Nintendo has announced that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will be updated to Version 9.0.0 next week.

The update perhaps unsurprisingly arrives alongside the new Minecraft characters on 14th October (or 13th for those of you in North America). It’ll primarily add support for the new fighters, stage, and Mii Outfits that will become available to download on that day, and will also include fighter adjustments.

This update includes fighter adjustments, meaning replay data from previous versions will be incompatible. Convert your replays by going to Vault -> Replays -> Replay Data -> Convert to Video, before updating. pic.twitter.com/WUgResPeQZ— Nintendo of Europe (@NintendoEurope) October 7, 2020

As always, the fighter adjustments mean that old replay data from the previous version will become incompatible. Make sure to convert any replays you want to save before they’re no longer available.

We’ll make sure to update you with the full patch notes as and when they’re available. Until then, let us know if you’re excited to play as Minecraft’s Steve and Alex next week with a comment below.
