Coin Master free spins (November 2022)

Wondering how to get Coin Master free spins? You’ve come to the right place. This is an addictive mobile game by design. It combines the thrill of playing slots with the social battling of Clash of Clans to create something that you just can’t put down; in a good way. The problem is, you so often have to put it down if you’re not willing to fork out the cash for regular spins. That’s understandable when as little as 30 spins will set you back £1.99 in the UK or $1.99 in the US.

In this Coin Master blog, we’re going to provide you with all of the ways you can get your hands on a few free spins and a Coin Master bonus here and there. This will allow you to continue playing long after your daily free spins run out, and provide you with the means of getting extra, without the need to spend your hard-earned money on premium spins in the game’s store. We’d also recommend checking out our Coin Master free cards and Coin Master free coins guides to get even more rewards, and our Pet Master free spins guide if you fancy checking out Moon Active’s latest game.

How can I get Coin Master free spins?

Here are a bunch of tips to help you get even more free spins in Coin Master.

Follow coin master on social media

Each day, Moon Active, Coin Master’s developer, provides a bunch of links that you can follow to get your hands on Coin Master free spins. If you keep on top of this, you can get a steady stream of free stuff for very little effort. You can follow Coin Master on Facebook or Twitter.

Want more? Check out CodesDb for a powerful, searchable database of the latest game codes.

Sign up for email gifts

If you sign up for email gifts, you can get yourself a handful of Coin Master free spins every single day just by following a link on your phone. We haven’t encountered any spam from signing up so far either, so it’s a quick and easy method of getting yourself some tasty free spins.

Invite friends

Each time you invite a friend who successfully joins Coin Master through Facebook, you’ll get 40 Coin Master free spins, which is considerable. They don’t even have to actually play the game; they simply have to download it and log in via their Facebook account to get you the free spins. Of course, it’s in both your interests to actually play it, which brings us nicely to our next point.

Request spins as gifts

You can get up to 100 Coin Master free spins per day from friends, though to get to those heights you’ll need 100 active friends who are kind enough to send you a gift each day. Each gift consists of a single free spin.

Unless you’re incredibly popular, it’s highly unlikely that you’ll have 100 friends; let alone 100 that will actually deign to play a game with you. We recommend heading on over to the official Reddit community or Facebook communities to try and find people willing to play with you.

Watch video ads

You can get a limited number of Coin Master free spins per day by watching a video ad. Simply scroll to the slot machine and tap on the spin energy button on the bottom right. If it’s not there, you’ve run out of free spins you can get through this method for the day, but if it is, simply tap on it and you’ll watch an ad.

Spin

Ironically, you can actually get a ton of Coin Master free spins by, well, spinning. If you get three spin energy symbols in a row, you’ll get a bunch of free spins. Pick up a chain of them and you can spin for ages before you run out.

Level up your village

Each time you level up your village, you’ll get a bunch of Coin Master free spins. It’s not easy though, as it costs a considerable amount of gold to purchase new buildings and improve them, and you have to purchase every single one of them, including improvements, to level up. That’s going to cost a lot of spins, as it is.

Looking for a new game? Take a look at our Free Fire redeem codes, My Singing Monsters breeding guide, or even our Pokédex!

Participate in events

There’s almost always at least one event happening in Coin Master, and it can absolutely shower you with free spins. While viewing the slot machine, look at the top right of the screen. Any virtual buttons that you can see beneath the menu (which is displayed as three lines) are an event. Tap on one and you’ll see what each event involves.

Take advantage of these events and you can get yourself a lot more Coin Master free spins than usual.

Wait

This is an obvious suggestion, but it’s actually worth taking into consideration. You get five free spins every single hour, and you can only hold a maximum of 50 spins at any one time. That means every ten hours you’ll hit the maximum number of spins, and any Coin Master free spins you would have earned after that will cease to exist.

So, we recommend setting a reminder to visit Coin Master every ten hours at least to spend your spins so you are always earning more. You’ll actually end up earning a huge number of extra spins if you’re dedicated, so it’s totally worth doing.

Resident Evil characters

After its initial launch in the 90s, Resident Evil has become an icon of the horror genre, a landmark for spooky games on consoles, and simply one of the most endearing entries in the genre. After a stellar remake for the Gamecube a few years later, the classic was even better, and now nobody has an excuse not to play this incredible game. If you’re dipping in, then you might want to get to know the Resident Evil characters first.

