In closing out today’s Nintendo Direct, the company announced Animal Crossing would be coming to the Switch.

This marks the first time in over 10 years that a mainline Animal Crossing game has appeared on a Nintendo home console. The team here at Nintendo Life is, to put it mildly, excited about the release. All we know for now is the yet-untitled Animal Crossing title will come to the Switch in 2019.
