News - Switch 2's Price Could Affect "Early Adoption," Nintendo Says
If you think Switch 2's price of $450 seems a tad steep, then you are not alone. In fact, Nintendo has admitted the entry cost--especially considering the original Switch debuted at $300--could affect early hardware sales for the upcoming hybrid system.
"Nintendo Switch 2 is priced relatively high compared to Nintendo Switch, so we recognize that there are corresponding challenges to early adoption," said Furukawa. "That being said, Nintendo Switch 2 can play compatible Nintendo Switch software, so there is continuity between the platforms. We are taking steps like bundling software with the hardware to accelerate adoption in the first fiscal year, aiming to get off to the same start we did with Nintendo Switch."

News - Fallout TV Show Star Reveals How Long The Show Could Run For
How many seasons of Amazon's Fallout TV show will there be? The network hasn't said yet, but one of the show's actors, Aaron Moten (Maximus), has said he's been told it could be potentially six seasons.
Speaking at Comic Con Liverpool, Moten said when he signed on to star on the show, he was told what "the end point" would be, and that hasn't changed. This would be a "Season 5, Season 6 type of end point," Moten said. "We've always known that we're going to take our time with the development of the characters," he explained (via TheGamer).
It's not immediately clear if Moten is talking about the endpoint of Fallout in general or potentially for his character. In any event, it sounds like there could be a lot more Fallout coming. Nothing is ever guaranteed in Hollywood, though, so we'll have to wait and see how it all plays out.
News - Fortnite's Item Shop Looks Very Different Right Now; It's Empty [Update]
Update: As of 11:15 AM PT / 2:15 PM ET, this issue appears to be resolved--and just in time for Mace Windu to hit the shop tonight.
Original story: The Fortnite item shop has ballooned in recent years. In 2018 or so, you might find a new character skin, or "outfit," in there a few times per week. These days, it's a megastore full of licensed music, muscle cars, virtual Lego playsets, Marvel heroes, and even the protagonist of a 1970s Mexican superhero sitcom, for reasons that still elude me to this day. But today the shop looks very different: It's almost entirely empty.
As you might expect, this isn't intentional, and Epic has said it's working on a fix, but it's rather jarring to see the shop so devoid of in-game purchases, given how many tabs of colorful digital toys it's usually lined with these days.

DARK SOULS Franchise Sale (NCSA ONLY), all titles 50% OFF
The item shop in Deadlock will look significantly different the next time you log in to Valve's third-person MOBA. The developer has overhauled the shop, adding new items, icons, costs, and more. Despite the patch notes saying that the major update is "coming soon," it's already live in-game.
Item slots were previously tied to specific tree types, but they will now be universal. Item-specific slots being replaced with universal slots removes the problem of some heroes feeling weaker due to needing up to six items of a particular kind to efficiently launch a counterattack after falling behind. Formerly, you had the ability to unlock four flex slots which served the same purpose. With the total slot count being reduced from 16 to 12, we can assume these flex slots are no longer available for unlock.
The new item shop interface
There are "many" new items being added to the store according to the patch notes, and all item icons have got new artwork which makes the items and their purpose more easily identifiable.
News - Fallout Season 2 Has Officially Wrapped Production
Fallout fans have some good news and bad news today. The good news is that Fallout actress Ella Purnell, who plays Lucy MacLean, announced on Instagram that Season 2 of Prime Video's Fallout has wrapped filming. Not to be outdone by his co-star, Walter Goggins, who plays the mysterious Ghoul on the show, de-Ghoul'd himself over at the show's official Twitter page, also sharing the news.
The bad news? Well, there's still no official release date, but it's safe to assume with a similar post-production schedule of Season 1, Lucy, the Ghoul, and Maximus could be back on our screens in a bit over a year. Possibly premiering within the spring or summer of 2026.

News - Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Somehow Sold Another 6 Million Copies This Past Year
It might be 8 years old*, but Mario Kart 8 Deluxe continues to sell like it's a brand-new game for Switch. Case in point: The racing game sold 6.23 million copies for Nintendo's last fiscal year (April 1, 2024-March 31, 2025). That brings lifetime sales of the title to 68.20 million units.
For comparison's sake, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe sold more than two newer Switch releases combined for Nintendo's last fiscal year--The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. The former saw the Hylian princess as the protagonist and sold 4.09 million copies since launching in September. Meanwhile, the Mario RPG remake has sold 2.10 million units after arriving almost a year ago on May 23, 2024.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is Nintendo's best-selling game of all time, if Wii Sports isn't treated as a standalone game. That minigame collection that focused on motion controls, though, was packed in with Wii hardware in all major markets outside of Japan. The next-closest Switch games in sales rankings are Animal Crossing: New Horizons at 47.82 million copies and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate at 36.24 million units.
Two of these subclasses are brand-new to D&D in general, while the other six are updated versions of subclasses that previously existed in D&D 5e. Game designer Mackenzie de Armas, along with D&D influencer and content creator Todd Kenreck, go into depth about what each class can do in the video below. It should be noted that, like all UA releases, these are also all in the early stages of development, and players can leave feedback by May 13.
Okay, so before we get into the six updated classes--all of which were first added to 5e in expansion books Xanathar's Guide to Everything, Tasha's Cauldron of Everything, and Van Richten's Guide to Ravenloft--let's take a look at the two new subclasses: Reanimator (Artificer) and Hollow Warden (Ranger).