This guide covers the main players from the original Resident Evil title and its remake, but we’ll also delve into the primary characters from the many other titles over the years. Anybody recurring and important to the Umbrella story, we’ll pop them in here. It’s a big old series with a lot of characters, so do forgive us if we miss your fave, but we’ll be coming back to add more to this guide over time.

Let’s dive into our Resident Evil characters guide.

Resident Evil characters

Chris Redfield

Born in 1973, Chris Redfield is one of the two playable characters in the first Resident Evil game, and one of the most important characters in all of the events preceding it. Chris is a huge fella that uses his power and speed to get through. In Resident Evil (1996), Chris has to deal with more enemies, each of which is more powerful than in Jill’s playthrough. So while he may be tougher, the game balances this out with a rougher ride. Players also only unlock the flamethrower in Chris’ story path.

Chris originally worked for the Air Force before STARS (Special Tactics and Rescue Service) recruited him in Raccoon City. After the Spencer Mansion incident, Chris appears and is playable in Resident Evil: Code Veronica, Resident Evil; The Umbrella Chronicles, Resident Evil 5, Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles, Resident Evil 6, Resident Evil Revelations, Resident Evil 7 DLC, and Resident Evil Village.

If you want to know even more about this iconic character, make sure you check out our Resident Evil Chris guide.

Jill Valentine

Born in 1974, Jill Valentine is one of the two playable characters in the original Resident Evil and is one of the most important characters in the series. She was recruited to STARS by Albert Wesker in 1996, shortly before the Spencer mansion incident, and so has been at the heart of most bio-weapons and bio-terrorism events ever since. She’s smart, strong, and has repeatedly shown that she has a good heart and will go out of her way to protect people when she can.

Appearing over multiple titles, Jill Valentine is at the heart of everything going on. After Resident Evil (1996) and its remake, she appears as a playable character in Resident Evil 3 (and its remake), she pops up in Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles, and is playable in Resident Evil: Revelations as well. While not playable, she’s also an important part of Resident Evil 5. She hasn’t been seen canonically for some time, unlike Chris Redfield, so here’s hoping future titles finish her story.

To discover even more about this badass heroine, check out our Resident Evil Jill guide.

Albert Wesker

Born in 1960, Albert Wesker pops up in the original Resident Evil as a member of STARS, though it’s quickly apparent that there’s much more to him than it seems. Wesker has deep ties to the Umbrella Corporation and was picked up as a child to serve the company, being groomed as a child protege with the intention of serving Umbrella forever. He’s been behind the scenes of many different bio-weapon events ever since, and he even experiments with the effects of bio-weapons like the T-Virus on himself to give him superhuman powers and abilities.

While rarely playable outside of mercenaries mode, Albert Wesker still pops up more often than toast, making an appearance in Resident Evil (1996), Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, Resident Evil: Code Veronica, Resident Evil 0, Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil 5, and Resident Evil 6. He has also appeared in nearly all adaptations of Resident Evil to screen, recently being played by Lance Reddick for the Netflix show also called Resident Evil.

Find out more about this shady villain in our Resident Evil Wesker guide.

Barry Burton

Born in 1960, Barry Burton joined STARS in 1996. Previously serving in the Air Force, Barry has a wife called Kathy, and two daughters named Moira and Polly. Moira herself later pops up in Resident Evil Revelations 2. When Barry was working in STARS, he became good friends with Chris Redfield, eventually becoming a weapons expert, and finally moving onto another military operation known as the BSAA (Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance).

While not quite as prolific as some characters, Barry does turn up in a few other Resident Evil projects, namely Resident Evil 5, and as a playable character in Resident Evil Revelations 2. RER2 sees Barry searching for his daughter Moira who is kidnapped by a terrorist organisation, but upon arrival, teaming up with a young girl with mysterious psychic powers to track her down.

Brad Vickers

Born in 1963, Brad Vickers is one of the STARS members initially involved in the Spencer Mansion incident. There’s little information on his training or combat skills, but we do know he was a skilled pilot and a computer expert. Upon arriving at the mansion in search of missing STARS members, Vickers was quickly overwhelmed by the situation and took off in the helicopter, leaving the remaining members without their equipment.

Eventually, he composes himself, and after flying around the areas until daybreak, Vickers drops down a rocket launcher to help the STARS team in their battle with the superhuman zombie known as the Tyrant. Brad Vickers briefly turns up again in Resident Evil 3, but he doesn’t last very long…

Resident Evil characters: a screenshot shows several Stars members in the Spencer Mansion

Joseph Frost

One of the original STARS members at the Spencer Mansion incident, Joseph Frost was born in 1971, and was a bright and optimistic man who enjoyed danger. Upon arriving at the scene, Joseph is the person to discover the body of Kevin Dooley, the STARS pilot of the previous mission. Shortly afterwards, Frost runs off into the forest to try and find out more information, only to be attacked and viciously mutilated by a pack of zombie dogs known as the Cerberus. He doesn’t show up in any other resident Evil games.

