News - Yakuza 0 Director's Cut Is a Punchy (But Pricey) Upgrade For Diehard Fans and

It's more or less agreed that Yakuza 0 is really good--many will even say the best in the whole series. But with the Switch 2's launch lineup being somewhat sparse, Sega (and Nintendo, which has timed exclusivity on this edition) are likely hoping players want to complement their Mario Karting, Cyberpunk 2077ing, and Street Fighting with a hard-hitting open-world adventure. But is it worth it? It really depends.

At $50, Yakuza 0 Director's Cut is cheaper than many of the other Switch 2 launch games, and there's a lot to do here between the lengthy, dual-protagonist narrative and the surprisingly involving minigames. You can easily get hundreds of hours of gameplay out of Yakuza 0: Director's Cut, and that's not even taking into account the new content.

The first major difference is the addition of new voice and subtitle tracks. Your choice of voice actors is down to personal preference, but for me, the Japanese ones are too iconic to switch away from. Chinese and English voice tracks have been recorded for the entire game. If you're a series veteran, you'll also notice that the demo cinematic features the Japanese rock song "Bubble" by Shounan no Kaze--a song featured in the original Yakuza 0's Japanese release but excised overseas. It's back, it's rockin', and it sets the stage for a grand old time in 1988 Bubble Era Japan.

News - Haunted Chocolatier Will Feature A World "Larger Than Stardew Valley"

The next game from Stardew Valley creator Eric "ConcernedApe" Barone will boast a larger world than the one in his farming simulator. But you don't have to take our word for it; Barone himself made this specific comparison for Haunted Chocolatier.

On X, Barone stated that: "The world of Haunted Chocolatier is larger than Stardew Valley." He would know, since in December, Barone noted he was creating Haunted Chocolatier similar to Stardew Valley. "I'm coding it (mostly from scratch) in C#, and I'm working solo in all areas," Barone said after reconfirming he resumed development on Haunted Chocolatier.

It seems like Barone is slowly but surely opening up more about his next game. Last month, the developer discussed how he wanted to focus on mystery and whimsy with Haunted Chocolatier. Barone sounds like he wants players to "let go of your desire to engineer the perfect chocolate" and instead just follow their intuition.

News - SteelSeries Launches A New $110 Universal Wireless Gaming Headset

SteelSeries has just released a new wireless variant of the Arctis Nova 3, aptly named the Arctis Nova 3 Wireless. Not only does this new model add wireless connectivity to the Arctis Nova 3, but it also incorporates features from last year’s Arctis Nova 5, including support for over 200 EQ presets via the Arctis App and the ability to swap between multiple connected devices with a single button press, plus support for multiple platforms including PS5, PS4, Xbox, PC, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices.

The Arctis Nova 3 Wireless is the second headset in the Arctis Nova lineup to support the Arctis mobile app, which offers over 200 preset audio EQ options you can swap to on the fly, including options optimized for specific games like Call of Duty and Fortnite. Until now, only the Arctis Nova 5 Wireless supported this feature, making the Nova 3 Wireless an alternative--and even more affordable--choice compared to the $130 Nova 5 line.

The Arctis Nova 3 Wireless is available in two models: the Nova 3P Wireless and the Nova 3X Wireless. The Nova 3P Wireless supports PlayStation, Switch, PC, and mobile devices, while the 3X is compatible with Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, PC, and mobile devices. The headsets can connect to up to two devices at the same time--one via the included 2.4Ghz wireless dongle and the other via Bluetooth. That said, by connecting to your mobile device via Bluetooth, you can modify the headset's selected EQ preset in the Arctis mobile app, even while listening to your console or PC over 2.4Ghz.

Beyond slightly different platform compatibilities, the Nova 3X Wireless and Nova 3P Wireless are otherwise identical. They both sport the same lightweight design and flexible headbands as other Arctis Nova headsets, and feature detachable microphones, custom-tuned neodymium magnetic drivers, and up to 40 hours of battery life on a single charge. They also support fast-charging, which can recharge up to nine hours of battery after just 15 minutes. Both are available for $110.

We haven't tested the Arctis Nova 3, but several other Arctis models landed on our list of the best gaming headsets, including the premium Arctis Nova Pro and Arctis Nova 7, so we’re optimistic about the Nova 3's performance. There are plenty of other fantastic SteelSeries headsets to check out, including the budget-friendly wired Arctis Nova 1. Its audio quality and wired connection aren’t ideal for all situations, but it’s hard to beat its low price.

Most of these headsets are available in a variety of models, and those with the “X” classification add Xbox support along with support for platforms like PS5, Switch, and PC. News - Ryan Reynolds Shares His Response To Being Replaced In Deadpool VR

Earlier this month, developer Twisted Pixel unveiled Deadpool VR, the first solo Deadpool video game since 2013. However, Ryan Reynolds will not be reprising his title role from the three previous live-action Deadpool movies. Instead, How I Met Your Mother's Neil Patrick Harris is stepping in to voice Marvel's Merc with a Mouth. Now, Reynolds has shared his response to the news. And if Harris can take one of his roles, then Reynolds will just have to steal one of Harris' iconic characters.

Harris' first breakout role came in the 1989 comedy series, Doogie Howser, M.D., which cast him as a 14-year-old medical prodigy. That's the role that Reynolds spoofs in this video, complete with Doogie's lab coat, glasses, and antiquated computer. The video also features a cameo from Doogie Howser, M.D. co-star, Robyn Lively, who portrayed Michele Farber on the show. Lively is Reynolds' sister-in-law, so presumably it wasn't too hard to get her for this.

Twisted Pixel has shared a handful of details about Deadpool VR, which will be an original story that sends Deadpool into the Mojoverse, where he'll go up against Mojo himself and Lady Deathstrike. Players will assume control of Deadpool as he uses his particular skills to shoot, stab, and parkour his way out of trouble. But when all else fails, Deadpool does have a healing factor that rivals Wolverine's ability to regenerate from almost any injury. Even getting beheaded hasn't been enough to kill Deadpool in the comics.
