A Vampire Survivors animated show is in the works

Game developer Poncle is partnering with the incredible team at Story Kitchen to create a Vampire Survivors animated show. After becoming the highest-rated game on Steam in 2022 and beating out Elden Ring to win Best Game at the 2023 BAFTA Gaming Awards, Vampire Survivors is out to conquer the small screen.

Story Kitchen is a new media company founded by two huge names in Hollywood – John Wick creator and writer Derek Kolstad and co-producer of the Sonic movies Dmitri Johnson. The team is already working on various game-to-tv adaptations including Tomb Raider and Splinter Cell for Netflix, and It Takes Two for Amazon.

Poncle and Story Kitchen are also working alongside games consulting agency Robot Teddy. Director of Business Development at Robot Teddy Alessandro Bovenzi said, “Collaborating with Poncle on Vampire Survivors has been a coffin-load of fun. And now, with Story Kitchen on board, we’re thrilled to be adding even more depth to the world of the undead.”

Founder of Poncle Luca Galante added, “The most important thing in Vampire Survivors is the story, so it’s a dream come true to see what started as a little indie game I made on my weekends come to life as an animated TV show! It’s also great to be partnering up with such experienced and talented people to make the show.”

When is the Vampire Survivors animated show release date?

As Story Kitchen have only just announced the project, there is no official release date yet for the Vampire Survivors animated show. We’ll update this page as soon as we know when and where the show will come out.

That’s everything you need to know about the Vampire Survivors animated show. If you’re ready to get your fangs stuck in to one of the best games of 2022, check out our Vampire Survivors DLC and Vampire Survivors weapons and evolutions guides. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom preview breakdown

We’re absolutely champing at the bit for any information on the upcoming sequel to Breath of the Wild, as The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is now tantalisingly close. So close in fact, that several outlets recently played the title at Tears of the Kingdom previews, and are spilling a few key details in the process. So, we’re putting together several of these previews and going over some of the details you might miss.

Before we para-sail into the rest of this guide, we’ve got more great pieces of content than Hyrule has shrines, so be sure to check it all out. We’ve got articles covering Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom fusion, Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom enemies, Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom trailer breakdown, Zelda Tears of the Kingdom: Zonai, and much more.

Let’s take a closer look at everything revealed in the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom previews.

New Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom preview information

We’re busy pouring over every single second of new footage on Tears of the Kingdom and are picking several key new details we’ve spotted, that you otherwise might have missed. You can find them all below.

  • The Travel Medallion returns from Breath of the Wild’s DLC, and serves exactly the same purpose. This customisable fast travel warp point means Link can return to sky islands with ease
  • Link makes exciting new creations by using the Ultrahand ability and items known as Zonai parts. A fun new gacha-like sphere drops new parts when Link brings it a Zonai charge which the new enemy known as Zonai constructs drop when killed
  • Footage reveals that those blue vials at Link’s hip are to be charged for a battery meter, which powers your Zonai creations. We don’t know how to increase this battery charge yet, but footage reveals Link with different amounts, so he must gain more somehow
  • There’s a second map now with the addition of the sky map. This new addition helps Link chart the land high above Hyrule, and keep track of the many different sky islands. Though we’re not sure how we reveal the map just yet, or if it’s like the Shiekah Tower mechanic from the original Breath of the Wild
  • When Link picks up a weapon with a full inventory, you’re now given the option to drop a weapon immediately. In Breath of the Wild the game forces you to go back into your inventory before opening the chest again, so this is a huge timesaver
  • We now have a recipe book, so Link remembers meals he cooks, and presumably can cook them again if he has the ingredients. Another simple change that saves a lot of time
  • You can now throw any item, much like tossing weapons in Breath of the Wild. Alongside the elemental items such as the various chu chu jellies, this means Link can unleash an attack without wasting any weapons
  • The new Ascend feature not only allows Link to travel through solid objects from below and peer out into the world above, but it also freezes time. This means if Link uses ascend in a cave, but uncovers an enemy camp high up above, you can choose to quickly dip back down and save your skin
  • Link’s new abilities such as Fuse and Ultrahand are selectable with a radial dial, much like choosing weapons in Skyward Sword. This is much easier than the menu from Breath of the Wild, plus, footage reveals at least two additional slots for abilities, so there is more to discover in the full game

Alright, folks, that’s all we have on the Zelda Tears of the Kingdom previews for now. We hope you find this helpful, and if you’re just as excited as us to finally revisit the land of Hyrule, be sure to check out our Zelda Tears of the Kingdom pre-order guide next.

