Where to pre-order Fire Emblem Engage

During the Nintendo Direct September 2022, Nintendo confirmed that a brand new entry in its long-running strategy franchise is incoming, in the form of Fire Emblem Engage. With an energetic and colourful new visual style, as well as a different style of battle that pays homage to the many games in this legacy series, we already can’t wait for the Fire Emblem Engage release date.

Of course, you can’t play the game if you don’t buy it, and that’s where our Fire Emblem Engage pre-order guide comes in. We’ve scoured the internet to find you the best deals, including the majestic divine edition and all its juicy goodies. Players can explore the region of Elyos and summon the power of previous heroes in this thrilling new entry to the strategy franchise.

We’ll keep our eyes out for any deals and pre-order bonuses that become available, but if you see anything we haven’t listed, be sure to get in touch with us over at the Pocket Tactics Facebook page, and we’ll update the guide ASAP. While we wait though, you can tide yourself over by reading our Fire Emblem: Three Hopes review to see why this action-orientated entry is still worth your time.

Let’s dive into our Fire Emblem Engage pre-order guide.

What is included in the Fire Emblem Engage: Divine Edition?

Fire Emblem Engage pre-order: a product listing for the Fire Emblem Engage Divine Edition shows the game and the pre-order bonuses, including art cards, an artbook, a steelbook, and an A1 poster

The Fire Emblem Engage: Divine Edition includes a copy of the game, a steelbook, art cards, an A1 poster featuring key art of the protagonists, and a deluxe Fire Emblem Engage artbook.

What to play ahead of Fire Emblem Engage?

The Fire Emblem games do not operate as sequels, with each taking place in its own universe and with its own cast of characters. You can pick up almost any of the recent Fire Emblem games to get an idea of Fire Emblem Engage, but we would recommend the most recent entries, either Fire Emblem Three Houses for the Nintendo Switch, Fire Emblem Awakening for the 3DS, or Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia for the Nintendo 3DS.

If you have played and enjoyed Fire Emblem Three Houses, don’t forget it actually has a sequel, in the form of the Koei Tecmo-developed Fire Emblem Three Hopes. This entry is a Musou-inspired game focusing on action, and follows the events of Three Houses in an alternative universe, showing many different aspects of the original story.

Ok gamers, hopefully, this helps you snag a bargain and ready yourself for the coming conflict. We’ll see you on the battlefield. However, if you need something to play today, be sure to check out our guide to the best Switch strategy games next.

Pokémon Go Umbreon guide – how to evolve, counter, and use

Years before Pokémon Go, all the way back in Pokémon Gold and Silver, it was pretty hype to see the series change so much from Red and Blue, and the addition of ‘cool’ sounding types like dark and steel made me feel cool too, despite being 12. Game Freak also took the smart move of using an existing Pokémon and giving them a fantastic dark-type evolution, showing that this game isn’t for kids anymore.

Obviously, it was still a kid’s game, but I can’t tell you how enamoured I was after staying up late and evolving a faithful Eevee into the new, mysterious, and awesome Umbreon. The dark-type creature looks incredible, and the fact you had to evolve it at night only made it cooler. Well, if you want to add the best Eeveelution (backed up by our article entirely on how awesome Umbreon is) to your team, our Pokémon Go Umbreon guide is here to help.

We think you’ll love this guide, but when you’re done, be sure to check back on our many other articles covering Pokémon Go, including our fairy Pokémon guide, dragon Pokémon guide, flying Pokémon guide, and our Pokémon Go Genesect guide.

Let’s dive into our Pokemon Go Umbreon guide.

Pokémon Go Umbreon

Pokemon Go Umbreon: Key art shows the dark Pokemon Umbreon

What is Pokémon Go Umbreon?

Number 197 in the Pokedex, Umbreon is one of the many different evolutions of Eevee, and it originates from the Johto region in Pokémon Gold and Silver on the Gameboy. One of the very first dark Pokémon introduced, this new type helped to balance out the powerful psychic type. Known as the moonlight Pokémon, the cat-like Umbreon can only evolve from Eevee at night when exposed to moonlight, and when it trusts the trainer enough through friendship.

How do I evolve Eevee into Pokémon Go Umbreon?

There are two ways to evolve an Eevee into Umbreon, but one of them only works once. First, like all other Eevee evolutions, there’s a specific name you can call the Pokémon to choose to turn it into one of the many evolutions. For Umbreon, that name is Tamao, and once you evolve an Eevee this way, you have to use the second method for any subsequent evolutions.

The second way to evolve an Eevee into an Umbreon is to make the Eevee your buddy and then walk at least 10km, earning two candies for your effort. Then you get the chance to evolve Eevee, but to nab yourself an Umbreon you must evolve the Pokémon at night.

