- Minecraft 1.13 snapshots have finally begun this week, “After a very long time in development, we’re ready to start snapshots for Minecraft Java Edition: 1.13”. This first snapshot brings Data Packs and an upgrade to LWJGL 3.
- Dinnerbone shares what we can expect from future 1.13 snapshots, “The command system will be in a later snapshot, as it’s not ready yet. The great big block ID changes will be in an even later snapshot.”.
- In celebration of Stranger Things Season 2, “…Prepare for some spooky retro adventures as you go investigating the shocking arrival of the new Stranger Things skin pack!”. Check out the previews here on Minecraft.net, or watch the trailer below.
- 4J announce changes to Custom Tumble games, including “Splash Potions of Levitation are now a usable weapon in Custom Tumble games“, “Spectators can now join in the fun in Custom Tumble games…” and “How about fireworks instead of snowballs in Custom Tumble games? “.
- 4J have “[…] also added item sets to Custom Battle games such as No Armor & High Power, plus multiple lives per round & multiple rounds per match”.
- An update has been released this week for Minecraft: Edition’s, including PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Xbox 360, Nintendo Switch and Wii U. This update includes a Halloween Tumble arena, a custom game type for the Battle Mini Game and a custom game type for the Tumble Mini Game.
- The release date for Story Mode Season 2 episode 4, “Below the Bedrock”, has been announced, arriving on November 7th.
