Though the Harmonizer may not sound like an intimidating weapon, the primary destruction device of the Waker is sure to make its mark.
Answering the question “Are there mounts in NGS?” is about to become more difficult with the introduction of one of the Waker’s abilities – Fredran Riding.
Blocking attacks makes Marmelo the familiar angry, and at a certain point its wrath can be explosive.
This is not the first time a new class has been introduced to Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis(PSO2:NGS) since its launch in June of 2021. The sci-fi-themed action RPG saw the addition of Braver, a bow and katana-wielding powerhouse in August of the same year, followed by Bouncer blasting in on Jet Boots with Soaring Blades in October. The introduction of Waker this week will be quite different, however, in that it is not a class that was present in Phantasy Star Online 2 (PSO2).
While it bears a faint resemblance to the popular class of Summoner from PSO2 in choice of weapon (the Harmonizer), this class does not coddle, feed, or otherwise cavort with pets. No, there’s definitely no candy box to manage here. Waker unleashes photonic, animalistic manifestations of death and destruction in an artful dance in keeping with the fluid combat-style of the game. This class is not afraid to get up-close and personal with enemies, though it can also deal damage from afar. With both single-target and area of effect (AOE) damage abilities, Waker is as versatile as it is complex, and I’ll describe what I mean by that in the paragraphs below.
As mentioned above, the Waker uses the Harmonizer, and by taking the skill Harmonizer Focus from their Skill Tree, the Waker contributes to the Focus Gauge of the Familiar associated with the Photon Art (PA) they use to damage an enemy. In short, if you do some ground-pounding with a Wulfren-related PA, you’ll build the Focus Gauge of Wulfren. Ride Fredran into battle and mow down your enemies (yes, you can and it’s a PA called Fredran Riding) and you’ll increase the Focus Gauge of Fredran. Additionally, there’s a rather large payoff to building up their Focus Gauges in tandem, as you can then expend some of each by using the Class Skill Familiar Harmony, which unleashes them simultaneously for some harmonious havoc.
The above may sound fairly simple, but the game changes when you consider that each one of the abilities available to Waker changes when “charged,” or the button is held down for a certain period of time before release. For instance, the aforementioned ability Fredran Riding, when used normally simply directs the Fredran to fire a ranged blast at enemies. The real magic comes when you charge the ability and subsequently find yourself charging enemies on your winged familiar. When the PA is finally released, Fredran goes out in a blaze of glory and takes the enemies ahead of you with it.
Wulfen Demolition is also complicated, with actions performed by the hulking familiar different depending on not only whether you charge the ability or not, but also for how long you charge the ability. Uncharged, Wulfen performs a shockwave attack. Charged for a short amount of time, Wulfen will perform his ground-pound and cause some aftershocks to occur in the surrounding area for a bit. Charged for a longer amount of time, you’ll consume additional PP and Wulfen will perform a much stronger attack than his normal ground-pound. These are only two of the abilities that Waker can use in battle, and the others are no less intricate.
In addition, there’s another familiar that comes at the call of the Waker – Marmelo. Upon successfully deflecting an enemy attack by using your Weapon Action, Marmelo will grow (up to twice its size). Holding the Weapon Action before release will then throw Marmelo at enemies, causing an explosion upon direct hit. Finally, the Waker can also take the ability Treble Clef Marking from their Skill Tree – which causes Normal Attacks, after several are directed at the same enemy, to apply a “mark” that increases damage taken as well as Down Factor applied (increases the chance of a stun, basically.) Pressing and holding Normal Attack while targeting a Treble Clef-marked enemy will cause the mark to detonate.
There are other things in the Skill Tree of the Waker that make gameplay even more interesting, but just based on the above you could easily find yourself charging into battle aboard a winged familiar, causing an earthquake, summoning both familiars at the same time for tandem mayhem, hurling a different familiar like a bomb, all while detonating marked enemies in between. This is not leisurely gameplay but is an absolute “blast” once you get the hang of it. If you’ve become quite fond of your current class but are intrigued by Waker, you should know that you are able to select it as a sub-class, however the benefits of doing so come mainly in the form of ensuring your survival, since many abilities rely on use of the Harmonizer.
