PlatinumGames Has “Several Big Announcements” To Share In Early 2020

<p>Waiting for more news on the highly-anticipated <strong><a href="http://www.nintendolife.com/games/nintendo-switch/bayonetta_3">Bayonetta 3</a></strong> has become a bit torturous now, but we got a ray of sunlight in December last year when Hideki Kamiya <a href="http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2019/12/hideki_kamiya_says_bayonetta_3_development_is_going_really_well">revealed that development is “going really well”</a>. That’s reassuring, but we need to see new footage pronto; since it got announced during The Game Awards 2017, there has been little tangible news on the game, although we’ll forgive PlatinumGames as it did bring us the rather lovely <strong><a href="http://www.nintendolife.com/games/nintendo-switch/astral_chain">Astral Chain</a></strong>.</p>
<p>Hopefully, more news could be on the way very soon indeed. In a chat with <a class="external" href="https://www.inside-games.jp/article/2020/01/01/126636.html">Inside Games</a> (translated by <a class="external" href="https://www.siliconera.com/platinumgames-expects-numerous-big-and-small-announcements-in-2020-starting-early-in-the-year/">Siliconera</a>), PlatinumGames president Kenichi Sato has mentioned “several big announcements” for early 2020, which will surely include <em>somethin</em><em>g</em> on the upcoming sequel:</p>

<p>“Last year, we said that 2019 would be a year where the curtain rises for a new stage for PlatinumGames. We’re a bit late on that, but I believe we’ll have several big announcements to deliver early in the new year, so please look forward to that.”</p>
