OpenWhisk Gets Its Apache Software Diploma

It is designed to provide a scalable and reliable way to build and run applications and services that are based on event-driven architectures.

In 2017, OpenWhisk graduated from the Apache Incubator and became a top-level Apache Software Foundation project. This means that the project has demonstrated a healthy level of community involvement, code maturity, and adherence to Apache's open-source principles, and has been accepted as a fully fledged Apache project.

As an Apache top-level project, OpenWhisk continues to be developed and maintained by a community of volunteers and is governed by the Apache Foundation's meritocratic process. It is released under the Apache License, a permissive open-source license that allows users to use and modify the software freely.

Sounds pretty nice really. I've been using docker pretty regularly lately. So nice and easy to implement. Pretty universal in the open source world also.
