It’s still hard to believe Streets of Rage 4 is a thing – but yeah, it’s happening. It’s even better knowing a Limited Run Games physical release is also on the way. While we’ve been aware of this since the start of the year, the physical games specialist has now officially revealed what this hard-copy “Classic Edition” of the game will look like and what exactly it includes. If you don’t want that, you always opt with the standard edition.
In the Classic Edition, you’ll get the game, game case, a SteelBook case, and a large Genesis clamshell that houses all of it (how fitting). “Open pre-orders” on the Limited Run Games website will start at 10am ET on 20th March.
Limited Run also noted some slight differences between the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 edition:
The Classic Edition will be available on PS4 and Switch, both will have the same Genesis clamshell coversheet, but Switch will include an additional slipcover with Switch platform branding.
