
@adam9431 You can’t go wrong with Metal Slug, I still hear people saying the first game is still the best. Samurai Shodown could be another one, though Samurai Shodown II and IV are considered the better ones. I like the presentation of the first game, with pre-fight dialogue spoken (word balloon, actually) by your next opponent, the bonus rounds that only existed in the first game, and the slightly slower, more deliberate, gameplay as compared to the rest of the series. Samurai Shodown is the first game the Ex-Capcom staffers made when they joined SNK, btw, so I see a lot of passion and freedom expressed there. Super Sidekicks, maybe. But I think 3 is the best of the series. (That was before they added the super broken “super” meter)
