TERA Available Now on Xbox One
En Masse is very proud to bring TERA’s vast MMORPG game world and true action combat gameplay to the Xbox One starting today. TERA’s emphasis on action within the MMO genre has always made it a good candidate for play on an Xbox One controller. In fact, TERA’s signature combat, with its emphasis on combo-building and active dodging, originally drew inspiration from console action games.
How It Began
During early development, a few folks at En Masse rigged up gamepad support on an Xbox 360 controller by manually assigning inputs. Even with this rudimentary setup, TERA still played quite well, and as a result Bluehole added official controller support to the PC version. As gamers ourselves, we, at En Masse, recognized it would be a popular game on Xbox One and urged the developer to make it happen.
Challenge Accepted
TERA is developed in South Korea, and when the project was greenlit and development began, there were not many developers there with experience developing for Xbox One. Eager to add new skills and experiences to their arsenal, Bluehole wasn’t going to back down from the challenge of bringing TERA to the platform. At the time, Bluehole had never developed a console game before, so getting set up to develop an Xbox One game represented a challenge. Finding the right people to develop a massive game with complex systems and network support was another challenge and made progress slow at the start of development.

Totally Worth It
Just before PAX West in 2017, we had the game up and running at a good framerate with control assignments and behaviors developed specifically for Xbox One. Picking up the gamepad and controlling one of TERA’s 10 character classes immediately felt visceral and satisfying. Excitement about the build was so high internally that the team at En Masse immediately put together a sneak peek play session with members of the TERA community. The positive response of these players made it quickly apparent that all the time and effort poured into the project by the development team was well worth it.
Looking Forward
We’re excited for all Xbox One players out there to finally play and discover everything TERA has to offer! The development team took great care to fully adopt the complete MMORPG package of TERA for Xbox One. They even packed in some new features, including a lock-on system to help keep track of all the onscreen action, a fully re-designed and streamlined user interface, social features like integrated party voice chat and streaming support, and more! Everything from TERA’s vast game world, dozens of dungeons, hundreds of creatures, and unique combat encounters are reborn in a new and different way on Xbox One!
TERA is free to play on Xbox One right now.

Action RPG Die for Valhalla! Will Raid The Switch eShop Next Month
Indie developer Monster Couch has confirmed that Die for Valhalla! will hit the Switch eShop on May 29th. Pre-loading is already live in Australia and should (fingers crossed) be hitting other regions shortly. We assume the release date will be the same in North America and Europe, too.
Described as an action RPG with arcade beat ’em up trimmings, Die for Valhalla! places you in the role of a mythical Valkyrie, blessed with the power to bring fallen viking warriors back to life. Solo and 4-player options are available, and the game will feature over 80 different skills to select when levelling-up your character.
Here’s some PR:
Die for Valhalla! is an action RPG where you hack, slash and crush your enemies! Possess and take full control of heroes, monsters and other things to help Vikings save their realm!
You are a Valkyrie, a supernatural maiden bestowed with the ability to possess fallen warriors. You embark on a quest that will lead you through strange lands where Norse Mythology collides with Lovecraftian mythos. Sounds Weird? Well, because it is!
You can play solo or locally with friends (up to 4 players).
Key features
– An action-packed hybrid of Roguelike and arcade Beat ‘Em Up. – Unique Possession mechanic. – More than 10 Viking Clans to discover and unlock – Each of the 7 Viking Classes comes with unique playstyles and combos. – Over 80 skills to choose from when leveling up your Valkyrie. – Cute but bloodthirsty creatures will become your companions. – Play against your friends in Deathmatch and Survival modes. – And more!

Video: Rabbid Peach Takes On Beyoncé’s Naughty Girl In Just Dance 2018
“Have fun, dance along, and maybe take a few selfies!!”
Rabbid Peach’s selfie-snapping antics arguably stole the show in Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, and now she’s back to strut her stuff in Just Dance 2018.
Peach provides some “alternative moves” for the Beyoncé track Naughty Girl, complete with a selection of Rabbids backing dancers. It’s so bad, it’s good.
Here’s some PR:
Beyoncé’s ‘Naughty Girl’ has been a fan favourite from Just Dance 2018 and we felt it would make a great song to give an alternate version to. But, the new choreography needed something new… something special.
Not just any coach could take us through these new moves and it’s incomparable sensual nature. We needed the best. We thought hard on who would be the ideal fit. Then it finally hit us! We all know that ever since her sassiness has hit the scene, dancing has never been the same. Her iconic presence and angelic voice parallel no other, and she would be perfect. Of course, we are talking about Rabbid Peach!
Join Rabbid Peach as she breaks down the new alternate choreography in the only way she could, fiercely. Of course, she couldn’t do it all alone. Her Rabbid back up dancers are up to their usual antics as they dance along and enjoy the map backdrop right from the Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle game. Have fun, dance along, and maybe take a few selfies!! BWAHHHH!

Destiny 2 Development Roadmap – 04/11/2018
Since the beginning of this year, we’ve been setting more specific expectations for the work we’re doing to support Destiny 2. With some Season 2 updates in our rear view mirror, it’s time to look further into the future. Before we take a look at our development priorities, Game Director Christopher Barrett has some commentary on our goals for this summer, and beyond.
Barrett: The team is very excited to extend the roadmap and share with you some of the big stakes we’re putting in the ground. Recent updates have focused on immediate issues to the live game, but in the coming months our vision for the future is converging with critical player feedback to deliver transformative changes to Destiny 2.
We’ll be diving deeper into each one of the listed items soon, and there’s even more we can’t quite talk about yet, but for now it’s all hands on deck to make sure we deliver on our promise to restore Destiny 2 to the hobby we all love.
Here’s the new roadmap, spanning the entire summer:
The community has been talking a lot about some of the things we’re developing for Season Four. Our goals for these features are to give you more control over how you configure your loadouts in Destiny 2 and give you more reasons to play the game over time. We also want to bring back those exciting moments when you acquire the perfect weapon. To make this happen, updates like Weapon Randomization, Weapon Slot Changes, Gear Collections, and Records will be delivered to all players.
We now have a plan for Raid Prestige changes (including Raid Lairs) and will update where it will land in the next Development Roadmap. Mod Changes are being incorporated into our new plan for Weapon Randomization.
On May 8, with the beginning of Season Three, we’re also launching the second expansion to Destiny 2. It’s called Warmind, and it will send you to new places to meet new heroes and battle new enemies. You’ll earn new loot and master new activities. Today, we’re naming it and dating it. You’ll learn more in a reveal stream on April 24. Mark your calendars and follow us on Twitch.

Season Three marks the beginning of a new plan for how we deliver Crucible content. For every player of Destiny 2, we’ll be releasing all of the new Crucible Maps being developed for Warmind into matchmaking. The same goes for the maps we released with Curse of Osiris. To keep the community in the Crucible unified, everyone will see new arenas in matchmade playlists like Quickplay, Competitive, Trials of the Nine, Iron Banner, as well as the new weekly rotators that include Rumble and Mayhem. That means more opponents for everyone. With the arrival of Private Matches, players will need to purchase each Expansion to have exclusive access to play those Crucible maps with other players in a private match. This plan goes into effect on May 8 with the beginning of Season Three.

The usual conversation about our creative process will continue. Expect to learn more about the new features on the roadmap as we delve deeper into developer commentary. If these plans change – and plans have a way of doing that – we’ll keep refreshing this roadmap on a monthly basis.
Thanks for coming along with us on this journey, thanks for your feedback, and thanks for playing.