Ok, folks, that’s all we have for now, but do come back for even more Resident Evil characters in the future. If you just can’t wait and want more great content now, be sure to check out our articles covering Resident Evil Ethan, and Resident Evil 2 characters next.

Neural Cloud tier list and reroll guide

Welcome to our Neural Cloud tier list, where we rank all the best units to summon, upgrade, and battle with in this fresh sci-fi strategy gacha card game. Dividing characters by class, along with early and end game content, this guide sets out to help you build up your ultimate team of butt-kicking waifus (and the occasional husbando). And, if you don’t get the gals you want, we’ve also included a Neural Cloud reroll guide for your convenience.

For some handy freebies to give you an extra boost in this fantastical waifu world, check out our Neural Cloud codes. Or, you can head over to our Sword Art Online VS tier list, AFK Arena tier list, or our guide to the best gacha games for even more gacha goodness.

Neural Cloud tier list

This data is based on both our personal experiences and community rankings from the English CBT, and only covers the characters’ talents in PvE content. We’ll add a PvP tier list or adjust the rankings for overall gameplay in the future.

A massive shoutout goes to this comprehensive spreadsheet created by members of the Neural Cloud Official Discord, which played a big part in our rankings, and offers great advice for team building under the ‘general info’ tab. Be sure to join the Discord for even more guides, handy tips, and game-related discussions.

We’ve split the tier list into roles, and each role has a unique early game and end game tier list. This is due to the fact that certain characters improve as you progress through the game, while others don’t have as many powerful upgrades and struggle against the harder content you face later in the game.

How do I perform a Neural Cloud reroll?

If you don’t get the characters you want the first time around, you can perform a Neural Cloud reroll. The reroll process takes around 20 minutes each time, so keep that in mind before making your decision.

Neural Cloud reroll steps

Begin by launching Neural Cloud. You can start by selecting ‘play as guest’, though this requires you to wipe your data or uninstall and reinstall the game each reroll.

Alternatively, we recommend signing up to a Sunborn account each time you want to reroll by entering your email with a plus sign and a number after it. For example, [email protected], [email protected], etc. This tricks the system into thinking that it’s a new email address each time, while still sending the verification code to your usual email address inbox.

Next, proceed to the following steps:

  • Play through the tutorial (around 15 minutes) and finish chapter 1-1
  • Go to your inbox and claim your rewards (including 20 free pulls), then redeem our Neural Cloud codes
  • Head to the gacha section and hit ‘Neural Search’ to start summoning

If you’re happy with your pulls, continue to play the game. If not, return to the title screen and switch to a new Sunborn account, then repeat the steps above.

That’s all we’ve got in our Neural Cloud tier list and reroll guide. We’ll update this page as new characters, balances, and units crop up. In the meantime, head over to our list of the best mobile MMORPGs or the best Switch RPGs to find your next adventure.

Portable gaming consoles are big business right now. In fact, it feels like we’re seeing some of the best portable gaming consoles in recent years. Better yet, we’ve got years of handheld gaming experience at our disposal to help you find the best one for your needs.

It’s not just big game companies getting in on the act, however. There’s GPD, Ayaneo, Playdate, and the OneXPlayer all vying for market share and gaining lots of popularity in recent years. And there’s also a bunch of the best gaming phones ever available, though we’re focused on larger, controller-having counterparts here. But how many get to be ranked among the best handheld gaming consoles you can buy today?

That’s where we’re here to help. Rather than endless Googling and scrolling through spec sheets and individual reviews, our on-the-go gaming expertise is on hand to offer up a clear and concise list of the best portable gaming consoles available now. And, if you’re looking for ideas on what to play once you’re in the portable realm, check out our best Switch games and best mobile games lists to make sure you’re ready for endless videogame fun.

Here are the best portable gaming consoles on the market:

One of the best portable gaming consoles, the Nintendo Switch OLED, in its dock with a hand reaching to pull it out. It has white controllers and a white dock.

1. Best portable gaming console

The best handheld gaming console is the Nintendo Switch OLED. Its RRP is set at $349.99 / £309.99, though you can often find it cheaper in bundles.

