News - Madden NFL Video Game Documentary Announced By Prime Video
<p dir="ltr">Prime Video has revealed it's working on a documentary series about one of the biggest sports video game franchises ever: Madden NFL. The untitled show on Amazon's streaming service will consist of four parts, covering the beginnings of John Madden Football in the late 1980s and going up to presumably this year's upcoming Madden NFL release (which hasn't been unveiled yet).</p><p dir="ltr">This Madden NFL documentary will feature "rare and never-been-seen before footage," according to Prime Video. The four-part series will detail how the football franchise "almost never happened" at EA Sports. It's also promising to show how the developer "finishes the next generation of the game."</p><p dir="ltr">The Madden franchise started in 1988 with John Madden Football, with the latest release coming out last year as Madden NFL 24. The namesake for the series is John Madden, a legendary coach and broadcaster for the NFL.
