The highly anticipated Silent Hill 2 remake finally has a release date, and it won't be long until fans of the classic survival horror game can revisit the unsettling town in Maine. Silent Hill 2 releases on October 8 for PlayStation 5 and PC. PlayStation announced the release date alongside a new trailer during its May State of Play livestream. Preorders are available now, and ordering early will net you a couple of neat bonuses on launch day.
Silent Hill 2 preorder bonuses
All Silent Hill 2 preorders for PS5 come with two wearable masks for James, the game's lead protagonist. You'll get Mira the Dog mask and Robbie the Rabbit mask. The latter is exclusive to PS5, but PC players will still get the dog mask. with their preorder.
You can preorder a physical copy of the Silent Hill 2 remake for PS5 for $70 at all major video game retailers, including Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, GameStop, and Target. Digital PS5 and PC preorders are available on the PlayStation Store and Steam. Based on the wording, it appears the preorder bonus are exclusive to the digital version.
A digital deluxe edition is available to preorder for $80 for PS5 and PC. This edition comes with 48-hour early access starting October 6, a digital art book and soundtrack, a pizza box mask, and the other two bonus masks for PS5 (one for PC).
The original Silent Hill 2 is one of the best survival horror games and is often cited as the high point of the Silent Hill series, so expectations are high for the new remake. The remake features updated graphics and sound. Environments from the town of Silent Hill have been expanded in the remake to give players more room to explore. Another notable change is the new over-the-shoulder camera, which replaces the fixed-view from the original. Though not a surprising update, it should bring Silent Hill 2 up to modern expectations in terms of player movement.

News - Love Nikki Heads To Consoles With Open-World Adventure Game, Infinity Nikki
Nikki, the stylish heroine behind the Love Nikki: Dress-Up Queen mobile game, is making her console debut in a new, open-world adventure game: Nikki Infinity. Announced during May's PlayStation State of Play, Nikki Infinity transports Nikki and her adorable furry companion Momo to a fantasy world filled with ruins, waterfalls, and plenty of opportunities to dress-up.
Whereas the traditional Love Nikki games are linear experiences in which players select a level and strive to achieve a high-score by dressing Nikki and friends in stylish-yet-situationally-appropriate clothing, Nikki Infinity features a vast open world and boss battles. Throughout her adventure, Nikki will be able to put on various outfits that grant her corresponding abilities, such as fishing, as well as conduct photoshoots while wearing them. Not much has been revealed about Nikki Infinity's story, but it appears Nikki will be traveling once more to Miraland, where she will focus on restoring certain thorn-covered areas to their former glory.
Released internationally in 2017, Love Nikki: Dress-Up Queen is a massively popular Chinese mobile game developed by Paper Studio. But while Western audiences might know Nikki from Dress-Up Queen, it is actually the third entry in the Nikki Up2U series. Infinity Nikki does not yet have a release date or full list of consoles, though its trailers state it will be "cross-platform" and available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

With Update 0.9 we truly make a huge leap forward. I'm not exaggerating in saying that we have rewritten or heavily refactored 95% of the code base in the last three months. We are now truly satisfied from a performance point of view, as well as satisfied with the stability and extensibility of all the software modules . We are preparing for this early access adventure (which will start next July) with great confidence. Sure of being able to release frequent, substantial and stable updates.
We have a lot prepared for you. From improved inventory and crafting, to larger map, to a more immersive narrative experience, without handholding, to new player and weapon models, new AI enemies, plenty of optimizations and improvements.
News - New Trailer Announces Where Winds Meet Coming To PS5, Includes This Fight Wit
If its newest trailer is anything to go by, Where Winds Meet looks like it'll scratch your Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice itch with a ton of fast-paced duels against a variety of powerful bosses. The trailer also announces the game is coming to PlayStation 5 in addition to PC.
Developer Everstone Studio dropped a new trailer for the upcoming open-world action-RPG during Sony's latest State of Play presentation, where it put the focus squarely on duels with characters who look like they're going to wallop you at least a few times. One summoned a huge carp into battle while another rained arrows on the protagonist mid-fight, and in all cases, the gameplay was all about fast, furious dueling.