                    Nintendo Switch OLED specs
CPU/GPU NVIDIA Custom Tegra processor
Display 1280×720 7.0 inch OLED touchscreen
Battery 4310mAh lithium-ion battery
Memory 4 GB RAM
Storage 64 GB flash storage (expandable up to 2TB with microSD/SDHC/SDXC cards)

Pros

  • Excellent variety of first-party and indie games
  • Big, colourful screen
  • Works on the go and on the TV

Cons

  • Walled-garden OS
  • Limited power compared to handheld PCs

The Nintendo Switch OLED is undoubtedly the best portable gaming console on the market today. While it technically has a smaller library than the Steam Deck, current early issues mean that a lot of games don’t run quite right on Valve’s console.

The Nintendo Switch, however, has an exceptional library of first-party games from one of the best developers in history, Nintendo. Whether it’s The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Bayonetta 3, Xenoblade Chronicles 3, or all manner of exceptional indie titles, the Switch’s success has helped fill its library with plenty of excellent games to play.

The console itself has an excellent, bright, and colourful OLED screen, good ergonomics, and the built-in ability to play on your TV at no extra cost. It’s excellently versatile, packed with great games, and easily the best handheld gaming console out there. The only downside, really, is Joy-Con drift, but there are plenty of alternative Switch controllers to solve that issue.

Read our Nintendo Switch OLED review.

One of the best portable gaming consoles, the Steam Deck, a black, handheld device with a screen in the middle and controls either side.

2. Best handheld gaming PC

The best handheld gaming PC is the Steam Deck. It costs $399/ £349 for the 64GB HDD, $529 / £459 for the 256GB SSD, and $649 / £569 for the 512GB SSD models.

                Valve Steam Deck specs
CPU AMD Zen 2 4c/8t, 2.4-3.5GHz (up to 448 GFlops FP32)
GPU AMD RDNA 2 CUs, 1.0-1.6GHz (up to 1.6 TFlops FP32)
Display 7-inch 1280×800 60Hz IPS LCD (400 nits typical brightness)
Battery 40Whr battery (2-8 hours of gameplay)
Memory 16 GB LPDDR5 on-board RAM
Storage 64 GB eMMC / 256 GB NVMe SSD / 512 GB high-speed NVMe SSD

Pros

  • Massive library of games
  • Huge amounts of processing power
  • Good control scheme

Cons

  • Size – it’s very, very big
  • Not all games work (yet)

If you want as much freedom as possible, you probably disagree that the Nintendo Switch is the best portable gaming console, and that’s fair. The magic of Valve’s Steam Deck means that it’s very close to the best handheld gaming console in our eyes, and clearly the best portable gaming PC available at the moment.

With surprisingly good controls, huge amounts of freedom in the games you can choose from, and more than enough power for the majority of games out there, it is excellent. Downsides? Some games won’t work straight out of the box, and either require a little bit of tweaking on your end or the developer’s end.

With enough time, these issues could be fixed, and the Steam Deck could be the de facto leader in the handheld space (maybe if it’s a tad smaller, too – it’s a bit too big for our liking right now).

Read the Steam Deck review from our sister site PCGamesN.

One of the best portable gaming consoles, the Playdate. A small, square device in yellow, with a couple of buttons on the front, a black screen above, and a crank on the side.

3. Best handheld for unique indie games

The best handheld gaming console for unique indie games is the Playdate. It costs $179 (around £130), and it’s set to be available from early 2023 at the time of writing.

                                        Playdate specs
CPU 68MHz Cortex M7
Display 400×240 1-bit display
Battery 8 hours of active use
Memory 16MB
Storage 4 GB flash storage

Pros

  • Original, exclusive games
  • Inventive form factor
  • Brand new games on the way

Cons

  • Very limited library
  • Almost as expensive as a Switch Lite

In our Playdate review, we call it a “bright yellow embodiment of the joy of playing and indie gaming spirit.” There’s little else to sum it up than that, really. The Playdate is a tiny handheld with buttons on the face and a crank handle on the side.

This crank has led to many inventive gaming experiences, and the console makers drew in many great indie devs to contribute, like the minds behind Cursed to Golf, Chuhai Labs, Bennet Foddy of Getting Over It fame, or Return of the Obra Dinn creator Lucas Pope.

Sure, it’s an incredibly limited console, but with a roster of devs that good, it’s definitely worth a try. And look how cute and creative it is! To us, it’s one of the best handheld game consoles just for its inventiveness.

Read our Playdate review.

One of the best portable gaming consoles, the Ayaneo Air, a black, handheld device with a screen in the middle and controls either side.