Quick move

  • Feint attack (dark)
  • Snarl (dark)

Charged move

  • Dark pulse (dark)
  • Foul play (dark)
  • Last resort (normal)
  • Psychic (psychic)

How do I use Pokémon Go Umbreon?

While it can be tempting to run an Umbreon with psychic for your charged move, you miss out on STAB damage, so outside of a few specific instances, it’s best to have your Umbreon use snarl and foul play, and treat it as a nuisance for ghost Pokémon and psychic Pokémon alike. Below is a list of Pokémon that Umbreon is effective against.

  • Gengar
  • Dusknoir
  • Slowking (galarian)
  • Victini
  • Hoopa (confined)
  • Lunala
  • Marowak (alolan)
  • Metagross
  • Jirachi

How do I counter Pokémon Go Umbreon?

As a pure dark-type, sadly there are quite a lot of good counters to Umbreon, especially from bug Pokémon and fighting Pokémon. Below is a list of Pokémon that are effective counters to Umbreon.

  • Lucario
  • Conkeldurr
  • Terrakion
  • Pheromosa
  • Volcarona
  • Blaziken

Coin Master free spins 2022 – today’s new links

Wondering how to get Coin Master free spins? You’ve come to the right place. This is an addictive mobile game by design. It combines the thrill of playing slots with the social battling of Clash of Clans to create something that you just can’t put down; in a good way. The problem is, you so often have to put it down if you’re not willing to fork out the cash for regular spins. That’s understandable when as little as 30 spins will set you back £1.99 in the UK or $1.99 in the US.

Fortunately for you though, there are a wide number of means of getting Coin Master free spins, reducing the need for you to spend and increasing the speed at which you can progress throughout this addictive experience. Many of them are easy to pull off too, so you don’t have to worry about going through complicated maneuvres to carry on playing your favourite game.

In this Coin Master blog, we’re going to provide you with all of the ways you can get your hands on a few free spins and a Coin Master bonus here and there. This will allow you to continue playing long after your daily free spins run out, and provide you with the means of getting extra, without the need to spend your hard-earned money on premium spins in the game’s store. We’d also recommend checking out our Coin Master free cards and Coin Master free coins guides to get even more rewards, and our Pet Master free spins guide if you fancy checking out Moon Active’s latest game.

How can I get Coin Master free spins?

Here are a bunch of tips to help you get even more free spins in Coin Master.

Follow coin master on social media

Each day, Moon Active, Coin Master’s developer, provides a bunch of links that you can follow to get your hands on Coin Master free spins. If you keep on top of this, you can get a steady stream of free stuff for very little effort. You can follow Coin Master on Facebook or Twitter.

Sign up for email gifts

If you sign up for email gifts, you can get yourself a handful of Coin Master free spins every single day just by following a link on your phone. We haven’t encountered any spam from signing up so far either, so it’s a quick and easy method of getting yourself some tasty free spins.

Invite friends

Each time you invite a friend who successfully joins Coin Master through Facebook, you’ll get 40 Coin Master free spins, which is considerable. They don’t even have to actually play the game; they simply have to download it and log in via their Facebook account to get you the free spins. Of course, it’s in both your interests to actually play it, which brings us nicely to our next point.

Request spins as gifts

You can get up to 100 Coin Master free spins per day from friends, though to get to those heights you’ll need 100 active friends who are kind enough to send you a gift each day. Each gift consists of a single free spin.

Unless you’re incredibly popular, it’s highly unlikely that you’ll have 100 friends; let alone 100 that will actually deign to play a game with you. We recommend heading on over to the official Reddit community or Facebook communities to try and find people willing to play with you.

Watch video ads

You can get a limited number of Coin Master free spins per day by watching a video ad. Simply scroll to the slot machine and tap on the spin energy button on the bottom right. If it’s not there, you’ve run out of free spins you can get through this method for the day, but if it is, simply tap on it and you’ll watch an ad.

Spin

Ironically, you can actually get a ton of Coin Master free spins by, well, spinning. If you get three spin energy symbols in a row, you’ll get a bunch of free spins. Pick up a chain of them and you can spin for ages before you run out.

Level up your village

Each time you level up your village, you’ll get a bunch of Coin Master free spins. It’s not easy though, as it costs a considerable amount of gold to purchase new buildings and improve them, and you have to purchase every single one of them, including improvements, to level up. That’s going to cost a lot of spins, as it is.

Looking for a new game? Take a look at our Free Fire redeem codes or Anime Adventures codes!

Participate in events

There’s almost always at least one event happening in Coin Master, and it can absolutely shower you with free spins. While viewing the slot machine, look at the top right of the screen. Any virtual buttons that you can see beneath the menu (which is displayed as three lines) are an event. Tap on one and you’ll see what each event involves.

