The GameCube controller is still considered by many diehard Super Smash Bros. fans as the best way to play the game. Since debuting alongside Super Smash Bros. Melee, Nintendo has been able to make it compatible with Brawl for Wii, and also the Wii U entry in the series.
Now, Nintendo’s latest Direct presentation has confirmed the controller will also be compatible with Super Smash Bros. Ultimate on the Switch. This isn’t all that surprising considering how much fans still love this particular controller, and when considering the fact that not long ago the controller was made compatible with the Switch via the Wii U adapter. This allowed it to be used with games like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and lead many to speculate it would also be made compatible with the upcoming iteration of Smash.
Are you happy to hear the GameCube controller is compatible with the latest entry in the Smash series? Is this controller the one you prefer to use? Let us know in the comments.