4. Smallest handheld gaming PC

The best handheld gaming console with a small form factor is the Ayaneo Air. It starts between $569 (around £490) and can scale all the way up to $1249 (around £1100) depending on the configuration you go for.

                     Ayaneo Air specs
CPU AMD Ryzen 5 5560U / 7 5825U
GPU AMD Radeon RX Vega 6 / Vega 8
Display 5.5-inch 1920×1080 AMOLED touchscreen
Battery 28 Wh (7,350 mAh) / 38 Wh (10,050 mAh)
Memory 8 GB LPDDR4x-3200, 16 GB / 32 GB LPDDR4x-4266
Storage 128 GB-2 TB SSD

Pros

  • Small form factor
  • Attractive design

Cons

  • Overheating
  • OS issues

The Ayaneo Air is tiny. What’s more, it’s also surprisingly powerful given its form factor. It’s a console packed with features too, with hall effect joysticks (meaning no drift!) with RGB light rings under them, an OLED screen, and expandable storage. It’s one of the best handheld gaming consoles if you’re short on space.

There are some issues, however. With less power than others on the market, it can occasionally limit you. The Aya Space operating system could also do with a bit of polish, while if you turn the TDP up this little thing can get big hot.

These are the sacrifices you make, however, to have such a tiny and powerful portable gaming console. And, if you can stomach the price, this device doesn’t have any competition in the ultra-small handheld PC market.

Keep up to date with the Ayaneo 2 release date for all the latest on the company’s next handheld.

One of the best portable gaming consoles, the Analogue Pocket, two versions, one white, one black. It's a rectangular device with a screen on the top at the front and controls below.

5. Best portable retro gaming console

The best handheld gaming console for retro games is the Analogue Pocket. Expect to pay around $219 (around £190), though there are long waits for delivery.

                             Analogue Pocket specs
Circuit Field-programmable gate array
Display 3.5″ 1600×1440 LCD (615ppi)
Battery 4300mAh lithium-ion
Storage microSD card slot

Pros

  • Top-tier retro gaming
  • Gorgeous form factor
  • No emulation

Cons

  • Retro only
  • No ROM compatibility

The Analogue Pocket is the perfect version of the Game Boy, with a better screen, materials, and buttons, and a wider array of games to choose from. Whether it’s Game Boy, Game Boy Color, or Game Boy Advance, your Nintendo needs are covered.

It doesn’t stop there, though. If you have an adapter you can play Sega Game Gear, Neo Geo Pocket/Color, Atari Lynx, and TurboGrafx-16 games too.

All of this is without any emulation, which is exceptional. Downsides? It’s somewhat expensive, but I bet you it’s worth it to any diehard retro game player.

One of the best portable gaming consoles, the GPD Winmax 2, a laptop shaped device with controls above the keyboard for gaming.

6. Most versatile handheld gaming PC

The most versatile handheld gaming PC is the GPD Win Max 2. Expect to pay between $999 / £1,000 and $1,299 / £1,200 depending on the configuration.

                GPD Win Max 2 specs
CPU Intel Core i7-1260P / AMD Ryzen 7 6800U
GPU Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics / AMD Radeon 680M (integrated)
Display 10.1-inch 1920×1200 IPS touchscreen
Battery 67Wh lithium-polymer
Memory 16GB LPDDR5 5200 MT/s / 16GB/32GB LPDDR5-6400 MT/s
Storage  1TB/2TB NVMe SSD

Pros

  • Huge screen
  • Full keyboard

Cons

  • Less portable
  • Expensive

Oh no, that photo above isn’t wrong, friends. This is one of the best handheld gaming consoles, I promise, but it also doubles as a tiny little laptop. With a full keyboard below your standard gaming controller setup, the GPD Win Max 2 is a little odd at first, but looks can be deceiving – this thing is an excellent gaming machine.

Once you’re all done playing games though, what if you need to pause and write up a list of the best portable gaming consoles? Well, you can, as, with a lovely keyboard at your disposal, the GPD Win Max 2 is also great for on-the-go work-doing.

Downsides? The built-in controller is a little clunky due to positioning, though you may be surprised – it’s still comfier than it has any right to be. Oh, and it’s one of the most expensive devices on this list.

One of the best portable gaming consoles, the Nintendo Switch Lite, a grey, handheld device with a screen in the middle and controls either side.

7. Best portable gaming console under $200

The best handheld gaming console below $200 the Nintendo Switch Lite. Expect to pay $198 / £190 unless you find a good deal or bundle.

