Sofia Coppola to adapt novel ‘The Custom of the Country’ for Apple TV+

<p>Screenwriter, director and producer Sofia Coppola is reportedly developing an adaptation of the Edith Wharton novel “The Custom of the Country” for Apple TV+.

<p>According to <em>Variety</em>, Coppola will write and direct the <a href="https://appleinsider.com/inside/apple-tv-plus">Apple TV+</a> limited series, based on the 1913 novel of the same name. It tells the story of a Midwestern girl named Undine Spragg who tries to integrate with New York City society.
