You’ll Need A Bethesda Account To Play DOOM And DOOM II On Switch

<p>To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the <strong><a href="http://www.nintendolife.com/games/nintendo-switch/doom">DOOM</a></strong> series, <strong><a href="http://www.nintendolife.com/games/nintendo-switch/doom">DOOM</a></strong>, <strong><a href="http://www.nintendolife.com/games/switch-eshop/doom_ii_classic">DOOM II</a></strong> and <strong><a href="http://www.nintendolife.com/games/switch-eshop/doom_3">DOOM 3</a></strong> have been released on the Switch eShop.</p>
<p>As you might have already discovered, the first two games require you to login to your Bethesda account or sign up if you want to play them. In fact, you can’t even get past the title screen without a user account. You’ll also need to sign in if you want to play these games in an offline state.</p>
<p>Here’s the fine print at the bottom of both Switch eShop listings:</p>

</blockquote>
<p><a class="external" href="https://youtu.be/Vt9aACdveus">Direct-Feed Games</a> has confirmed DOOM 3 players are not required to login and the warning above is not present on the game’s eShop page.</p>