Who are the best Honkai Star Rail characters?

Here’s a little more information on the six characters who feature in the S-rank of our Honkai Star Rail tier list.

Honkai Star Rail tier list - Clara looking at a phone

Clara

We recommend you use Honkai Star Rail’s Clara in a sub-tank and physical damage dealer role. With some handy counterattacks to dish out extra damage between turns and her ultimate that taunts enemies, she’s an asset to many teams.

Honkai Star Rail tier list - Gepard looking down at his phone

Gepard

Honkai Star Rail’s Gepard is also a fantastic tank and sub-DPS character. His chilling ice attacks and ability to freeze enemies are super handy and his ultimate has a shield that protects him from harm.

Honkai Star Rail tier list - Jing Yuan looking at his phone

Jing Yuan

The number one husbando for the Pocket Tactics team, Honkai Star Rail’s Jing Yuan is the best choice for a DPS character in your team. He’s easily the strongest multi-target DPS we’ve tried.

Honkai Star Rail tier list - Luocha looking at his phone

Luocha

Not only is Honkai Star Rail’s Luocha very handsome, but he’s also our first pick for support. His healing scales with his attack, he can deal some pretty good damage, and remove any buffs from foes.

Honkai Star Rail tier list - Seele on her phone

Seele

Honkai Star Rail’s Seele is a fantastic DPS option who can deal loads of damage to a single target over a short period of time. We recommend you build her focusing on attack and crit.

That’s everything we’ve got for you in our Honkai Star Rail tier list. Make sure you check out our Honkai Impact characters and Honkai Star Rail banner guides for more mobile RPG goodness.

Best Nintendo Switch headsets in 2023 – top headphones and earphones

Having the best Nintendo Switch headset will help you to feel more deeply immersed in the worlds of your favorite video games. Nintendo games have always featured great soundtracks, from the ‘DK Rap’, to the absolutely amazing remixes in Cadence of Hyrule. A gaming headset means you can listen to them in high-quality audio, as well as when gaming on the go. In this guide, we’ll help you find the best Nintendo Switch headset for your needs and budget – whether that’s a subtle pair of wireless earbuds for traveling or a premium Switch headset that lasts all day.

We’ve picked out this selection of the best Nintendo Switch headsets, headphones, and earphones so that you can enjoy all the best Switch games even more. Not all gaming headsets are fully compatible with Nintendo Switch consoles (because the Switch can’t be used with microphones) but you still might want one with a microphone for playing Switch multiplayer games with your headset connected to a phone.

Many of the headsets in this list also work with the best portable gaming consoles. Calling on our hours of real-life gameplay experience, we’ve chosen a mixture of the best Nintendo Switch headsets, headphones, and earphones to help you choose the best headset.

These are the best Nintendo Switch headsets available now:

Best Nintendo Switch headset: Razer Barracuda.

1. Razer Barracuda

The best gaming headset for Switch is the Razer Barracuda.

Razer Barracuda specs:

Feature Details
Wired or Wireless? Wireless (Bluetooth)
Microphone Yes
Battery life 40 hours
Drivers 50mm
Type over-the-ear

Pros:

  • 40-hour battery life
  • Fantastic sound quality
  • Soft memory foam ear cushions

Cons:

  • Ear cups may be too narrow for some
  • Wired vs Bluetooth limitations

If you see a headset that was made by Razer, you know it’s going to be a good one. The Razer Barracuda is one of the best Nintendo Switch headsets for most people, and a great wireless gaming headset overall. Its Razer TriForce 40mm Drivers provide fantastic sound quality, while plush memory foam ear cushions will keep your ears as comfortable as possible while you game for longer periods.

Using a Bluetooth connection and something called a SmartSwitch, the Razer Barracuda actually lets you easily switch between audio sources with the press of a button. Finished on the Switch and now you want to settle down with one of the best mobile games instead? Press the button, and you’ll be getting audio from your gaming phone instead (although it does sometimes struggle to work as smoothly as it should).

