Ready Player Two Audiobook Will Be Narrated By This Star Trek Actor

<p>Ernest Cline's sequel to his best-selling virtual reality adventure Ready Player One <a href="https://www.gamespot.com/articles/ready-player-one-is-getting-a-sequel-novel-ready-p/1100-6479493/">was announced last month</a>, with the not-particularly-surprising title Ready Player Two. The novel will be published in November, and now we know who will narrate the audiobook version.</p><p>According to <a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/ready-player-two-sets-wil-wheaton-to-narrate-audiobook">The Hollywood Reporter</a>, former Star Trek: Next Generation star Wil Wheaton will narrate the Ready Player Two audiobook. The audio version is set to be released on November 24, the same day as the book arrives. Wheaton previously narrated Ready Player One and is best known for playing Wesley Crusher in all seven seasons of Star Trek: Next Generation, as well as appearing as himself in The Big Bang Theory. In addition, the actor narrated the audiobook for Cline's 2015 novel Armada.</p><p>Ready Player One was first published back in 2011, and <a href="https://www.gamespot.com/articles/ready-player-one-review-a-blast-whether-you-liked-/1100-6457449/">Steven Spielberg's movie adaptation</a> was released in 2018. The novel focuses on a boy named Wade Watts who lives in a dystopian future where everyone relies on a massive virtual reality game called The Oasis for the most basic necessities.
