Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium Slams Down with 32 More Arcade Classics

Get ready to bust ‘bots, slay dragons, and go for the 3-count in Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium, a collection of 32 arcade classics available now on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S (via backward compatibility)! Today, we’re talking about a handful of stand-out titles that will have you ready to put your token up on the machine and say, “I got next!”

Black Tiger (1987)

Black Tiger (1987) Screenshot

Long, long ago, three dragons descended from the skies above with a rolling thunder, and plunged a kingdom into darkness…

Despite the name, this arcade game from Capcom’s early days tells the tale of a lone barbarian on a quest to defeat three terrifying dragons – not tigers – to rescue the kingdom from certain disaster. Featuring an upgrade system that allows you to improve your weapons, armor, and even total health as countless Capcom games since. Collect Zenny as you go, save the Wise Men trapped along the way to gain bonuses and buy new items, and save the kingdom!

Saturday Night Slam Masters (1993)

Saturday Night Slam Masters (1993) Screenshot

There’s nothing quite like the lights, sounds, and signs in the crowd arguing over which video game in a series is the best one when it comes to wrestling. This over-the-top wrestling game, known as Muscle Bomber – The Body Explosion – in Japan (how can you not love that name?), features character designs by Tetsuo Hara, best known for the manga “Fist of the North Star.” You are already pinned.

While Slam Masters plays like a fighting game at its core, the match isn’t over when you deplete your opponent’s stamina bar with strikes and grapples. Just like a pro wrestling match, you’ll need to take your foe to the mat with a pin and go for the three count. Alongside the many colorful characters on the cast ranging from American pro wrestlers to luchadores, you might also recognize a certain fighting mayor from Metro City. This Mike “Macho” Haggar guy looks awfully familiar…

Hyper Dyne Side Arms (1986)

Hyper Dyne Side Arms (1986) Screenshot

The interstellar Bozon Empire has launched a full-scale attack on Earth! It’s up to a pair of pilots to fly a massive mech, known as a Mobile suit, to defeat the Empire and save the Earth from being conquered.

While Hyper Dyne Side Arms looks like a classic side-scrolling shooter at first glance, complete with various upgradeable weapons and speed-ups (and speed-downs), where it really shines is in the ability to switch your weapons as you go. Swapping to the right weapon for the right job is key as you fly through stages, taking out enemies and dodging bullets. One of the game’s most unique features is its approach to co-op. Picking up a certain power-up in single player will call in an ally to power up your suit and give it an 8-way shot. In co-op, both players’ suits will merge, allowing one player to move and shoot their regular weapon while the second player controls the 8-way shot! Now that’s teamwork.

Knights of the Round (1991)

Knights of the Round (1991) Screenshot

This classic beat ‘em up is, as the name might suggest, based on the legend of King Arthur. Play as Arthur, Lancelot, or Perceval, and take up your sword (or axe) on a grand adventure across the kingdom!

Supporting up to three players at once, bring the hurt to your foes and pick up silver, gold, and treasure along the way to increase your score. The game also has a unique guard mechanic that, when timed properly, can unleash a devastating counter-attack, so don’t be afraid to play aggressively and go for a high score! As your score goes up, so does your level – and as your level goes up, you’ll gain improved armor and weapons, and ultimately become a hero worthy of being one of the Knights of the Round!

Mega Man – The Power Battle (1995) / Mega Man 2 – The Power Fighters (1996)

Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium: Mega Man: The Power Battle Screenshot

Super fighting robot… Mega Man! Super fighting robot… Mega Man!

Sorry, where was I? Oh, right. This pair of arcade games features the Blue Bomber himself, trading classic platforming for a more intense fighting-game style presentation. Depending on which game you play, you’ll be able to choose from Mega Man, Proto Man, Bass, and Duo, each with a different style of gameplay and a unique storyline for that character. Two players can even play co-op to take out Robot Masters together!

Each game also gives you three paths to follow as you bust baddies on your way to victory, with plenty of familiar foes to square off against from past Mega Man games. In classic Mega Man fashion, gain new powers from each defeated foe, and use them to find your opponent’s weakness on your mission to stop Dr. Wily’s latest evil ambitions!

That’s all and much more Capcom gems from the vault to discover. The game is out now on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S (via backward compatibility), so don’t forget to pick up a copy!

