Just last month, it was confirmed that Nexomon: Extinction – a new monster-catching RPG that bears a striking resemblance to Pokémon – would be arriving on Switch this summer. Now, we can take our first look at the game’s starter monsters.

If you’ve played a Pokémon game before, you’ll understand the concept immediately. Your Nexomon journey will begin with a simple but important question, with players having to choose which monster they’d like to become their first companion. Unlike Pokémon’s formula of three starters, however, you’ll be able to choose from a grand total of nine.

So, let’s check them out, shall we?
