Xbox Insider Answers: “What’s the Best Way to Report Known Issues?”

Hey there, Xbox Insiders!  As valuable members of the Xbox Insider Community, we get a lot of feedback from you while you’re helping us preview games, apps and upcoming system updates, but did you know there are some issues we’re already aware of during the preview window? We imagine you already knew this, but in the event that you didn’t (or else need a quick refresher), we’ve got you covered. We’ve already written about the value of using the “Report a problem” tool to report unexpected behavior, but you can also add feedback for a known issue without completing a brand new feedback form.

To do this, simply open the “Report a problem” tool, where you’ll see any known issues listed on the first screen. All you need to do to let us know you’ve encountered one of the known issues listed is select it and then choose the “+1 option.” It’s that easy!

Before selecting “+1,” we’d ask that you make sure the behavior you’re seeing is the same as what’s described in the title and description of the known issue. While some things might seem similar, it’s important that we’re getting as much feedback as possible from users experiencing the behavior as described. If your issue is different, please make sure to select the “Add new problem” option instead and fill out the form normally.

So get out there and file feedback; we look forward to all your input!

Xbox CosPups Join Gaming Heroes to Celebrate the Year of the Dog

February 16 marks the start of Chinese New Year; a 15-day season of festivities across Greater China and within Asian communities worldwide, seeing people celebrate with family, feasting, fireworks, and good fortune rituals shared. This Lunar New Year we celebrate the Year of the Dog; the sign of the Chinese Zodiac that represents all the best characteristics we look for in a Player 2: bravery, loyalty, trustworthiness – a true companion and friend.

At Xbox, we’re getting gamers excited about the Lunar New Year by taking the best traits of the Xbox universe and its beloved gaming characters and transforming these heroes into their canine alter egos! Xbox CosPups bring together the rich virtual worlds of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Sea of Thieves, Forza Motosport, Gears of War, Halo and some playful canine heroes to bring the Year of the Dog to life for our fans.

Brought to life through the work of world-renowned dog fashion designer Roberto Negrini of Bravo’s “Furry, Fierce and Fabulous,” each dog’s character outfit was created with craft, care and a passion for the games they represent.

Next Week on Xbox: New Games for February 19 to February 25

Welcome to Next Week on Xbox, where we cover all the new games coming soon to Xbox One! Every week, the team at Xbox aims to deliver quality gaming content for you to enjoy on your favorite gaming console. This coming week we can return to the land of Albion as Fable Fortune graduates from the Xbox Game Preview program, jump into a retro-inspired platformer in Rad Rodgers, or enjoy a mix of stealth action gameplay and co-op survival in Metal Gear Survive. These are just a few of the excellent games coming to Xbox One next week. Read more about these titles below and click on their profiles for pre-order details.

Metal Gear Survive Screenshot Games
Xbox One X Enhanced – Experience a bold new take on stealth action gameplay in Metal Gear Survive, a spin-off from the main story experience from Metal Gear Solid V that takes place in an alternative universe. Scavenge resources, craft weapons, and build a base while surviving in a hostile environment. Also features an in-depth co-op mode for players to work together, build defenses, and fight off countless enemies together.
The Station Screenshot Games
In The Station, you’re sent to a remote space station to discover what has happened to a crew who was tasked with investigating the discovery of alien life. A discovery that may challenge everything you know about biology, chemistry, physics and more. Can you solve this sci-fi mystery?
Tiles ScreenshotGames
Tiles is a fast-paced action-puzzler that will require you to think fast as the ground beneath you starts to crumble away. It may sound easy — get the green title to the red tile while clearing out the blue ones — but Tiles bills itself as a “unique action-puzzle game that will both convolute your mind and burn your fingertips!” Are you up for the challenge?
Rad Rodgers: World One Screenshot Games
Inspired by classic platformers like Jazz Jackrabbit, Conker, and Commander Keen, in Rad Rodgers you’ll take on the role of the spirited Rad who has been sucked into his TV, finding himself at the center of his very own video game adventure.
Xenon Valkyrie+ Screenshot Games
Explore the deep recesses of the moon and defeat the plans of a wicked witch who lives there. This retro-inspired, rouge-lite platformer, you’ll fight through a randomly-generated world, encountering numerous characters and enemies (and of course, weapons).
Defenders Quest Screenshot Games
Defender’s Quest bills itself as a tower-defense/RPG hybrid that focuses on tactics, customization, and story. The battle system builds upon the foundation of tower defense, where characters take the place of towers, each with their own skills, equipment, and leveling. And at the heart of all this strategic gameplay is an engaging, character-driven story.
Sword Art Online Screenshot Games
Xbox One X Enhanced – Enter the futuristic world of Gun Gale Online, a dangerous land full of supersonic flying bullets, photon swords, and powerful rocket launchers! Create your own customized avatar and explore this unique sci-fi world with your partner AI in this epic ARPG taking place in the “Sword Art Online” anime universe.
Past Cure Screenshot Games
In Past Cure, you can experience a dark, psychological thriller in which you take on the role of a tortured soldier whose mind was experimented on — and whose grip on reality is shaky at best — as you unlock his world-bending manipulation powers to discover how the shadowy forces at play are attacking his mind.
Abo Kashem Screenshot Games
In this eccentric, comedic RPG, you will have to piece together why you have woken up in the middle of nowhere, with no sense of who you are, and your only friend is a lizard. The two of you must uncover a grand conspiracy and along the way purchase property, hone your fighting style, and decorate your home.
Symmetry ScreenshotGames
Set in a retro-future setting, you’re a crewmember aboard a research starship that has discovered an abandoned planet. Now marooned, it’s up to you to manage the survival of a small group of survivors, find a way off this deadly planet, and make your way back home.
Fable Fortune Screenshot Games
Console Exclusive, Xbox Play Anywhere – A collectible card game that combines the iconic world and characters of the Fable series with fast-paced tactical gameplay. Choose between Good and Evil to alter special abilities and even the cards in your deck. Compete in leagues and events or take on a boss with a friend in co-op mode. Whether you’re new to card games or a veteran, it’s time to return to Albion!