Lots of Content, Lots of Logging – Farming Simulator 22 is Growing

Summary

  • Farming Simulator 22 is currently playable via Free Play Days
  • Platinum Edition containing base game and expansion is up for pre-order
  • Free content is now available: modern and classic John Deere tractors

You know, there’s lots to do on a farm. You’re always as busy as a bee producing sweet, sweet honey while it’s increasing the yield of adjacent fields of crops (they really do, bees are buzzing awesome). Just like we are busy with cultivating new content for Farming Simulator 22 – Forests. Pumps. Hoses. Shiny Platinum Editions. Let’s talk about all that.

Soon, you’ll be able to harvest what we planted for you: the upcoming Platinum Edition and Platinum Expansion, two new content packs (Vermeer Pack and Pumps n’ Hoses Pack) plus free content and more. All coming this year. Continue reading for more details!

Want to try Farming Simulator 22 for free? You can do it right now!

Quick FYI: Check out Free Play Days and play Farming Simulator 22 on Xbox this weekend! If you’re new to (virtual) farming, you might want to take a look at our Farming Simulator Academy, a growing set of tutorials to assist you with your first steps on the fields.

And, if you think, “Hey wow, those Farming Simulator people seem more interesting than I thought”, you can even join FarmCon by watching our live stream this Saturday – we’re meeting fans at the John Deere Forum in Germany to present the following content live and look for the best (virtual) bale stacker. Streaming on our official Giants Software Twitch channel starts at 10 am CEST on July 23rd and lasts until the evening. But let’s get back to the new stuff that’s coming soon.

Farming Simulator 22 - Volvo

Happy Little Tree Planting and Lots of Logging

With the Platinum Expansion & Platinum Edition (containing the base game + expansion), we add a huge amount of new content to the game. Both launch on November 15th, and pre-orders are available now. We push the number of authentic vehicles and tools by renowned agricultural brands up to more than 500. Volvo Group is joining the Farming Simulator universe with the expansion! Also included: more machines by IMPEX, Koller, Komatsu, Pfanzelt, Schwarzmüller, and others to care for fields and forest.

If you’re into forestry, the new map called Silverrun Forest becomes your new playground to harvest trees and distribute the logs for new production chains and various points of interest that develop thanks to your deliveries. That includes a small shipyard, where boats take off when you provide enough wood. More importantly, you can plant new types of trees and create an even more impressive landscape inspired by the Pacific Northwest of the United States. New missions included. Have your new tree markers handy!

Farming Simulator 22 - FarmCon

Vermeer and More – We’re Not Done, Yet!

With the Vermeer Pack, another new content pack is coming to Farming Simulator 22 and it’s coming in just a few weeks. In addition to the world’s first self-propelled baler, the Vermeer pack includes five efficient and unique machines from the North-American manufacturer. If you’re into baling (you should, it’s fun), you’ll be able to produce bales as fast as possible, with great comfort and maneuverability. Like the Platinum Edition and Platinum Expansion, you can pre-order the Vermeer Pack right now – and on August 23, you can start baling.

Farming Simulator 22 - Vermeer

Let’s Pump It Up! Get Your Hoses Ready…

Presented and published by Giants Software, our dear friends at the game development studio Creative Mesh (started as a modding team and best known for their third-party add-ons for past Farming Simulator installments), are currently working on the Pumps n’ Hoses Pack. It’ll allow you to extend your farming operations with so-called umbilical systems (using pumps and hoses to spread fertilizer more efficiently and soil-friendly), manure separation, and configurable biogas plants. It’s available for pre-order now and will be released on September 27.

Farming Simulator 22 - Pumps and Hoses

Okay, Here’s Some Free Content Right Now!

If you want something new RIGHT NOW, then visit the official in-game ModHub, where we provide you with Giants-tested mods by our community and a selection of machines we introduce ourselves for everyone to download for free – like the John Deere 5M and the classic John Deere 710. Both tractors are now available, free of charge, so they’re on us and John Deere. Have fun! And, if we see you at FarmCon at the John Deere Forum or in our livestream this weekend, say hello to our developers!

Battle Erupts on the USS Texas 1975

The classic Multiplayer map introduced in Call of Duty: WWII makes its debut in Vanguard. From bow to stern, USS Texas 1945 will test your skills at every turn, from long-range battles on the decks to close-quarters mayhem in the interior. Fight for your spot among the battleship’s several power positions to take control of the match and skyrocket to the top of the scoreboard.