                Nintendo Switch Lite specs
Chip NVIDIA Custom Tegra processor
Display 5.5-inch 1,280×720 LCD touchscreen
Battery 3570mAh lithium-ion battery
Memory 4 GB RAM
Storage  32 GB flash storage (expandable up to 2TB with microSD/SDHC/SDXC cards)

Pros

  • Super portable
  • Great value
  • Large library of games

Cons

  • Small, low-res screen
  • Not playable on TV

For $200, the Nintendo Switch Lite is incredible value to anybody looking to get into portable gaming but not break the bank. With exactly the same library as its bigger brother, the Lite is great for bedtime games or if there are any kids in the house you don’t want breaking a half-a-grand Steam Deck.

It also comes in a great range of colours (blue, pink, yellow, grey, plus a bunch of special editions) and has decent buttons for such a little thing, making it one of the best handheld gaming consoles on a budget.

Downsides? The screen is small and a bit fuzzy compared to others on the market, and you can’t connect the Nintendo Switch Lite to the television. But still, for portable gaming on a budget, this is the way to go.

One of the best portable gaming consoles, the ONEXPlayer, a black, handheld device with a screen in the middle and controls either side.

8. Best Steam Deck alternative

The best Steam Deck alternative is the OneXPlayer. Expect to pay between $899 / £800 and $1,499 / £1,300 depending on your configuration.

                  OneXPlayer specs
CPU Intel Core i7-1195G7 / AMD Ryzen 6800U
GPU Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics / AMD Radeon 680M (integrated)
Display 8.4-inch 2560×1600 IPS, 358 PPI
Battery 59Wh
Memory 16GB DDR4-4266
Storage 512GB/1TB/2TB of SSD

Pros

  • High-resolution display
  • Nice ergonomics

Cons

  • Weaker integrated graphics
  • No expandable storage
  • Very expensive

Do you really hate Valve for some reason? Do you want to spend more money on a handheld PC? Do you really, really need an Intel CPU? Well, buddy, have I got the best handheld gaming console for you.

In all seriousness, if you want a more traditional control scheme and more ergonomic design overall, the OneXPlayer is a good Steam Deck alternative. While it isn’t as powerful on the GPU side, it’s incredibly close in terms of performance.

Still, it has some OS issues and isn’t the same polished product the Steam Deck is overall. If you need it, however, it’s there (for almost twice the price!).

Crunchyroll developing a physical Game Boy Colour game

Game Boy nostalgia seems at an all-time high recently, with premium devices like the Analogue Pocket, the Retroid Pocket, and the Miyoo Mini among many others helping gamers to play some of their old favourite portable titles in the modern day. Well, things just got even more retro, as Crunchyroll is developing a physical Game Boy Colour game.

Called Hime’s Quest, the GBC title sees Crunchyroll mascot Crunchyroll-Hime set out on an epic adventure through haunted forests, mirage-filled deserts, and much more. The title is faithful to the pixel-art style of original Game Boy Colour titles, and the physical version will of course be able to run on original hardware. So, when is the Hime’s Quest release date?

Crunchyroll has announced the release will be a collaboration with Limited Run, and pre-orders are set to open on November 18, 2022, and will close on December 23, 2022. The game is expected to ship in May 2023. Hime’s Quest comes on a bright orange cart that brings back the glory of the 90s coloured cartridges, and alongside the box is a poster featuring Crunchyroll-Hime as well. If you’re a huge Crunchyroll fan and a retro-obsessed collector, this great-looking game could be just for you.

Witcher3Map.com

The Witcher3Map.com interactive map is super simple to use. A clean user interface, stark colour choices, and quick loading times make it an easy first choice. You can also do the expected filtering by different categories, which is nice. There’s not much more to it, but clean and simple takes the cake for me.

MapGenie.io Witcher 3 map

The MapGenie.io Witcher 3 map is a little heftier than the previous one, but with it comes what some may think of as clutter. If you don’t care about the slightly overbig icons, then you’re in for a treat. All the basics are here and cleanly, then there’s the ability to mark locations as found and keep track of your adventure. Lovely stuff.

Many different Skyrim races the wide-spanning continent of Tamriel, each with their own unique history, traits, and proficiencies. From the arcane affinities of the Altmer, to the powerful combat capabilities of Nord warriors, each have their place in the game’s intricate world. As such, choosing the right class to fit your race of choice has a big impact on the tide of your tale.

So let’s take a look at each of the races, along with a brief overview of how they fit into Skyrim’s lore and what roles they are most adept at. Then, take a look at our list of the best Skyrim maps, so you can traverse Tamriel at ease, or our Skyrim houses guide, so you have somewhere to lay your head after a long day of being the Dragonborn.