The Razer Barracuda isn’t the cheapest headset for Nintendo Switch, but it’s reasonably priced for the performance and comfort you get. If you want a headset that you’ll use not just for your Switch, but for every other device in your home, then this is a strong option. It even has a microphone that you might like to use for communication with your friends in online play via the Nintendo Switch Online mobile app. If you can afford it, you won’t find many headsets as good as this one.

Best Nintendo Switch headset: HyperX Cloud II.

2. HyperX Cloud II

The best Switch headphones are the HyperX Cloud II.

HyperX Cloud II headphone specs:

Feature Detailed
Wired or Wireless? Wired
Microphone Yes
Drivers 53mm
Type over-the-ear

Pros:

  • Noise-canceling headphones give full immersion
  • Durable aluminium frame
  • 7.1 virtual surround sound

Cons:

  • May not be so good for docked play
  • Pricier than others
  • A bit on the large sound

HyperX are well known as a manufacturer of top-quality headphones, so you know you’re getting something good when you go for one of their models. The HyperX Cloud II was specifically designed with gaming in mind and comes with memory foam leatherette ear cushions in order to keep your ears as comfortable as possible during those extra-long gaming sessions (perhaps spent trying to hunt down that last Korok).

Though as comfortable as the ear cushions may be, it has to be said that the HyperX Cloud II is a little bit on the chunky (Kong) side. It’s a sturdy piece of work, with an aluminium frame that’s been built to last, but it has to be said that you’ll start to feel it on your head after you’ve been wearing it for a few hours. Plus, if you play your Switch docked a lot, as wired headphones, you might have some trouble, depending on how far from your TV your sofa is.

All in all though, if you want to curl up in your armchair and play your Switch in handheld mode, you’ll struggle to find a pair of headphones that will do the job as well as the HyperX Cloud II. These are noise-canceling headphones with 7.1 virtual surround sound, and when you’re in the zone, they’ll help you feel like you’re really out there in the worlds of your favorite games.

Best Nintendo Switch headset: HP Gaming Headset.

3. HP Gaming Headset

The cheapest headphones for Switch are the HP Gaming Headset.

HP Gaming Headset specs:

Feature Detailed
Wired or Wireless? Wired
Microphone Yes
Drivers 50mm
Type over-the-ear

Pros:

  • Affordable pricing
  • LED lighting options
  • Microphone for additional use

Cons:

  • Not so good at surround sound
  • Another big one
  • Awkward for docked play

Like HyperX, HP is another big name in the headphone world, or indeed, in the electronics world at large. Unlike HyperX, however, you can grab one of its headsets for a much more affordable price. Another set designed specifically for gamers, this will be a great choice for anybody who doesn’t want to fork out the huge amounts that some headphones will set you back.

The model comes along with a built-in microphone and LED lighting options (that’ll make it look pretty darn swish as you use it). Annoyingly, you can’t use the microphone on Nintendo Switch, and the lighting is mainly for PC use, so you might be unable to take advantage of these features. Still, it’s a cheaper option, and it’ll let you hear your Switch games just fine, so don’t be put off by things you may not use.

Just like the HyperX model above, these are wired headphones. On the one hand, this means that you don’t run the risk of having a tense, atmospheric gaming session interrupted by your headphones telling you that they’re about to run out of power, but on the other hand, it may make them awkward to use for docked play. If you preferred handheld play and don’t want to have to spend a huge amount of cash, these are the ones to go for.

Best Nintendo Switch headsets: Pikachu OLT earphones.

4. OTL Pikachu Earphones

The best Pokémon earphones are the OTL Pikachu earphones.

OTL Pikachu earphones specs:

Feature Detailed
Wired or Wireless? Wireless (Bluetooth)
Microphone No
Battery life 6 hours
Type in-ear

Pros:

  • Vibrant Pokémon design
  • Bluetooth connection with auto pairing
  • Cute charging case

Cons:

  • Sound quality may be lesser than headphones
  • Charging equipment not included
  • Bluetooth can drop

If you’ve got a Nintendo Switch, there’s a fairly reasonable chance that you’re a fan of Pokémon (and if not, you can get these exact same earphones with a Super Mario and Legend of Zelda aesthetic too). Earphones needn’t be a bland bit of hardware, they can be a colorful expression of your passions, and these OTL Pikachu earphones do that nicely.

