<p dir="ltr">Hideo Kojima's <a href="https://www.gamespot.com/games/silent-hill-2/">Silent Hill</a> reboot <a href="https://www.gamespot.com/games/silent-hills/">Silent Hills</a> will never see the light of day--at least not in the manner he originally envisioned--but the demo P.T. lives on in the hard drives of horror fans everywhere. Unfortunately, however, that's where it's going to stay. <a href="https://www.gamesradar.com/uk/pt-wont-be-backwards-compatible-with-the-ps5/">As confirmed by GamesRadar</a>, the "playable teaser" will not be backwards compatible on the <a href="https://www.gamespot.com/articles/playstation-5-price-specs-launch-games-release-date-and-everything-else-you-need-to-know/1100-6466357/">PS5</a> in any form.</p><p dir="ltr">In an email to GamesRadar, Konami said that "the content will not be available on the PS Store, so users won’t be able to re-download the content through the backwards compatibility feature to the<a href="https://www.gamesradar.com/uk/sony-ps5-release-date-news-specs-features/"> PS5</a>."</p><p dir="ltr">Generally considered one of the most influential horror games of the 2010's--despite its short length and relative unavailability, due to its removal from the PlayStation Store in 2015--P.T. continues to be the subject of analysis and study. Back in 2019, prolific hacker Lance McDonald discovered that <a href="https://www.gamespot.com/articles/pt-hacker-uncovers-the-character-model-in-silent-h/1100-6472243/">Lisa is behind you</a> through the entirety of the game, and McDonald managed to <a href="https://www.gamespot.com/articles/silent-hills-hacker-finds-their-way-into-the-town-/1100-6472413/">step into the abandoned town</a> itself in a follow-up video. Fans continue to hope for a Silent Hill reboot, though <a href="https://www.gamespot.com/articles/konami-denies-silent-hills-revival-rumors/1100-6475154/">Konami denied the swirling rumors of such a move</a> back in March.</p>