Take advantage of these events and you can get yourself a lot more Coin Master free spins than usual.

Wait

This is an obvious suggestion, but it’s actually worth taking into consideration. You get five free spins every single hour, and you can only hold a maximum of 50 spins at any one time. That means every ten hours you’ll hit the maximum number of spins, and any Coin Master free spins you would have earned after that will cease to exist.

So, we recommend setting a reminder to visit Coin Master every ten hours at least to spend your spins so you are always earning more. You’ll actually end up earning a huge number of extra spins if you’re dedicated, so it’s totally worth doing.

Coin Master free spin FAQ

Now, we’ll answer a bunch of questions you may have regarding getting Coin Master free spins.

Do Coin Master free spins links expire?

Yes, the daily links that we include at the top of this page expire after three days, which is why we only include those from today and the two days prior.

Can I get 50 Coin Master free spins?

Coin Master 50 spin rewards most commonly appear during in-game events, like those that reward you for raiding or battling other players. There’s also a small chance to get this number from daily links, so bookmark this page and check back often.

Can I get 60 Coin Master free spins?

Yes, though it doesn’t appear to happen often from daily links. We’d recommend playing often and participating in events, and following the social media channels to find out what’s happening soon.

Can I get 70 Coin Master free spins?

We’ve never seen a Coin Master 70 spin reward appear as part of the daily links, but it has been known to appear as part of special events.

To get your hands on this rare reward, we would recommend playing on a daily basis and following the social media channels to get an indication of when the next big event will take place.

Can I get 100 Coin Master free spins?

Yes, though not from the daily links. We’ve seen this number of free spins appear often during in-game events, most notably for those that reward you for raiding and participating in PvP battles.

Play often and follow the social media channels for events to keep an eye out for this.

Can I get 50,000 Coin Master free spins?

Again, 50,000 Coin Master spin rewards don’t seem to appear as part of the daily rewards cycle, but have been known to crop up during events. Follow the socials and play regularly to get the best chance at this reward.

Garena’s Free Fire is so much more than a battle royale

Popular mobile survival shooter, Free Fire, is elevating the gameplay experience for players through its map editor mode, Craftland. This colourful mode that was first introduced in 2021 offers players free rein in creating their own maps to battle with friends, as well as share their creativity with a global community of players.

While Free Fire is famed for its fast-paced gameplay based on survival elements, the game has evolved to become so much more than that since its launch in 2017. Free to play, and available on both Android and iOS, its player base has grown bigger and more passionate, with fans now accustomed to anticipating high-quality content and immersive experiences.

From in-game musical performances to collaborations with global icons, Free Fire has consistently delivered new and unique experiences, and the heart of the game remains one of self-expression. We’ll be taking a look at the ways Free Fire players can express their own style in the game, as well as exploring a couple of key features which Craftland offers.

With more than 40 characters to choose from, Free Fire opens up every second of gameplay to the creative spirit. You won’t find any bland warrior archetypes here – the characters of Free Fire are each brimming with personality, and bring their own special skills to the table. The roster includes a storm chaser, a falconer, several musicians, a police officer, a physicist, and even a competitive speed eater. Whatever your playstyle – and even if battle royales haven’t seemed appealing before – you’re bound to click with one of these fun yet relatable, larger-than-life personalities.

Once you’ve got your character sorted, you can even team up with an adorable pet. These friendly creatures each bring a specific skill, so whether you choose the axolotl, duckling, panda, penguin, or any of the others, you’ll have a powerful pal for backup.

Fashion Forward

Each of the characters already has their own distinct style, but fashion-conscious players can collect new skins and bundles that are regularly introduced to the game to level up their aesthetic. Free Fire also has frequent events and season passes which launch new wearable items. Earlier this year, the Squad BEATz event celebrated style and music as players were treated to a vibrant array of in-game costumes and even the debut of an exclusive song performed by Free Fire characters Alvaro, Notora, Shirou, and Kapella.

Crossovers

Free Fire has a history of creative crossovers, bringing other universes into its lore with special events and items. Money Heist, BTS, Assassin’s Creed, and most recently global superstar Justin Bieber have all been included in these events, allowing fans to customise their look with exclusive items and participate in time-limited modes and a myriad of activities.

Alongside these crossovers, Free Fire also offers fans regular servings of its own lore, with a deeper narrative that slowly unfolds through films, events, and creatively produced videos. In fact, the first animated video was released this year, on April 23, exploring some of the story behind the fan-favourite character, Hayato. As teased by the developer, players can also look forward to upcoming additions to its lore over time.  Free Fire’s first look at its lore through an animated film - How To Start A Fire

Craftland Creativity

The release of Craftland is the icing on the cake for many Free Fire fans, as it opens up a whole new gameplay experience. Designed intuitively for play and creation, it provides players the opportunity to discover preferred playstyles and game modes, either playing solo or with friends.