Their charging case is just as cool as the earbuds themselves, featuring a picture of Pikachu on a yellow background along with the words “Pika! Gotta catch ‘em all”. It’s a delightful bit of gear that will not only help to enhance your gaming experience but might be a treasured part of your Nintendo collection at large as well.

As these connect via Bluetooth, you can easily have them on when you’re playing on the television without any trouble (unlike wired headphones). Annoyingly though, as they are wireless, you’ll have to keep them charged up, which is fine if you’ve got a spare USB charger laying around somewhere, but if not, that is going to add to your expenses somewhat.

Best Nintendo Switch headsets: Skullcandy Dime Earbuds.

5. Skullcandy Dime Earbuds

The best Nintendo Switch earphones are Skullcandy Dime Earbuds.

Skullcandy Dime Earbuds specs:

Feature Detailed
Wired or Wireless? Wireless (Bluetooth)
Microphone Yes
Battery life 8.5 hours
Type in-ear

Pros:

  • Reasonably priced
  • Available in different colors
  • Multiple earbuds included

Cons:

  • Charging equipment not included
  • Outperformed by fancy headphones
  • Bluetooth can drop

Maybe you want some Bluetooth earbuds to use with your Switch, but you don’t fancy going for a pair with colorful Nintendo characters on them. Maybe you’re tired of your boss saying “Azariah, take those Pokémon earbuds out, you’re an undertaker, it isn’t appropriate!” Whatever the reason, we understand that some people will just want subtle, sleek earbuds, like Skullcandy Dimes.

As much as they don’t feature Nintendo characters, they do still come in a variety of different colors, giving you an opportunity to find some earbuds that will most appropriately pair with your personal aesthetic. They’re pretty affordable too, so don’t worry, you’ll still have a bit of cash left over to put toward new Switch games.

As another pair of Bluetooth earbuds, it has all the strengths and weaknesses inherent to its kind. While they won’t give you quite the same sound quality as a top-notch headset, they will be much easier to use while your Switch is docked, and you don’t need to worry about wires getting tangled, or worn down over time.

How we chose the best Nintendo Switch Headset

When choosing the right headset, headphones, or earphones for your Nintendo Switch, there are several things that you should keep in mind. These were the criteria we used when narrowing down the options for this list:

  • Reliability: it has to be said, there are a lot of scummy headphone businesses out there selling cheap bits of rubbish that offer poor sound quality and will break within a few months (no disrespect to the owners of scummy headphone businesses), so we kept it to the well-respected brands
  • Pricing: if you go for a really fancy headset, you’ll probably end up paying more for it than you did for the Switch itself. Though we included a couple of somewhat premium options, we generally only really considered those that were reasonably priced
  • Wired vs Wireless: both have their benefits and when you’re using them with a Nintendo Switch in docked mode, you’re probably going to want one with a Bluetooth connection so that you can easily use it even when it’s on television – but if you’re an exclusively handheld player, wired might be the way to go, so we wanted to include options for both
  • Design: for something that you wear on your head and in your ears, you’ll want to be sure that it has been designed to provide comfort and support. We didn’t want to recommend anything that’ll make your neck or ears ache
  • Aesthetics: we know that for a lot of gamers, it’s important to find headphones that match their aesthetic or will look good in their gaming space. That’s why we picked out a selection of pretty options, too.

Today’s Coin Master free spins links April 2023

Wondering how to get Coin Master free spins? You’ve come to the right place. This is an addictive mobile game by design. It combines the thrill of playing slots with the social battling of Clash of Clans to create something that you just can’t put down; in a good way. The problem is, you so often have to put it down if you’re not willing to fork out the cash for regular spins. That’s understandable when as little as 30 spins will set you back £1.99 in the UK or $1.99 in the US.

In this Coin Master blog, we’re going to provide you with all of the ways you can get your hands on a few free spins and a Coin Master bonus here and there. This will allow you to continue playing long after your daily free spins run out, and provide you with the means of getting extra, without the need to spend your hard-earned money on premium spins in the game’s store. We’d also recommend checking out our Coin Master free cards and Coin Master free coins guides to get even more rewards, and our Pet Master free spins guide if you fancy checking out Moon Active’s latest game.

