Eclipse is a full-featured free and open source IDE developed by the Eclipse Foundation. It has been around since 2001. You can write anything from C/C++ and Java to PHP, Python, HTML, JavaScript, Kotlin, and more in this IDE.
Installation
The software is available from Fedora’s official repository. To install it, invoke:
sudo dnf install eclipse
This will install the base IDE and Eclipse platform, which enables you to develop Java applications. In order to add PHP development support to the IDE, run this command:
sudo dnf install eclipse-pdt
This will install PHP development tools like PHP project wizard, PHP server configurations, composer support, etc.
Features
This IDE has many features that make PHP development easier. For example, it has a comprehensive project wizard (where you can configure many options for your new projects). It also has built-in features like composer support, debugging support, a browser,a terminal, and more.
Sample project
Now that the IDE is installed, let’s create a simple PHP project. Go to File →New → Project. From the resulting dialog, select PHP project. Enter a name for your project. There are some other options you might want to change, like changing the project’s default location, enabling JavaScript, and changing PHP version. See the following screenshot.
Create A New PHP Project in Eclipse
You can click the Finish button to create the project or press Next to configure other options like adding include and build paths. You don’t need to change those in most cases.
Once the project is created, right click on the project folder and select New → PHP File to add a new PHP file to the project. For this tutorial I named it index.php, the conventionally-recognized default file in every PHP project.
Then add the your code to the new file.
Demo PHP code
In the example above, I used CSS, JavaScript, and PHP tags on the same page mainly to show that the IDE is capable of supporting all of them together.
Once your page is ready, you can see the result output by moving the file to your web server document root or by creating a development PHP server in the project directory.
Thanks to the built-in terminal in Eclipse, we can launch a PHP development server right from within the IDE. Simply click the terminal icon on the toolbar () and click OK. In the new terminal, change to the project directory and run the following command:
php -S localhost:8080 -t . index.php
Terminal output
Now, open a browser and head over to http://localhost:8080. If everything has been done correctly per instructions and your code is error-free, you will see the output of your PHP script in the browser.
Nintendo Shares A Single New Animal Crossing: New Horizons Screenshot
Tom Nook’s face says what we’re all thinking…
The lack of an Animal Crossing: New Horizons-specific Direct presentation, or even any new info on the game at all, is slowly becoming a painful daily issue for the series’ most dedicated fans. We don’t go a day without seeing a decent number of Animal Crossing players pleading with Nintendo for something… Anything.
Well, it certainly has given us something today. A single screenshot. The image below comes from the game’s North American Nintendo eShop page (with thanks to @SuperDarkMimeIV for spotting it):
The image shows the player chatting to Cranston the lazy ostrich, a character who was first introduced in Animal Crossing: New Leaf on 3DS.
We already knew Cranston was in New Horizons, but we’ll happily take another screenshot of him anyway. We actually took a look at every character confirmed so far if you’re interested in seeing more:
We’re going to get more info on this game before it releases, right? 35 days to go.
In a bloody tribute to love, Mortal Kombat 11 will host a new Valentine's Day event. Titled the Be Mine Tower Event, the free update will run from February 13 to 14 and will take place within the Towers of Time game mode. According to the press release, love-themed modifiers will be available, including things like Cupid's Arrows, Kandy Hearts, Mileena's Teddy Bear, Falling Hearts, and Roses. If you play as Kano, Jax, or Kitana, you can unlock character skins, see new brutalities and receive player module pieces for the fighters.
Be mine… FOREVER! The Valentine’s Day Tower is now live, featuring NEW Brutalities for Kano, Jax and Kitana! #MK11pic.twitter.com/00z4w2mL9w
In other Mortal Kombat 11 updates, starting next week on February 18, the eighth season of Kombat League, the seasonal ranked mode, will begin. A new free content update titled Season of Naknadan Greed will also occur on March 17. And if you follow competitive Mortal Kombat ongoings, then be sure to catch the Mortal Kombat 11 Pro Kompetition's finale, Final Kombat 2020. The event will take place on March 8 in Chicago at the Park West theater. General Admission tickets are sold out, so the only tickets available are the LCQ Kombatant + Final Kombat GA ones. Including service fees, these run at about $40. If you can't make it in-person, have no fear, because the event will be live streamed at twitch.tv/netherrealm.
If you're really excited about the new character Spawn, then it may be worth it to catch the final competition. Todd McFarlane, who created the character Spawn, and Keith David who voices him, will be at the event, as well as a few other Mortal Kombat creative team members. Fans will also get to see Spawn's gameplay for the first time too.
Following a community suggestion, today's hints are (pretty much) the actual answer options (some were shortened). Your job now is working them out: what do they have in common or what not, might be the relevant part of the question. Good luck.

Last month, we found out the CG-animated movie Dragon Quest: Your Story would be coming to the popular streaming service Netflix.
If you’ve been looking forward to this one or need something to watch this Valentine’s Day that isn’t Sonic the Hedgehog, this might be of interest. Below is the synopsis and official announcement:
Luca follows in his father’s footsteps to rescue his mother from evil Ladja. Finding the heavenly hero who wields the Zenithian sword is his only hope.
if it sounds familiar, it’s because the film is based on Dragon Quest V, which first released on the Super Famicom and was eventually remastered for the Nintendo DS.
Will you be booting up Netflix to watch this movie? Leave a comment down below.
CoroCoro Reveals The Silhouette Of The Brand New Mythical Pokémon
Promotional artwork for Pokémon the Movie: Coco
In January, The Pokémon Company announced it would be revealing a brand new mythical pocket monster on 27th February to celebrate this year’s Pokémon Day. This special creature will not only be available in the new games Pokémon Sword and Shield but will also feature in the upcoming movie Pokémon The Movie: Coco, which is due out this July.
The silhouette of this new Pokémon was also expected to be teased in this month’s issue of CorcCoro magazine (releasing on 15th July) and Serebii.net has now managed to get an image from the magazine ahead of its release (via stream footage). For a silhouette, it’s pretty exciting:
As previously noted, this new mythical creature will be revealed later this month on 27th February. While no details are known about it, the bands / “wrappings” around its arms appear to be similar to the ones worn by the human character in the Pokémon The Movie: Coco trailer (see the image at the top of the page). It’s even got the same amount of wrappings, according to the website PokéBeach.
What do you think of this silhouette? What type of Pokémon do you think it could be? Share your thoughts below.

Final Fantasy VII Remake's Opening Cinematic Is Gorgeous And Faithful
Not making the delay to April any easier, Square Enix has revealed the opening cinematic for Final Fantasy VII Remake, just shy of two months before the game is set to release.
The opening to Final Fantasy VII is memorable, giving you a glimpse of the Midgar skyline and the oppressiveness of Shinra's establishments over the city. It's also the first time you see protagonist Cloud, as he pulls off some daring maneuvers to board a moving train and kick-off the Avalanche mission at the start of the game. The remake is incredibly faithful to the original, as you can see for yourself below.
Square Enix has been teasing Final Fantasy VII Remake extensively over the past few days. An assortment of screenshots released yesterday gave us new looks at the main cast, some initial shots of series favorites such as the Chocobo, and a glimpse at some side-quests you'll be able to undertake off the beaten path.
