Only together will they be strong enough to complete their quest: reach the last place on Earth still touched by sunlight.

State of Mind Screenshot Games

The world is on the brink. With a lack of resources, illnesses caused by polluted air and water, crime on the rise, and governments promise remedies through technological progress. As Richard Nolan, one of the few journalists openly criticizing this development, find that his family has vanished, you’ll experience an alarmingly realistic vision of the near future in this sci-fi thriller where dystopian reality and digital utopia are intertwined.

Coffee Crisis ScreenshotGames

The alien Smurglian have come to Earth and they’re not leaving until they steal our four most prized commodities: metal music, coffee, cat videos, and WiFi. In this arcade-style beat ’em up that pays homage to the 90s era of classic arcade & 16-bit brawlers, take control of Black Forge Coffeehouse baristas Nick and Ashley, two galaxy gladiators called to arms to stop this madness.

Wailing Heights ScreenshotGames

Inspired by classic adventure games, you’ll find yourself lost in ghostly town of Wailing Heights where you’ll need to talk to the locals, collect lyrics to songs, listen to clues, and steal things from other songs. Add these ingredients to your musical possession wheel and sing your soul right into a monster’s body, gaining their supernatural abilities and moving one step closer to escaping Wailing Heights.

Hero Defense Screenshot Games

To destroy the world’s most powerful vampire, your team of slayers must impale, slash, tear and burn through legions of undead hell-bent on world domination. Take charge of five unique heroes that battle their way through various arenas to defeat Count Necrosis. Fans of RTS, RPGs, and Tower Defense games will find a lot to like here.

FernzGate Screenshot Games

Polygod Screenshot Games

As a one-armed, gun-wielding assassin of legend, the seven deities of Polygod will test your skill with randomly generated arenas of hostile minions.

Treadnauts Screenshot Games

Drunk-Fu: Wasted Masters Screenshot Games

Xbox One X Enhanced – Master physics-defying drunk-fu techniques by controlling your character’s stumbling direction and unleashing powerful attacks with each individual limb. Team up with your friends to beat AI controlled bullies in the swarm-like mode or challenge each other in free for all or last man standing modes to see who the true Wasted Master is.

Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes Screenshot Games

Xbox One X Enhanced – In Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes, one player is trapped in a room with a ticking time bomb they must defuse. The other players are the experts who must give the instructions to defuse the bomb by deciphering the information found in the Bomb Defusal Manual. But there’s a catch: the experts can’t see the bomb, so everyone will need to talk it out – fast! Test the limits of your communication skills and friendships in this co-op party game.

Persian Nights ScreenshotGames

In the absence of a mortally ill king, the Grand Vizier Zaved rules the kingdom with an iron fist, while a mysterious plague casts a dark shadow on the people of Persia. New Kick Off Mode Reinvigorates Local Multiplayer in FIFA 19

For many gamers, their first FIFA experience was probably a head-to-head matchup with a friend, on the couch, in a dorm room or childhood bedroom. Kick Off mode is traditionally a pure FIFA experience in which two (or four) people pick teams and face off in a straightforward, two-team, 90-minute match. Bragging rights are achieved after every win, until the next match occurs.

But this year, Kick Off mode is getting a makeover. The new Kick Off experience in FIFA 19 opens local multiplayer for everybody, providing a wealth of customizable options for every match, as well as a system for tracking your stats and record against friends on any console.

Aside from the traditional match, now called Classic Kick Off in FIFA 19, there are five new types of matches that can be played: UEFA Champions League, House Rules, Best of Series, Home & Away, and Featured Cup Finals. Most of those are self-explanatory, but players will probably be the most intrigued by the House Rules option.

If you’ve ever played a Kick Off match and wanted the change up the rules a bit, or play without any rules at all, you’ll enjoy the House Rules match type. Right now, there are five different sets of rules that you can select for your match:

  • Survival Mode: When someone scores a goal, a random player from the scoring club is taken off the pitch (except the goalkeeper)
  • No Rules: No offside calls, fouls, or bookings; pure chaos
  • Long Range: Goals scored in the box count as normal, but anything scored from outside the box count as two goals
  • First to…: Set up a custom win condition, whether it’s golden goal (first to score), first to three goals, etc. The match will play to the clock as normal, unless the condition is met
  • Headers & Volleys: Headers, volleys, free kicks, and penalties are the only ways that you can score goals in this match type. Any other type of goal will be disallowed

In addition to the different types of matches that you can play in FIFA 19 Kick Off, a new stat tracking system has been integrated into the mode on Xbox One. Wins, goals scored, average possession, and shots on target are among the stats being tracked for every match you play in the mode.

This also means that you can track head-to-head stats with friends, using a new Kick Off ID system that you can create and link to your Microsoft account. Log in to your Kick Off ID on your friend’s Xbox One (and vice versa) to track and view all your stats and records.

Thanks to all these little details, Kick Off mode is finding new life in FIFA 19, ready to impress an entirely new generation of gamers. Pre-order FIFA 19 on Xbox One today so you can jump right into this exciting new feature as soon as the game is released worldwide on September 28.

Avatars on the Xbox One Dashboard: Q&A

With the pre-release of 1810 you should now be seeing the new avatars throughout the Xbox One dashboard!

We are excited to hear what you think about them and would love to get your feedback. If you haven’t already, please take the time to fill out our Xbox Insider survey on avatars.

We have heard that some users are uncertain where avatars should show up. We want to help clear up any confusion.