How can I get Coin Master free spins?

Here are a bunch of tips to help you get even more free spins in Coin Master.

Follow Coin Master on social media

Each day, Moon Active, Coin Master’s developer, provides a bunch of links that you can follow to get your hands on Coin Master free spins. If you keep on top of this, you can get a steady stream of free stuff for very little effort. You can follow Coin Master on Facebook or Twitter.

Want more? Check out CodesDb for a powerful, searchable database of the latest game codes.

Sign up for email gifts

If you sign up for email gifts, you can get yourself a handful of Coin Master free spins every single day just by following a link on your phone. We haven’t encountered any spam from signing up so far either, so it’s a quick and easy method of getting yourself some tasty free spins.

Invite friends

Each time you invite a friend who successfully joins Coin Master through Facebook, you’ll get 40 Coin Master free spins, which is considerable. They don’t even have to actually play the game; they simply have to download it and log in via their Facebook account to get you the free spins. Of course, it’s in both your interests to actually play it, which brings us nicely to our next point.

Request spins as gifts

You can get up to 100 Coin Master free spins per day from friends, though to get to those heights you’ll need 100 active friends who are kind enough to send you a gift each day. Each gift consists of a single free spin.

Unless you’re incredibly popular, it’s highly unlikely that you’ll have 100 friends; let alone 100 that will actually deign to play a game with you. We recommend heading on over to the official Reddit community or Facebook communities to try and find people willing to play with you.

Watch video ads

You can get a limited number of Coin Master free spins per day by watching a video ad. Simply scroll to the slot machine and tap on the spin energy button on the bottom right. If it’s not there, you’ve run out of free spins you can get through this method for the day, but if it is, simply tap on it and you’ll watch an ad.

Spin

Ironically, you can actually get a ton of Coin Master free spins by, well, spinning. If you get three spin energy symbols in a row, you’ll get a bunch of free spins. Pick up a chain of them and you can spin for ages before you run out.

Level up your village

Each time you level up your village, you’ll get a bunch of Coin Master free spins. It’s not easy though, as it costs a considerable amount of gold to purchase new buildings and improve them, and you have to purchase every single one of them, including improvements, to level up. That’s going to cost a lot of spins, as it is.

Looking for a new game? Take a look at our Free Fire redeem codes, My Singing Monsters breeding guide, or even our Pokédex!

Participate in events

There’s almost always at least one event happening in Coin Master, and it can absolutely shower you with free spins. While viewing the slot machine, look at the top right of the screen. Any virtual buttons that you can see beneath the menu (which is displayed as three lines) are an event. Tap on one and you’ll see what each event involves.

Take advantage of these events and you can get yourself a lot more Coin Master free spins than usual.

Wait

This is an obvious suggestion, but it’s actually worth taking into consideration. You get five free spins every single hour, and you can only hold a maximum of 50 spins at any one time. That means every ten hours you’ll hit the maximum number of spins, and any Coin Master free spins you would have earned after that will cease to exist.

So, we recommend setting a reminder to visit Coin Master every ten hours at least to spend your spins so you are always earning more. You’ll actually end up earning a huge number of extra spins if you’re dedicated, so it’s totally worth doing.

Bandai Namco’s takt op. Symphony waltzes onto mobile later this year

Bandai Namco’s latest offering is a mobile game marking the first collaboration with DeNA – takt op. Symphony. It brings together talented minds from the anime world such as illustrator LAM in a new experience for us to enjoy.

Takt op. Symphony launches on mobile platforms this year and is a free-to-play game. The official website is now live, which introduces us to the world. It’s set in the takt op universe, bringing in previous fan-favourite characters along with new friends to meet.

The classical music-themed game features strategic, turn-based battles intertwined in a bespoke new story building off the events of the popular anime series, Takt Op Destiny. Only the Musicarts – personified versions of famous classical music pieces, including the likes of Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake – can save the world from devious Despair Dolls.

A beta test is in the works for takt op. Symphony, and it’s available soon. You can keep up to date with it on the official Twitter so you don’t miss the signup period. No doubt the beta will include plenty of activities for us to dive into, and we’re excited.

There are some celebratory events going on on Twitter, too, with limited-time rewards to win. And of course, pre-registration is live and ensures some sweet in-game goodies upon release.