Become a Weapons Master in Blueprint Gun Game

Be the first to progress through 18 different weapons to win this fan-favorite party mode now live in Vanguard. Get a taste of the huge variety of cosmetics available, as each weapon features a different Weapon Blueprint.

Eliminate a player with your current weapon to move on to the next or take them out with a melee attack to set them back one weapon. And don’t even think about hiding in the shadows, as a persistent UAV pings all Operators throughout the match, encouraging daring and aggressive play.

Enter the Swamp of Death in Shi No Numa

Classic, round-based Zombies is back with Shi No Numa, aka the Swamp of Death. Jolt the horde with electrical traps, smash them with the flogger, and discover a Wonder Weapon that will see you blasting into the high rounds.

Your objective is to find a relic rumored to sever the bond between Dark Aether entities and their human hosts. This is your best chance to cast Kortifex the Deathless out of the villain Von List, thus rendering him powerless. Enter if you dare and use every power to your advantage, from the Altar of Covenants and Tome of Rituals to the Pack-A-Punch machine and more.

Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels is Now Available

Today is the day! All of us at Playground Games are so excited to bring you Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels. This is our first big expansion for Forza Horizon 5 and features our fastest, most extreme, gravity-defying tracks, new biomes to explore and tons of new cars and features.

New Biomes + Tracks

Hot Wheels Park features a ton of new and diverse biomes: from the rugged Giant’s Canyon; to the frozen tundra dripping into the molten lava in the Ice Cauldron; to the tree canopy towering above epic waterfalls in Forest Falls; and all brought together under the exhilarating Horizon Nexus, where the Horizon Festival is suspended among the interconnected Hot Wheels tracks.

Forza Horizon 5 - Hot Wheels Screenshot

But we didn’t just stop there with new biomes. We’ve introduced new track types – 212 kilometers (131 miles) of Hot Wheels tracks to be precise – to make your Hot Wheels experience unlike anything else. From navigating the snowy Ice track, to hydroplaning on Water Flumes, staying in control over the bumps of Rumble, and even defying gravity on the futuristic Magnet tracks – there’s something for everyone. In addition to the instant acceleration push granted by Speed Boosts, the all-new Air Tracks give you consistent speed through time, allowing you to progressively get faster and faster before reaching the highest possible speeds.

What else is new?

In addition to the new map, Horizon Hot Wheels Park, high above the clouds in Mexico, there’s all sorts of new features to explore. Let’s jump in!

Become a Hot Wheels Legend: You’ll need to prove that you can master the extreme speeds of Hot Wheels Park before progressing onto faster and faster car classes. The Hot Wheels Academy introduces a new progression system that’s divided into five tiers with rewards, events and Missions associated to each.

Forza Horizon 5 - Hot Wheels Screenshot

A new Horizon Story: Hot Wheels: A History of Speed features five chapters, which are unlocked alongside your Hot Wheels Rank, taking you on a comprehensive journey of the history of Hot Wheels as you perform fun stunts and challenges along the way.

Forza Horizon 5 - Hot Wheels Screenshot

Race your friends and the community: In a first for the franchise, you can now join friends and play the entire expansion from the very beginning in co-op, including the introductory Hot Wheels Expedition.

Create your own Hot Wheels adventure in EventLab: The Hot Wheels Creation Kit features over 80 track and stunt pieces that can be instantly snapped together. We didn’t just stop there. Blueprints created on the base game’s Mexico map that utilize Hot Wheels props can even be played by non-expansion owners as well.

Forza Horizon 5 - Hot Wheels Screenshot

Get Your Skills On: Horizon Hot Wheels Park features a new UI reticle that we’re calling G-Forza. This roll indicator dynamically changes based on the car’s rotation while driving on Hot Wheels tracks with skills being triggered based on the car’s speed and tilt angle. You can bank skill after a certain minimum distance of being consistently tilted, or you can keep the skill chains going by driving extreme but clean.

Forza Horizon 5 - Hot Wheels Screenshot

New accessibility options to Forza Horizon 5: Exclusive to when playing on Hot Wheels Park, new camera FOV options are coming to console for the first time, including Chase Cam FOV and Far Chase Cam FOV. By default, these are set to maximum and will not be reflected when driving in Mexico. PC users can also customize these settings as well as Driver Cam FOV, Dashboard Cam FOV, Hood Cam FOV, and Bumper Cam FOV.