If you’re not playing PSO2:NGS yet, then now is a great time to familiarize yourself (pun intended). All you have to do is visit the Xbox or Windows Store on console or PC and download the game for free to experience the wonder of planet Halpha for yourself.
As we approach two months since Narkaka: Bladepoint’s explosive launch onto Xbox, a whole new cooperative campaign mode known as Showdown will be arriving in-game on August 5, available to all players on Xbox Series X|S, Windows 10/11 PC, and with Game Pass as a free update.
Taking the exhilarating combat from the popular battle royale mode, players can take on the challenge in teams of three (trios) in this new mode. Across two stages, players will be pitted against a variety of challenges of varying difficulties as ferocious enemies surround and attack them. As the difficulty ramps up, trios will need to communicate and collaborate to survive and emerge victorious.
At launch, teams will have four heroes to choose from: Kurumi, Tarka, Valda, and Viper. Each will come equipped with their own unique melee and ranged weapon set, encouraging players to utilise a variety of abilities to tackle hordes of enemies across the map.
Showdown culminates with a truly epic boss battle, as the teams face down Omni, a formidable and challenging boss; one who has orchestrated all the evil doings and chaos befalling players up to this point.
Progression is an integral part of Showdown, with players rewarded for each success as they battle through the new game mode. Each character can be upgraded and will be gifted new equipment, with the added ability to unlock even more new skills. As each hero builds their strength and skills, teams can progress toward tackling higher difficulties — and earning significantly more impactful rewards as they do so.
Naraka: Bladepoint has alwaysrepresented a bold new step in the battle royale genre. Additions like Showdown build on that innovation; offering players completely new experiences, as well as novel and rewarding ways to develop their close-quarters combat and melee skills within the game.

Raiden IV x Mikado Remixis coming to Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One early 2023.
Experience the definitive version of the highly-praised Raiden IV.
Enjoy new gameplay modes, music, play styles, and more!
High-octane action soars onto the scene in Raiden IV x Mikado Remix, coming to Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One in early 2023! The core gameplay of this series includes the classic vertical scrolling and top-down aerial combat that the shoot ’em up genre is famous for. However, this title’s arsenal of gameplay modes, remixed music, new play styles, and more are what set it apart from the competition.
Arcade Origins
Raiden was first released in Mikado Game Center arcades throughout Japan in April 1990 by Tecmo. After a few decades of additional titles and a new developer in Moss, Raiden IV was first released in 2007. By 2008, it had made its way from arcades to the Xbox 360. And now, over six years after the release of Raiden V on the Xbox One, Raiden IV x Mikado Remix aims to establish itself as the most definitive version of this title on Xbox to date.
Game Modes
Raiden IV x Mikado Remix comes outfitted with several exciting game modes. Arcade Mode hails from the original release of Raiden IV, and sports two difficulties, Light for beginners and Original for advanced players. It also utilizes the Flash Shot scoring mechanic, meaning the faster you take down enemies, the higher your score will be. This encourages playing near the top of the screen to hit enemies as they spawn, which of course brings with it a high level of risk. Additional Mode has the same mechanic, but adds two new stages along with new enemy bullet patterns.
OverKill Mode, first introduced in Raiden IV: Overkill, adds two new missions and replaces the Flash Shot scoring system with one of its own. After destroying a larger enemy, they’ll remain on-screen for a few seconds, offering you a chance to earn a higher score bonus the more you keep attacking them. However, that means turning your attention away from new enemies who spawn during that time. In Score Attack Mode, every stage is available to replay for the highest score. And finally, Boss Rush offers you a quick shortcut to every end-of-stage boss without having to fuss with completing every level again.
Turn Up the Volume
Named for the addition of remixed background music in collaboration with Game Center Mikado, Raiden IV x Mikado Remix features tracks from legendary artists such as the Go Sato Band, Heavy Metal Raiden, O.T.K., and more. This soundtrack also includes live performances, new arrangements, and allows players to choose between the original Raiden IV background music or the remixed version.