Skyrim races

Skyrim races - a male and female high elf

Skyrim High Elf (Altmer)

Originating from their homeland of Summerset Isle, Altmer are High Elves and are the most gifted in the arcane arts of all the Skyrim races. They’re best suited to mage-based classes due to their magical affinities and ability to call upon their highborne power to regenerate magika quickly.

Skyrim races - a male and female Argonian

Skyrim Argonian

As reptilian humanoids, the Argonians have scaled skin, a natural resistance to disease, and the ability to breathe underwater, making them well-suited to their homeland in the treacherous swamps of Black Marsh. In addition, they have increased sneak and lockpick skills, making them a brilliant fit for the thief class.

Skyrim races - a male and female wood elf

Skyrim Wood Elf (Bosmer)

The elven people of Valenwood, Bosmers (more commonly known as wood elves), prefer a simple existence, living in harmony with the flora and fauna around them. They have the ability to command wild creatures, and are known to be the best archers in all of Tamriel. Their increased stealth and light footing makes them a great fit for scout or thief roles.

Skyrim races - a male and female Breton

Skyrim Breton

Descended from humans and elves, Bretons are talented mages who populate the province of High Rock. They’re generally very intelligent, are well known for their proficiency in abstract thinking, and have high resistance to magic.

Skyrim races - a male and female Dark Elf

Skyrim Dark Elf (Dunmer)

Dunmer are grey-skinned elven folk, often referred to as dark elves, who hail from Morrowind. Following the eruption of Red Mountain, many Dunmer fled to Skyrim, where they’ve since experienced extreme prejudice and racism. However, through their wits and strong resolve, many Dunmer have found a place in the northern parts of Tamriel, proving themselves to be skilled mages and merchants.

Skyrim races - a male and female Imperial

Skyrim Imperial

Well-educated, eloquent, and wealthy, the Imperials are natives of Cyrodil, and have dominated Tamriel for over two thousand years. They’re well known for their discipline and vast, well-trained citizen armies. They have a balanced skillset and, as such, are a versatile race well-suited for hybrid and custom classes.

Skyrim races - a male and female Khajiit

Skyrim Khajiit

A beast race like the Argonians, Khajiit have a feline-like appearance, often facing racism and a negative public image as a result. They’re the rarest race in Skyrim, and are usually only found in small caravans of their kin. Khajiits excel in stealth roles due to their special abilities and high sneak level, making them excellent archers, thieves, and assassins.

Skyrim races - a male and female Nord

Skyrim Nord

Known for their incredible resistance to cold and frost, the Nords are tall, fair-haired humans with pale skin. They originate from Atmora, but were led to Skyrim by Ysgramor. They specialise in one-handed and two-handed weapons, benefit from light armour, and their battle cry makes enemies flee for 30 seconds, making them a strong choice for melee combat roles such as warrior, barbarian, or scout.

Skyrim races - a male and female Orc

Skyrim Orc (Orsimer)

Native to the Wrothgarian and Dragontail mountains, Orsimer, more commonly known as orcs, are powerful fighters. There’s some contention over whether the Orsimer are a variant of elves, or another race of beastfolk like Khajiits and Argonians. Their skills and stats make them extremely strong warriors, best suited to heavy armour and tank or blademaster roles.

Skyrim races - a male and female Redgard

Skyrim Regard

The Redguards hail from the deserts of Hammerfell, and are the descendants of a long line of warriors and mystic seers. Excelling in the handling of sword and shield, they’re adept at defensive combat and have a natural resistance to poison. They also have a stronger grip on the magic arts than other warriors like Nords or Orsimer.

And that’s all of the Skyrim races. If you’re looking for someone to accompany you on your adventures, check out our Skyrim followers, Skyrim Serana, and Skyrim Lydia guides. Or, for a change of pace, head over to our complete Pokédex, featuring every ‘mon you can manage.

Harvestella crops, prices, and more

Though it has more JRPG DNA in its blood than anything, Harvestella crops are still an important part of gameplay – it wouldn’t have ‘harvest’ in the name, if not. Whether you sell ‘em, process ‘em, or stick ‘em in a stew, you’d be wise to get to grips with the variety of voluptuous veggies and fantastic fruits you can grow. So let’s take a look at all the different crops on offer, their sell prices, and more, while we also tackle the tough task of answering what Harvestella’s best crops are.

If you’re wondering what you can use all this perfect produce for, check out our Harvestella cooking and Harvestella crafting guides. Or, for a different kind of fieldwork, head over to our Harvestella jobs and Harvestella bomb recipe guides.