Additionally, we’ve added a Motion Blur toggle on console allowing players to choose between Short and Long Motion Blur or disable the feature entirely. And a new Hot Wheels Stunt Steering assist can also be toggled which helps steer you away from track edges when driving through highly tilted or inverted Hot Wheels track pieces.

It’s All About the Cars: Last and certainly not least, you can look forward to driving 10 new cars in Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels. After completing the Hot Wheels Expedition you’ll arrive at the Horizon Hot Wheels Park with the first new car, the 2013 hot Wheels Baja Bone Shaker. Check out this Forza.net blog post to learn about all the cars in Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels.

Forza Horizon 5 - Hot Wheels Screenshot

How can I play?

Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels is already included in the Forza Horizon 5 Premium Add-ons BundlePremium Edition, and Expansions Bundle – so you’re all set and can start playing now. If you don’t happen to have any of those bundles, you can purchase the standalone Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels expansion directly for $19.99 USD.

There are two parts to this update – a free one, with an entirely new biome for you to discover in the Survival Mode, and a paid, new portion of the Story Campaign, taking place in that biome. Let me tell you all about the new features!

In the new chapter of the Story Campaign, you will get the chance to explore a previously undiscovered area of Galatea 37 – the Metallic Valley. This mysterious place bore witness to a great cataclysm long before your arrival on the planet. Those events changed the landscape and the inhabitants of the Valley forever. Most of the life forms you will encounter seem to be made of organic matter fused with metal. You will need to conduct thorough research to piece together what actually happened in this place. Your journey will be full of dangers the likes of which you have not seen before, but the rewards will push your technology forward by a country mile… if you survive, that is. The new Story Campaign part adds several hours of gameplay, taking you on a series of unique missions.

The free part of the update comes with an entirely new map for the Survival Mode. It is situated in the new Metallic Valley biome and will pit you against all kinds of metallic hybrids that will try to stop you from reaching your goal. Lucky for you, dozens of new technologies available to you will guarantee that you have the right tools at your disposal to face your enemies. This update also includes an extensive rebalancing of the Survival Mode and other quality of life fixes our community asked for. You will have access to more technologies right away, get specialized loadouts for all survival maps, and get the ability to download blueprints from the Alien Research tree without the need to build a laboratory. All these changes make Survival Mode more dynamic and give you a lot of flexibility.

With loads of new content and improvements, there is no better time to come back to The Riftbreaker if you have played it before. And if you have not – check it out on your Xbox Series console or your Windows PC through Xbox Game Pass. The world of Galatea 37 is all yours to discover!

You play the role of captain Ashley S. Nowak – you are the Riftbreaker, an elite scientist/commando inside a powerful Mecha-Suit. Enter a one-way portal to Galatea 37, a distant planet at the far reaches of the Milky Way Galaxy, with the purpose of building up a base that will allow travel back to Earth and further colonization. Ashley’s Mecha-suit, which she calls “Mr. Riggs”, can withstand the harshest environment conditions and has a full range of equipment for base construction, resource extraction, gathering specimens and of course – combat. It is capable of traveling through rifts that connect space across vast distances. CAMPAIGN
Take on an epic journey across all the different biomes of Galatea 37. You will establish multiple persistent bases across the globe that will fuel your economy. Research alien substances and lifeforms, as well as fight hordes of alien creatures, clearly not happy with your interference in the natural order of the planet. The campaign spans multiple hours and offers a remarkable degree of freedom in a super detailed, procedurally generated world. You can decide on the order of your priorities and what technologies you want to use. You’re the only human there, after all. SURVIVAL
Your mission is to survive a set amount of time, fighting off increasingly difficult waves of enemy creatures. Each mission in the game is randomized, offering nearly endless replayability. SANDBOX
If intense fight for survival is not your thing either, then try out the Sandbox mode, where we give you control over the entire game – including resources, enemy spawns, and weather conditions. BASE BUILDING
Your task is to construct a two-way rift back to Earth. It is a very complex invention and requires enormous amounts of energy. Simple solar collectors and a few tons of steel will not be enough. You will need to build up a complex chain of mines, refineries, powerplants and research facilities to complete this mission. EXPLORATION
Galatea 37 is an unknown planet in the Sycorax belt of the Milky Way galaxy. Long distance surveys detected that it is inhabitable and perfect for colonization. The planet is full of rare minerals and substances that can be found in various locations around the globe. Varied biomes can surprise you with unknown fauna and flora as well as harsh weather conditions. Construct local outposts, in resource-rich locations that will transport the required resources using the rift technology. CUSTOMIZE YOUR GAMEPLAY
The Riftbreaker™’s gameplay can be customized to fit your playstyle. You can change the frequency of enemy attacks as well as their strength and numbers, resource abundance, weather events, enemy damage, and tons of other settings. There are also multiple difficulty presets to suit the needs of both hardcore strategy players as well as those that want a laid-back base-building experience.

