News - Assassin's Creed Infinity Gets A New Name
<p><a href="https://www.gamespot.com/articles/assassins-creed-infinity-everything-we-know-about-ubisoft-game-hub/1100-6503702/">Assassin's Creed Infinity</a>, the working title for the hub that will host new Assassin's Creed games, now has a new name. It's called the Animus hub, and Ubisoft's Marc-Alexis Cote told <a href="https://www.gamefile.news/p/assassins-creed-shadows-interview">Game File</a> that 2024's <a href="https://www.gamespot.com/articles/assassins-creed-shadows-release-date-gameplay-and-everything-we-know/1100-6523576/">Assassin's Creed Shadows</a> will be the first entry in the series to launch from within it. More details are coming later on, but Cote said the Animus hub will be the place <a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/assassinscreed/comments/1df91s0/assassins_creed_infinity_has_been_renamed_into/">"from which you can launch different experiences."</a></p><p>In 2021, Bloomberg reported that Ubisoft was developing a <a href="https://www.gamespot.com/articles/assassins-creed-infinity-confirmed-rumored-to-launch-2024-at-the-soonest-with-multiple-settings/1100-6493645/">"massive online platform that evolves over time"</a> for the Assassin's Creed universe. Ubisoft subsequently confirmed that Assassin's Creed Infinity was the codename for the upcoming project, the structure of which is led by Cote.
