigh their opposites.🍻

Final Fantasy XIV Online Director Reportedly Hints At Nintendo Release

Final Fantasy XIV
Image: Square Enix

The Final Fantasy XIV Online director Naoki ‘Yoshi-P’ Yoshida has spoken about bringing the popular MMORPG to Nintendo platforms on multiple occasions.

During a New Year chat, he has now been asked once again about the possibility of this title coming to Switch systems and has reportedly told fans to “please look forward to it” (thanks, Livedoor).

Yoshida has been talking about bringing Final Fantasy XIV Online to Nintendo platforms for a number of years now. In June 2024, he noted at the time how the game could potentially target Nintendo’s Switch “successor”.

More recently, in August last year at Gamecom, he mentioned how his team and Nintendo had “positive discussions” about the possibility of a port. Keep in mind, there has been no official announcement at this stage for Nintendo platforms.

In the immediate future, Square Enix is focused on bringing Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade to the Switch 2 this month.

Would you be interested in this game on Switch 2? Have you already played it on another platform? Tell us in the comments.

Bloober Team Is Teasing Something Mysterious For February

Cronos: The New Dawn
Image: Bloober Team

Bloober Team has become really bloomin’ prolific in recent years, having released Cronos: The New Dawn and a Switch 2 port of Layers of Fear in 2025, with none other than Silent Hill 2 the year prior. It’s currently hard at work on a remake of the original Silent Hill with Konami alongside an original title simply called ‘Project M‘ for the time being for the Switch and Switch 2.

Speaking of which, it’s entirely possible that Project M is the focus of a new tease from Bloober Team, with the studio launching a new website featuring a countdown timer. The timer runs out on 15th February and, according to our pals over at Push Square, there are no hints towards anything Konami-related in the website’s source code (and yes, we double-checked ourselves too, just to be safe).

The website itself is titled RemosdNeulSerorehsoOvamCeyerd.com, which means… something..? It’s all rather vague at the moment – deliberately so, no doubt. A social media post linking to the site also states “Dare to peek into the darkness..” So at the very least, it seems to be leaning heavily on Bloober’s penchant for horror.

If this is indeed related to Project M, which is being published by Bloober’s own subsidiary Broken Mirror Games, then there should be plenty to get excited about. The studio’s CEO Piotr Babieno recently stated that the project is particularly geared toward “fans of Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Limbo, and Eternal Darkness“, while being a vision that could “only exist on Nintendo hardware”.

Curious, indeed. We’ll be keeping a close eye on this as we inch toward 15th February, and we’ll let you know if we hear anything new as soon as possible.

What do you think Bloober Team’s tease could be? Let us know your thoughts with a comment down below.

Switch 2 Games FAQ

There’s more to come with Switch 2’s library, but if you want some quick hits or answers, then have a look over some of the most frequently asked questions for the console.

How is third-party support for Switch 2?

At the moment, very strong!

FromSoftware is jumping on board with Switch 2, with not only Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition, but also The Duskbloods, a new Switch 2-exclusive multiplayer game from the celebrated makers of Dark Souls.

Elsewhere, Capcom bought Street Fighter 6, SEGA joined the party with the Switch 2-exclusive Yakuza 0: Director’s Cut (plus Kiwamis 1, 2, and 3) Ubisoft brought the underrated Star Wars Outlaws, and Madden returned to a Nintendo console for the first time in a long time. First Light 007, Cyberpunk 2077, Borderlands 4, Hades 2 – we could go on, but you can see the list above yourself!

Switch 2 may well be joining the “This is an Xbox” campaign, too, as Microsoft is bringing some of its games to the new console, including Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Halo: Master Chief Collection and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 are also rumoured, though unconfirmed.

When is the new 3D Mario coming out?

Umm… we hate to break it to you, but it hasn’t even been announced – yet!

We’re pretty sure we’ll hear about the next 3D Mario game in 2025, but right now, Super Mario Odyssey 2 is a distant dream. sigh. Donkey Kong Bananza is fantastic, though, and that was made by the same dev team.

That’s all the confirmed games for Switch 2 for now, but this list will be updated every time we add a new Switch 2 game/release date to our database.

It’s also worth remembering that Switch 2 has old games as well – it’s backwards compatible with the original Switch. So if you’re after a list of OG Switch release dates, we’ve got you covered there, too.