Secret Neighbor’s Paranormal Amusement Park Update is out Now for Xbox Series X|S & Xbox One

Summary

  • The Paranormal Amusement Park Update is live now for Xbox Series X|S & Xbox One and Game Pass.
  • Jump into the multiplayer Social Horror game set in the Hello Neighbor universe.
  • This update includes a brand new Neighbor class, map, emotes & more!

School’s out, summer break is in full swing, and it’s time to get your game on!

The Secret Neighbor team is excited to bring you a brand new batch of midsummer hijinks with The Paranormal Amusement Park Update. Featuring a new Neighbor class, map, graphical updates, emotes, hidden treasures, and more! Here’s everything you need to know about it.

Welcome to the multiplayer horror game set in the Hello Neighbor universe. You are a member of the Neighborhood Rescue Squad, a group of kids who will stop at nothing to rescue their friend Nicky Roth from their Neighbor’s creepy clutches. However, no heist is without danger, as one of your trusted team is the Neighbor in disguise.

Do You Think They Have Funnel Cake?

Now that the weather has taken a welcomed turn to the warmer side, staying indoors can start to feel a bit stuffy. So let’s take a trip outside the Neighborhood and explore the now (in)famous abandoned Golden Apple Amusement Park in a brand new map.

The new Amusement Park map sports a large, mostly open-air environment. Due to this, it’s vastly different from all previous maps in both looks and layout from what you may have experienced before. You should also keep an extra sharp eye out because this map is also the first to feature a 4th keycard and matching door. Aside from layout and location, this map sports a few other new attributes as well.

In a nod to the original Hello Neighbor, tomato plants will make their debut in map 5, The Golden Apple Amusement Park! Snag one in passing and hurl it into the eyes of your attacker to thwart their advance. Or maybe you lost your flashlight or needed a last-minute powerup. New vending machines could give you an edge over your enemy when you need it most…for a price.

The Neighbor is Going Ghost!

As if the park wasn’t scary enough on its own at night, recently there have been reports of paranormal activity spotted in the area. Could it be the Neighbor’s doing? Only one way to find out! Keep a keen eye out for flickering lights and glowing blue ectoplasm and if you feel a chill go up your spine, it’s time to run.

Introducing: The Ghost Neighbor! His abilities include a spectral ghost transformation capable of flight and phasing through walls, and an ultimate ability that can temporarily disable every light within close proximity. This phantom menace has a weakness to light as it prevents changing back into his more corporeal form to grab you, so it’s now more important than ever to keep your trusty flashlight on you at all times. Light switches have also been added to every map to help players stay out of his cursed grasp.

Not All Treasures Are Silver and Gold

You may have noted a few new areas available from the lobby screen. If you’re new to the Neighborhood, or just feeling a bit rusty you can brush up on the basics with the brand new Tutorial Rooms. Get a hands-on overview of in-game items and how to use them or play through a brief single-player tutorial with character-specific challenges that let you learn a new class on the fly. Don’t forget to check out the abilities of the new Ghost Neighbor class before starting a match!

The Treasure room lets you earn and display mementos obtained by participating in special team-based in-game events. We won’t give up all our secrets but there are currently four hidden events available, the newest of which involves a ghastly incident buried right in the amusement park. To get to the bottom of it you’ll need to scour every nook and cranny across multiple maps. Solving this mystery will take the whole Neighborhood Rescue Squad and maybe even some help from an…unlikely source? If you find yourself short of team members to take on this new challenge, check out our Discord to meet friends and match-make!

Carny neighbor

No update would be complete without spiffy new skins. The circus may have shut its doors but you may still see lions in the big top, so stop by the shop to see the latest offerings! While you’re there, check out the new Emotion section and snag one of three new Neighbor Emotes to inflict a little psychological damage on your foes.

You’re now well-equipped and ready to take on anything this new update can throw at you. We hope you enjoy your visit to the Amusement Park and may your flashlight batteries last well into the wee hours of the morning, now get out there and show that you ain’t afraid of no ghost!