What are Harvestella crops?

As you may have guessed, Harvestella crops are plants and trees that you tend to on your farm. Each crop has set seasons in which it can grow, and several require special biomes in order to flourish. Most crops need watering every in-game day, and each of them take a specific amount of days to bear produce.

Some crops, like cucumbles, yield more than one item per harvest, and others stick around for a while, allowing you to harvest them multiple times. When Quietus comes around between seasons, all crops except trees, saplings, and shrubs die, and you start again with a fresh slate.

While the main game may focus more on the RPG features such as narrative and combat, farming is still an important part of Harvestella. Planting and harvesting crops not only nets you money when you ship them, but also allows you to produce animal feed, processed ingredients, and meals and drinks that offer stamina, health, and buffs. Becoming a savvy, well-equipped farmer takes some time and patience, but it’s certainly worthwhile.

Harvestella crops - the game introduction to farming mechanics

All Harvestella crops

Below, we list all the Harvestella crops we’ve come across in each location so far, along with their seed/sapling/shrub price, what seasons they grow in, and how much money they sell for. The sell prices are for one standard piece of produce from each crop. We’re still investigating the high-quality produce sell prices at the moment, but we’ll update this guide when we know more. For growth times, check the in-game description of the seeds or saplings.

You may notice that certain crops are listed in more than one location, with different seed costs attributed to them. That’s because these seeds appear in both the locations’ general good stores at different prices. So, if you want to buy some seeds as opposed to picking them up from dungeons or quest rewards, be sure to check that you’re going to the store selling them for the lowest price.

All information here is gathered from my personal playtime in the game, and backed up by the research of the extremely helpful and dedicated community over at r/Harvestella. A big shoutout goes to this post by u/Odeus1019, and this comprehensive spreadsheet by u/iArkeus, both of which helped me solidify my data.

A player watering their Harvestella crops

Harvestella best crops

Working out which is the best Harvestella crop is subjective based on what you’re looking for, and how much you want to invest into farming. If you’re after pure profit, there are a few things to take into consideration. Naturally, some crops sell for more grilla than others, but they can also take many days to grow or, in the case of tree saplings, take up more room on your farm.

Through scouring Reddit and playing the game myself, I’ve found that, so far, these are some of the most profitable crop hustles per season. There are likely plenty of others, so hit us up on the official Pocket Tactics Twitter if you know any gooduns!

Spring

  • Wheat and dress lettuce – seeds for these are cheap and readily available, and turn a great profit when turned into picnic sandwiches, making them great early-game crops. However, to cook the sandwiches you need the kitchen counter, and each sandwich takes valuable in-game time to make
  • Cucumbles – the best of the spring crops by a large margin, especially if you manage to find or earn seeds as opposed to buying them. The plant takes four days to initially grow, the three days between each harvest. This means you get a total of six cucumbles per plant, selling at 200 grilla each – over time, that’s 1,200 grilla per plant

Summer

  • Islet watermelon – as much as its long growth time (12 days!) and water biome requirement is a bit of a turn-off initially, islet watermelons offer a massive profit. Even if you buy the seeds at 2,500 grilla, you still earn over 1k in profit a piece, so you should cherish any watermelon seeds that you snag for free
  • Moroccorn – with a short, four-day growth time, morrocorn has a quicker turnover rate and, if you can purchase the seeds from Shatolla as opposed to Lethe, doubles the money you invest into them (200 grilla seed, 400 grilla per crop)
  • Seatide garlic – though it has a six-day growth time, seatide garlic nets you a profit of 350 grilla if you buy the seeds, or 1k grilla straight in the pocket if you find the seeds for free

Fall

  • Lantern pumpkin – like in Disney Dreamlight Valley, pumpkins are king in Harvestella’s fall. If you purchase a seed for 1,800 grilla, you get a whopping 1950 grilla profit in 11 days’ time, or 3,750 grilla if you find a free seed while out and about
  • Moroccorn – just as handy in fall as it is summer (see above)

Winter

  • Chilly plant – crop options are pretty limited in winter, and I’ve not fully explored them yet. However, you can buy a chilly plant seed for 800 grilla, and turn a 500 grilla profit after seven days by selling it for 1,300 grilla

That’s all we’ve got on the Harvestella crops so far, but we’ll be sure to update this guide as we crunch more numbers and sell more produce. Next stop, investigating juice and cooking vs raw produce profits! In the meantime, be sure to check out our Harvestella romance guide to see who you can woo with your extensive knowledge of crop rotations.