Choose Your Ship
On top of selecting your game mode and music preference, you also have three different ships to choose from, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. The Fighting Thunder ME-02 is the most balanced, with respectable weapon strength and speed. The Raiden MK-II is the classic ship of the series, sacrificing speed for higher damage. And finally, the Fairy is the smallest and fastest of all the ships and is meant for players who are seeking a challenge.
Play Your Way
While you might think those are enough options to choose from, Raiden IV x Mikado Remix isn’t done yet. You also get to select a play style, each of which drastically changes the game. Solo Play is pretty self-explanatory, while Dual Play lets you and a buddy play together, complete with couch co-op. Double Play on the other hand allows one player to control two ships at the same time, offering a unique and challenging spin on whichever game mode you pair it with.
With a host of game modes, play styles, ships, and music to choose from, Raiden IV x Mikado Remixgives players the ability to create an experience as exciting and challenging as they wish. This, along with Smart Delivery, makes Xbox the perfect place to play this game, and we hope you join us when it arrives in early 2023!
Welcome to an exciting school year at Copperdale High!
Copperdale is an ideal place to realize your high school dreams, explore your identity, and test boundaries as you make friends, experience iconic teenage moments, and grow into the Sim you want to be. Located on the banks of Lake LaSuli, this former mining town features seven lots built by The Sims 4 community creators including MsGryphi, who built the combination thrift store/boba hangout ThrifTea; xfreezerbunnyx, who built the library; and JOL1990, who built the principal’s mansion.
Blaze Trails Through High School
Teenage life in Copperdale revolves around the high school. It’s where your teen Sims will form lifelong friendships, develop their first crushes, choose their favorite extracurricular activities, and graduate to adulthood.
Teen Sims will attend class, hang out with friends, enjoy lunch in the cafeteria, take weekly exams, and maybe try to skip class and earn themselves a detention (watch out for the principal) during school hours. Then, after school, students can attend events like the science fair or participate in activities like football, cheerleading, chess, and computer club.
The extracurriculars your Sims can join include both clubs and teams like football or cheer. At these activities teen Sims will practice skill related activities, participate in competitions, and experience the thrill of victory (and the bitter sting of defeat) alongside their teammates.
Young love is also very much in the air. Your Sims will feel the flutters that come with teenage crushes and maybe work up the courage to ask the object of their affections out – or they could get lucky and their crush could make the first move! Of course, the flip side of this is the angst of unrequited feelings or first ever breakups.
Pro tip: Plumbite Pier – the local amusement park – is the perfect date spot!
Stir Things Up with Pranks and Fashion
Spice up your teen Sims life by letting them get into a bit of trouble. In High School Years there is more potential than ever for teen Sims to explore their mischievous sides by pulling pranks. They might mark up the whiteboard, leave a stink capsule in someone’s locker, or tamper with the school’s PA system! Just be careful not to get caught. While pulling successful pranks will increase a Sim’s mischief skill, being discovered will have consequences and may lead to trust issues.
Teen Sims can also have fun hanging out in their bedrooms, sitting cross-legged on their beds together, or even having pillow fights. Or, if they’re sick of being cooped up, they can sneak out of the house after curfew using The E Window and Trellis Ladder, which will let them climb down the side of the house and escape for a night of fun (again, try not to get caught).
Fashion has always been a huge part of The Sims because it is the ultimate form of self-expression. A collaboration with Depop will give your teen Sims even more styles to discover with looks designed by real-world Depop sellers Jeremy Salazar, Sha’an d’Anthes, Lapoze McTribouy, Selena Williams, and Bella McFadden.
Sports Stars, Prom Royalty, and Valedictorians
Every high school experience requires two key events: prom and graduation.
Prom is the most exciting, if anxiety-inducing, night of many teen Sims’ high school years. To prepare they can present a promposal sign to their crush, choose the perfect outfit, have friends over to get ready, and vote for prom royalty. Dance routines, music, snacks, and more are all within your control as the player.