First, as we roll out the feature, many of your friends may not have access to create their own avatar. You will see more avatars as the feature rolls out broadly and more and more of your friends are able to create avatars.

Next, you should check whether you have chosen to represent yourself as an avatar or a gamerpic. This setting can be found under your profile after selecting “Customize profile.” From there you will want to make sure to check the “Show my avatar” checkbox. This will enable you to see your own avatar on your profile page and in activity feeds. Additionally, now that you have chosen to be represented as an avatar, your friends will be able to see your avatar in various locations through their Xbox One Dashboard, including activity feeds, and friend content blocks.

Finally, you should be aware that, the first time after taking a console update, your avatar my take up to 10 seconds to appear on your profile page. In this scenario, you will see a gamerpic for the first 10 seconds before your avatar fades in. This will only occur for your own avatar in Profile, not for other people’s avatars or other scenes with avatars. It also will only happen the first time after an update.

Whether you select an avatar or not, you will still be able to see the avatars of any friends who have chosen to represent themselves as avatars.

Here are the key locations where you can find the new avatars:

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I don’t see any avatars, is something broken?

A: This can happen if neither you nor any of your friends have chosen to represent themselves as avatars.  Refer to the section above on making changes to your profile to display your avatar.  Also note that, as we continue to roll out avatars more broadly, not all your fiends will have the ability to create their own avatars.  As more people get access to the new avatars, you will see more and more avatars appearing on the dashboard.

Q: Where can I see my own avatar?

A:  If you have your profile set to show your avatar, you can see them on your profile page and in any activity feed posts that you make.

Q: I think I did everything right, but I don’t see my own avatar on my profile page.  I only see a gamerpic.   What is wrong?

A: The first time you go to your profile page after receiving a console update, you will see your gamerpic for up to 10 seconds before your avatar fades in.

Q: Why don’t I see any avatars on Home?

A: Avatars pop up at the top of Home on occasion based on a variety of different factors.  Seeing them on Home is not guaranteed.  That said, you can always pin your friends to Home to show their avatars.

10 Tips & Tricks for Mastering Hyper Universe on Xbox One

If you’re looking for a high-speed MOBA that combines team strategy with side-scrolling action, then you’re in luck, because Nexon’s brand new free-to-play game Hyper Universe is officially out now on Xbox One! Hyper Universe pits you in a 4v4 match with the goal of eliminating the enemy team’s towers, giving you 39 colorful characters to choose from (called Hypers), each with a specialized skill set that can wreak havoc on your foes. With a huge array of characters and equipment at your disposal, Hyper Universe is easy to pick up, but tricky to master, which is why we’ve compiled a helpful list of tips and tricks to help you get out there and start wiping the floor with your enemies!

Tips and Tricks:

  • Familiarize yourself with different Hypers. Each Hyper can only be used by one teammate at a time, so have a backup ready in case someone chooses your main!
  • Create different equipment loadouts for the Hypers that you like to play. Every Hyper has a default loadout that they can select at the start of a match, but creating custom loadouts will allow you to vary your Hyper’s play style to mesh with your teammates and exploit your enemies’ weaknesses!

Hyper Universe Screenshot

  • When upgrading equipment, you’ll get the most value by completely upgrading one item before starting to upgrade another one. Fully upgraded items have special properties and abilities that they don’t have at lower levels.
  • Know your enemies. Your go-to target during a match should be your opponent’s least defensive Hypers and any low-health enemies. Focusing your attacks on these targets will ensure that your enemy’s forces are taken out of battle as quickly as possible.

Hyper Universe Screenshot

  • Positioning is key. If you’re near a tower, be wary of enemy Hypers like Admiral W., Arslan, Hondukei, or Athena—they can use their abilities to push or pull you within range of the tower’s targeting beam. Similarly, with good positioning, you can use your Hyper’s abilities to separate enemies from their team and allow your allies to make quick work of them.
  • You can use the lanes above or below your intended target to get behind them. Dropping down from a ladder or holo tile is a great way to get the drop on your enemy. Plan an ambush the right way, and your opponent will never see it coming!

Hyper Universe Screenshot

  • When chasing an enemy, you can maintain your pursuit speed by jumping and immediately attacking. Pulling off the attack in mid-air won’t break your momentum, and will allow you to continue doing damage to your enemies while they try to escape!
  • Killing Jungle mobs will give gold to everyone on your team. Certain camps also drop boxes that will give a permanent stats boost to your Hyper. Controlling the jungle is a great way to get an edge on the enemy. Make sure to have one or two team members patrolling the jungle while the rest of your team deals protects your towers.

Hyper Universe Screenshot

  • The Dragon on Dragon Refuge and Invader MK II on Delta Station drop powerful buffs when killed that can help turn the tide of battle. If you can’t find the enemy team, you should check these locations. If you arrive and find the enemy team attacking the boss, don’t worry. The buffs belong to whoever picks them up, not whoever gets the killing blow, so it’s possible to dash in and steal these rewards away from your foes.
  • Pressing Right on the D-Pad will allow you to ping your location to the mini-map to request assistance or alert your teammates to danger. You can use the Right Stick to ping other locations on the map as well. Use this to show teammates where you want them to go.

There’s plenty of battling to be done, so visit this page to start playing Hyper Universe now for free! You can also purchase the Ultimate Hypers Pack, which will instantly unlock all 39 available Hypers and grant you access to all Hypers released in the future. The pack will also nab you six Xbox One exclusive skins to wear on the battlefield, so pick up the Ultimate Hypers Pack on the Microsoft Store now for $19.99!

See you on the battlefield, Hypers!
