Hexagroove: Tactical DJ (Ichigoichie, 3rd Oct, £24.99) – Hexagroove combines elements of strategy, rhythm, and action games in a unique blend of self-expression. Your goal as a DJ is to combine musical loops in real-time to regulate a virtual audience’s energy, working them into a state of euphoria with your artistic skills. The action swings from contemplative to frantic as you move between song sections in one of ten dance music genres. Over time you’ll unlock new musical loops, DJ tricks, and club venues to play in. Lanternium (Victory Road, 1st Oct, £8.09) – Lanternium by Blazing Planet Studio is a puzzle adventure game where you have to help the mighty Raccoon to overcome many obstacles and labyrinths. Set in the fantastic world, this game is family-friendly and suitable for all ages. Gameplay is based on solving the puzzles by interacting with different types of blocks and colours. On his journey, Raccoon will meet a bunch of friends and foes, including Fox, Snail and other anthropomorphic animals. All these troubles have happened because someone stole Raccoon’s favourite chocolate cookies — maybe it’s all evil Lord Angler’s misdeeds? Time to untangle this puzzle and solve it once and for all. While starting as a casual game, Lanternium is aimed to show its true potential as a challenging puzzle game that is easy to learn and hard to master.
Soulslayer (Navila Software Japan, 1st Oct, £5.59) – Yao Xiu is an ordinary young lady from a noble family. Yet it pains her to stay in the household where she doesn’t fit in. Her only way out is through marriage and starting a new family. Now, her with wedding approaching she is killed, unexpectedly, right on the eve of her big day. As Yao Xiu reopens her eyes right after her ‘death’. She finds herself trapped in a time loop—forcing her to live through the same day over and over, surviving and dying again and again. She is told, that she has 3 chances to save herself. If she loses 3 turns, the game ends, and so does her life. Will each repeated encounter get Yao Xiu one step closer to the truth?
Spooky Ghosts Dot Com (Lone Wolf Technology, 2nd Oct, £4.49) – “Spooky Ghosts Dot Com is a small Metroidvania about a ghost hunter named Ruby. One Halloween night a ghost hunting job comes in, but it turns out to not be a regular gig! Explore the haunted mansion, take down some ghosts, battle spooky bosses, and rescue the lost cats!
CASE: Animatronics (OOO Valnat, 3rd Oct, £17.99) – Welcome to the police department, where working late can lead to tragic consequences. You’re John Bishop, a swamped-with-work detective who tirelessly carries out your investigations late into the night. But tonight you are pulled from your precious few hours of rest, and a strange dream, by a mysterious call from an old “friend.” Turning your fight to find the truth into a fight to survive the night. When a sudden assault devastates their homeland of Rughzenhaide, the two are forced to escape… but somehow end up teleported into an unknown forest full of vegetation they don’t recognize. The atmosphere is thick and heavy. There is no sign of life, which is very unusual for such a lush forest. Something is wrong about the land… But they are too startled to notice what. Who were the attackers and what was their goal? Where did Selphine and Ritona end up? Will the two make it home safely? And more importantly, what has happened to their homeland?

Tic-Tac-Letters by POWGI (Lightwood Games, 3rd Oct, £6.99) – Tic-Tac-Letters is a single-player logic puzzle based on tic-tac-toe. Begin by placing letters so that there are no more than two Xs or Os consecutive in a row or column. Then continue with new letters and larger and more challenging puzzles.
Beats Runner (FuryLion Group, 4th Oct) – Beats Runner is a bite-sized retro-cyberpunk rhythm action platform game. Just follow the beats and rush forward! Caution for the spikes and traps! Rush forward and collect as many stars and coins as possible! Unlock unique characters for more fun, and level up for more challenges! Challenge your skills and see what you’re capable of! The gameplay is as simple as one touch jumps and hops. You just need to rush forward in tune with the amazing beats the game offers. Dance your fingers to the adventurously good music.
Community Inc (tinyBuild Games, 4th Oct) – As a new Manager, build a happy community and trade with other races. . . for profit. Yes, that’s right, we need their happiness so we can power up our portals. The Lings, your workers, will obey you and help you with your village. But beware, they can cause a lot of problems too. If this is not enough, there are other creatures that will try to do the same, they can trade, fight or help you. Oh, don’t forget about the weather and some unexpected events. VILLAGE BUILDING Build your own village with many types of buildings, you need to decide what kind of objects, items or workbench you want inside. There are more than 150 items to craft. Every item and object has a reason.
One Night Stand (Ratalaika Games, 4th Oct) – In One Night Stand, explore the stranger’s bedroom and seek out clues to identify who she is and what brought you both together. You may resort to some unusual methods to find the answers you’re looking for, but try not to prod and pry too much – a nosy guest quickly becomes an unwanted one! Will you stay and explore your relationship with this stranger, or will you escape when the opportunity presents itself? With 12 unique endings to discover, can you keep up the act long enough to find out what really happened?
Soul Knight (ChillyRoom, 4th Oct) – “In a time of gun and sword, the magical stone that maintains the balance of the world is stolen by high-tech aliens. The world is hanging on a thin thread. It all depends on you retrieving the magical stone…” We honestly can’t keep making it all up. Let’s just shoot some alien minions! This is the game you have always wanted in your subconscious. Explore the dungeon, collect crazy weapons, dodge bullets and shoot‘em all up! Extremely easy and intuitive control; super smooth and enjoyable gameplay, mixed with rogue-like elements.
Teddy Gangs (Sabec, 4th Oct) – Beat the fluff out of them! The toy factory that made the best teddy’s in the World has gone crazy. All the teddies have escaped and have become evil and you are the only one who you can stop them taking over the World. Teddy gangs is a fun, fast-action fighting game where you have to beat the fluff out of any teddy that dares to challenge you, so be ready to stand up to hordes of evil teddy bears, but be warned this is not going to be a fluffy affair.