The graduation ceremony is the big event marking a Sim’s transition to adulthood. To prepare, Sims will invite guests, decide on their outfits, and even get gifts for their school friends and favorite teachers.
It’s time to experience the rollercoaster of puberty, the drama of first love, and the journey of self-discovery with The Sims 4 High School Years Expansion.

The T-800 is described by Skynet as the first cybernetic organism, perfectly able to blend in with humans utilizing living tissue over a hyper alloy skeleton. After a mid-life crisis, its passion became protecting John Connor, acting like a stepfather to him. Its focus is on terminating threats, and yet it has no preferred fighting style; it is comfortable with weapons, vehicles, and even hand-to-hand combat.
The Tracer Pack: T-800 Limited Time Bundle features the original Terminator from “Terminator 2: Judgment Day.” Leading the 10-item bundle is the Ultra Model T-800 Operator, including 49 Quips, three of which are earned by leveling up the Operator. A product of Skynet, the T-1000 is an advanced AI model made from liquid metal. Its passion is infiltrating the human resistance, its focus is terminating their members, and it is relentless in both pursuits.
Get the Tracer Pack: T-1000 Limited Time Bundle to become the T-800’s nemesis, capable of transforming and mimicking its prey. The Ultra Model T-1000 Operator includes 14 unique Quips, three earned through leveling the Operator, plus 60 Mimicry Quips disguised as other Operators. The T-1000 also features the Blocker Remover Finishing Move, the “My Turn” Highlight Intro, and the “I Wouldn’t Worry” MVP Highlight.
The Bundle also includes three Legendary Weapon Blueprints: the Liquid Metal SMG, the Persistent Mission Assault Rifle, and the Identity Theft LMG. Rounding out the 10-item bundle is the Legendary Unstoppable Animated Calling Card, the Animated Full Chase Emblem, and the Alternative Future Watch.

Deploy to the Terminator-Themed Titanium Trials
From August 11 through August 24, compete in the Titanium Trials: Endurance Battle Royale Playlist, and complete tasks to earn additional Terminator-inspired rewards like the Titanium Chrome Assault Rifle Weapon Blueprint, the “I’ll Be Back” Calling Card, and more.
Armor is everything in this limited-time mode, as players experience Warzone as a Terminator would. Deploy as the Model T-800 or T-1000 and further rewards may come.
New Terminator Merch in the Call of Duty Store
To celebrate this limited-time crossover between Warzone and “Terminator 2: Judgment Day,” the Call of Duty Store is dropping a limited-run line of “Buy Me Back” shirts.
An iteration of the original “Buy Me Back” design, this version of the crewneck shirt features the deadly Skynet-produced robots from the future. There will also be another limited-run shirt, “Sweats don’t feel pain, bots do,” that will be available in the Store.
This exclusive drop will be in limited quantities, so do not miss out on owning a piece of history.
Zombies Reign in Rebirth of the Dead
The undead have infiltrated Warzone in a new limited-time mode: Rebirth of the Dead. This Mini Royale hosts up to 40 players divided into Quads. Operators who are eliminated will return to life as a Zombie, with the following abilities at their disposal:
Charged Jump: Close distances or switch up movement patterns with this fast-recharging ability. The longer you hold down the command to make a Charged Jump, the farther and higher you’ll leap.
EMP Blast: Destroy enemy electronics — including equipment like Proximity Mines, as well as vehicles and digital optics — and disable the HUD of any Operators within the blast radius.
Gas Grenade: Damage and disorient your enemies using the Gas Grenade, which spews out toxic particles in a small radius emanating from you. Great when combined with the EMP Blast in close quarters.
To return as a living Operator, Zombies must collect four syringes throughout the environment by eliminating Operators and searching in Supply Boxes, Medical Supplies, and Buy Stations. Loose syringes will be outlined through obstacles to make them easier to spot. Perform a Finishing Move on an Operator to earn four at once for an instant redeploy.
New Infestation Mechanic and Medical Supplies
Infestation brings the spirit of a late-round Zombies rush to Warzone, as Operators may need to fight off dozens of recently respawned Zombies in a tense battle for survival.