Kingdom Come: Deliverance – Welcome to Bohemia
One could argue that the main protagonist of Kingdom Come: Deliverance is history. The game takes place in 15th century Bohemia — 1403, precisely. After the passing of beloved king and Holy Roman Emperor Charles IV, the whole empire is left in the hands of his son, Wenceslaus IV. Sadly, Wenceslaus does not take much after his father, as he neglects the affairs of the realm and instead spends his time feasting and hunting. This upsets the imperial nobility and therefore they do not hesitate to turn to Wenceslaus’ half-brother, Sigismund of Hungary, who swiftly decides on a radical solution. He invades Bohemia, imprisons Wenceslaus, and lets his army of mercenaries pillage the… Read more

Unenroll old or unused devices from the Xbox Insider Program

Whether selling, trading, or giving away an old Xbox One console or PC, you may one day find it’s still registered to your Microsoft account and receiving updates through the Xbox Insider Program. The good news is, you can remove consoles or devices you no longer own or have access to from any Xbox One or Windows 10 PC.

  1. Sign in on any Xbox One console or Windows 10 PC with your Microsoft account registered in the Xbox Insider Program.
  2. Launch the Xbox Insider Hub.
  3. In the Xbox Insider Hub, navigate to Settings > Manage devices.
  4. Select the console(s) or device(s) you wish to remove from the Xbox Insider Program, then select Done.

Manage Devices

This disassociates the console or device from your Microsoft account, and removes access to any playtests, previews, or betas through the Xbox Insider Program.

NOTE:
• Devices in Manage devices include the name of the device and the Serial number
• Only Xbox One consoles have a Serial number listed in Manage devices—devices without a Serial number are Windows 10 PCs registered to your Microsoft account
• You’ll see (current) displayed next to the device you’re currently signed in on

If you’re having trouble differentiating between Xbox One consoles, you can find the Serial number by following these steps:

  1. On your Xbox One, launch the Guide.
  2. Navigate to Settings > System > Console info.

FAQs:

Will removing an Xbox One console from Manage devices remove it from the Xbox One Update Preview?
Yes, when removed via Manage devices, a console enrolled in the Xbox One Update Preview reverts to the current public system update the next time it’s powered on.

Does Manage devices remove me from playtests, previews, or betas if I’m registered on more than one console or device?
No, disassociating a console or device with your Microsoft account doesn’t remove your access to Xbox Insider content. There can be exceptions if your Microsoft account lost access to a playtest, preview, or beta after you registered.

I want to give my old Xbox One to a friend; will they get access to my Xbox Insider content?
It depends. When you register for Insider content, you’re registering either your Microsoft account or your console depending on the type of content. When your friend signs in to the Xbox Insider Hub, they’ll see any Insider content registered to the console (the Xbox One Update Preview for example). However, they won’t be able to unenroll or change the registration (they’ll be asked to sign in with the account that registered). For this reason, it’s always a good idea to unenroll your console using Manage devices when you plan to give it away or stop using it.
