Magic Legends, Action-MMO From Neverwinter Devs, Announced At Game Awards
<p>The classic collectible card game Magic: The Gathering is expanding into a new genre, with a MMO action-RPG. A brief cinematic trailer debuted at the award show. The game will let you create your own Planeswalker and adventure in the world. A beta is planned for 2020.</p><p>Magic Legends is coming from Cryptic Studios and Perfect World, the developer and publisher of the Dungeons & Dragons MMO <a href="https://www.gamespot.com/neverwinter/">Neverwinter</a>. The team is being headed up by <a href="https://www.gamespot.com/star-trek-online/">Star Trek Online </a>vet Stephen Ricossa.</p><p dir="ltr">"Cryptic Studios is known for making games based on franchises we love and this is no exception," said Ricossa in the announcement. "We've assembled a team of talented developers who are incredibly passionate about Magic: The Gathering and share a collective deep knowledge of the franchise.