The Infestation meter is shown on the player HUD throughout the match, filling up as zombies are eliminated. Once the meter is full, the Infestation event begins.
At the start of an Infestation, every spectator — Zombies who were KIA — will respawn. This gives an “extra afterlife” to players who may have gotten eliminated early from the game.
The other event during Rebirth of the Dead is the Medical Supplies event. This event deposits Medical Supplies containing syringes and high-rarity gear around the map. Operators can crack them open for their Zombified squadmates.
Other than these differences, the rules of Rebirth of the Dead are like a standard Mini Royale: the circle collapse waits for no Operator or Zombie, although the latter can move through the gas, and the last surviving squad wins. Look for the Rebirth of the Dead Playlist in Warzone as part of the midseason update.
You know what would be good right about now? Goats. Unfortunately, we don’t have any yet… but there’s not long to wait. All of us here at Coffee Stain Publishing and Coffee Stain North are very (cautiously) excited to announce that Goat Simulator 3 will be launching November 17 for Xbox Series X|S, the perfect time of year to snuggle up on the sofa and role play as a goat.
In case you missed it, we announced Goat Simulator 3 back in June. It’s a direct sequel to 2014’s Goat Simulator and is set to be the grand return of no one’s favorite female protagonist, Pilgor. The new game will be a fresh take on the old farmyard-fueled mayhem players know and love, but this time you’ll be able to jump into four-person multiplayer with a whole new sandbox island to explore and destroy.

The biggest addition in the history of World of Warships: Legends is here! The update adds a whole new tier bringing 14 ships of 3 types and 4 nations initially, and also affects matchmaking and economy. Here’s a quick summary of the sea-shaking content and massive changes:
Tier VIII is Here
12 new Tier VIII researchable ships (destroyers, cruisers, and battleships) in the tech tree for USA, Japan, Germany, and Soviet Union, including battleship Maine, cruiser Roon, and destroyer Yūgumo, with more to arrive in upcoming updates;
2 Premium ships of Tier VIII, distributed through campaign and auction, respectively: French battleship République and German destroyer Elbing;
High-tier matchmaking will be pitching Tier VII, VIII, and Legendary ships against each other for the current update only, then switching to +/-1 rule, essentially still putting Tier VIII ships against Tier VII and Legendary Tier opposition, but never at the same time;
Economy changes make Tier VII ships much more attractive in terms of stacking up credits
Third Anniversary Celebrations
Legends’ third anniversary brings gifts and bonuses. Windroses for all ships from Tier IV to Legendary, first win bonus bumped to x5, special ‘Treasure Hunt’ web event with free rewards, and – most importantly – a gift bundle. ‘Symphony of the Night’ is centered around first Commonwealth ship, Tier II Premium destroyer Vampire and Commander Leonard Murray alongside her. A solid set of camos and other in-game items included!
Alongside bonuses, you will be able to take part in two Bureau projects: free Legendary Birthday 2022, rewarding crates and more goods for a look back at the significant landmarks of the past year of Legends, and a 3,000-Steel Colbert one, with Legendary Tier French cruiser-firestarter at the pinnacle of it.
L’Ambassadeur campaign
Tier VIII French République is the crown jewel of this 100-milestone, 5-week challenge. She is the first ship of the all-new tier to become available as the main campaign prize with more to come, preserving the tradition of the ultimate reward being – mostly – of the highest non-Legendary tier.
She brings to the fray huge 17-inch (431 mm) guns with rapid reload in a solid 4×2 layout and more than respectable antiair capabilities, with all of that spiced up by Engine Boost consumable.
Balance changes
Tier VI Weimar is moving to Tier VII with an additional consumable slot added; she will find herself there battling more powerful ships, thus decreasing the relative power level. Additionally, the arrival of Tier VIII ships in World of Warships: Legends will impact aircraft carriers’ stats – most of those on Tier VII and Tier V Premium Zuihō will be buffed with tweaks including increased planes’ HP, hangar and squadron sizes, and more.
Continue your Legendary journey and turn the tide!
