Scream 5 Wraps Production, Very Familiar Title Confirmed
<p>Director Wes Craven and writer Kevin Williamson's <a href="https://www.gamespot.com/gallery/scream-9-things-you-didnt-know-about-the-90s-horror-classic/2900-3429/">Scream</a> was one of the biggest horror movies of the 1990s, and it spawned 3 sequels. After a decade away, the series is set to return in 2022. Production on <a href="https://www.gamespot.com/gallery/scream-5-everything-we-know-about-the-upcoming-hor/2900-3580/">the fifth movie</a> has now wrapped and the title has been confirmed.</p><p>While the first three sequels were given<a href="https://www.gamespot.com/gallery/scream-2-9-things-you-didnt-know-about-the-classic/2900-3438/"> simple numerical titles</a>, this latest movie will once again be named Scream. While this does seem a bit confusing, given the movie is a sequel with many of the original cast returning, it follows the pattern set by 2018's hugely popular sequel/reboot <a href="https://www.gamespot.com/articles/halloween-2018-movie-review-michael-is-back/1100-6461649/">Halloween</a>, as well as the upcoming <a href="https://www.gamespot.com/articles/candyman-reboots-new-trailer-mixes-social-commenta/1100-6479082/">Candyman</a>.</p><p>The news was confirmed on twitter by Williamson, where he paid tribute to Craven, who died in 2015.
