A release date for Minecraft‘s huge and upcoming Nether Update has been revealed. You’ll be able to get stuck in on Nintendo Switch and other platforms starting next week on 23rd June.
The game’s Nether dimension is about to blossom into something much bigger and more exciting than ever before, with new blocks, items, biomes, and threats all headed to its lava-filled world. You’ll be meeting up with the grumpy Piglins, who you’ll be able to trade items with, and the Hoglins – the “snoutiest, tastiest mob in Minecraft”.
The update will also introduce Netherite, a material that, for the first time, will offer players something stronger than diamond, as well as the Target Block which lets you activate Redstone switches with arrows.
