Qubic Games and The House of Fables are bringing Mini Trains to Nintendo Switch next week, a port of Trains VR which launched on Steam last summer.
The game features 40 puzzling levels where you must build the perfect track for your model trains; the goal is to collect stars on each stage, but some of them might be a little tricky to get your hands on. You’ll need to keep an eye on each train’s route, avoid collisions, and learn from your mistakes.
Of course, with the Switch only supporting VR when using the Nintendo Labo VR Kit – and therefore not having it as a standard feature – that part of the game has been removed. Instead, the VR experience has been transformed into what Qubic Games describes as a “more accessible way” to play with a new isometric camera which allows players to have a wider view of the stage. You can see how it all looks in the trailer above.

– Unique toy-like graphics, with isometric camera and option to take a closer look at the details from first person view;
– 40 levels, each with multiple solutions so you can find your own way to complete it;
– Many tools to deal with puzzles – switches, turntables, and tunnels. Use them to solve logistical problems;
– Childhood dreams without buying all expensive railway sets, on your console.
As we mentioned above, the game launches next week on 19th July. You can already go ahead and pre-purchase it now on the eShop for $5.99 / £5.39.