With Craftland, you’ll decide which game mode works best for your map – be it a traditional battle royale, a race, or a high-stakes deathmatch. Additional options such as game speed, number of rounds, prep time, and respawns can be tweaked – you can even edit the Danger Zone.

Once these details have been decided, it’s time to get crafty, building your map and adding weapons and equipment for incoming players. As long as you have a spawn point, you can pretty much build your map however you like, using various elements to define your ideal environment. The main building blocks of each map are made up of barriers, triggers, and interactives – some of which include notable objects such as enormous pipes and billboards featured in the community-made MarioRun map.

Free Fire fans have already flexed their creative muscles and developed a series of musical-themed maps, using piano keys and bass drums as triggers. Others have stuck to a more conventional route, while some have created entirely conflict-free zones, where players can challenge each other with parkour or speedruns.

Express Yourself

Craftland maps won’t just be limited to a small group of friends either as they can be shared with the community. Players will have the option to dive straight into other recommended player-created maps and try out the growing community offerings that stretch Free Fire to its creative limits. As Free Fire Craftland’s arsenal grows, players can look forward to an ever-expanding virtual canvas where play, creation, and social elements will all come together.
One of the key reasons players come back to Free Fire over and over is the sheer creative freedom and varied gameplay it offers. Between seasonal events, exclusive collaborations, in-game musical performances, new challenges, a variety of game modes, and an ever-growing list of customisable options, Free Fire is so much more than a battle royale. Try it for yourself on Android and iOS today.

Honkai Star Rail release date speculation and beta

Attention all Honkai Impact 3rd players, or Hoyoverse fans in general, a new game is on the way. Honkai Star Rail’s release date might be unknown as of now, but the title serves as a sequel to Honkai Impact. As such, it’s safe to assume that it’s a JRPG, making it the third major title by Hoyoverse, behind its predecessor and Genshin Impact.

Given that Hoyoverse has just confirmed the game, it’s safe to say that the Honkai Star Rail release date is some time away. However, that doesn’t mean we can’t look at the Honkai Star Rail beta to find out further information. Hoyoverse officially unveiled the game as part of the Starfire Sonorant concert, which took place as part of the 3rd-anniversary celebration for Honkai Impact 3rd.

Honkai Star Rail has turn-based combat and will likely feature an open-world, an expansive one at that if Honkai Impact 3rd and Genshin Impact are anything to go by. The latter of which continues to grow, with new areas and characters becoming available as part of fresh Genshin Impact updates. To learn more, we recommend you check out our Honkai Star Rail characters guide when you’re done here.

Honkai Star Rail’s release date speculation

The short answer is that we don’t know the release date yet, though we do hope to see it towards the end of this year. In the September TGS Hoyoverse Special program, we were treated to plenty of gameplay footage, as well as a hint of a new Honkai Star Rail character. You can check out the fresh trailer below.

When is the Honkai Star Rail beta?

The first closed Honkai Star Rail beta was available to iPhone users only, but a second closed beta was held back in May 2022 for multiple platforms. Unfortunately, the betas have now closed, but you can bookmark this page, follow the official Honkai Star Rail Twitter, and sign up for email notifications on the official Honkai Star Rail website to be notified when any new info comes out.

Call of Duty Warzone Mobile game pre-registration spawns in

During the September 2022 Call of Duty Next event, we were treated to the news that Call of Duty Warzone Mobile pre-registration is finally open for Google Play, with Chris Plumber pointing towards a 2023 release window. That means it’s just a short time until the gun games can begin in a legitimate Call of Duty mobile title, anytime, any place – something some of you have been waiting a lifetime for.

So, with the Call of Duty Warzone Mobile pre-registrations now open, you can get ready to face the fury of Warzone’s massive online battles in the palms of your hands. Before revealing the start of sign-up, Chris Plummer was happy to share that the game will be playable with up to 120 players in the same map, pointing out that this number will be almost entirely bot free. As @NoisyButters said, this is big deal.

With Boneyard and TV Station returning you to some classic Call of Duty Warzone maps, Warzone Mobile is also bringing the visual hallmarks of the console series to its handheld hero simulator. There’s plenty of shiny new things too though, with progression now linked between multiple CoD games, and in-game exclusive events planned for the near future.

Where can I pre-register for Call of Duty Warzone Mobile?

You can hit this link to find your way over to the Call of Duty Warzone Mobile pre-register page. As stated on the official Call of Duty Twitter, pre-registering can also net you a multitude of exciting in-game rewards, so you’d better hop to it.  You can currently only pre-register on Google Play, but we’ll be sure to update this page if we see anything crop up on the App Store.
