News - Randomizer Mod For Elden Ring Nightreign Now Available On PC
Although Elden Ring Nightreign has elements of randomization, a new PC mod will let players randomize their runs in even more ways.
Created by thefifthmatt, the Nightregin Randomizer and Derandomizer can be downloaded from Nexus Mods. As the mod's name states, this also includes a derandomizer that allows for "more deterministic runs".
Given that Elden Ring Nightreign already has a procedurally generated system, the modder notes that players may only notice the difference of the randomizer with variations of Night Bosses. "Under the hood, it's creating map patterns nearly from scratch and has a tremendous amount of freedom in its placements," they write. "In the future this can be extended to randomizing enemies and bosses within maps and in-depth placement customization."
Terraria might start with a pointy stick and a dream, but it doesn’t stay that way for long. Whether you’re chipping away at slimes in a copper helmet or laying waste to intergalactic horrors with a rainbow laser cannon, weapons are the beating heart of your Terraria adventure.
But with hundreds of options on offer, from melee blades to magic bolts, ranged boomsticks, summoned minions, and whatever the heck the Zenith is, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. So let’s break it down. This guide covers every weapon type in Terraria, from the basics to the bizarre, with class-specific insights, examples, and the kind of hard-won wisdom that comes from dying repeatedly to King Slime.

Melee Weapons
Melee weapons are your bread and butter, especially early game. They’re typically the simplest to use. Just walk up and whack something. But don't let that fool you into thinking they're dull. Terraria's melee arsenal ranges from humble short swords to screen-filling yoyos and whirling projectiles of doom.

News - Final Fantasy Producer Not Sure When Or If Mainline Series Will Return To Tur
The debate over the future of Final Fantasy, namely its approach to combat, continues, and this time the question has been put to Final Fantasy XVI producer Naoki 'Yoshi P' Yoshida, who admitted there is no "clear-cut" answer.
Final Fantasy XVI was a radical departure from previous installments by being a completely real-time action game, even eschewing command menus present in the action-oriented Final Fantasy XV. During an interview at Anime Expo, Yoshida was asked whether the series would return to a turn-based system, given the recent success of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, which was in turn inspired by earlier Final Fantasy games and Persona.
"With this question of turn-based versus action, it tends to isolate the gameplay to just the battle system," Yoshida told Anime News Network. "That doesn't take into account what kind of game the creators want to deliver to players. For example, based on a certain graphical quality we want to present to our players, or the narrative we want to deliver to our players, it relates to how we set up the game's systems around it. This includes the battle system, game design, and gameplay feel. It's not a clear-cut answer, whether it will become all turn-based, or if it's going to become more action-based."
The dream-stalking killer demon Freddy Krueger is one of horror's most iconic villains, and for fans who want to snag the full seven-film series in 4K Steelbook format, the upcoming A Nightmare on Elm Street 4K Blu-ray collection is now available to preorder for $175 exclusively through Amazon. A release date and cover art haven't been revealed yet, but we're expecting the box to be a gruesome delight for fans of the horror film series.
While the first Nightmare on Elm Street was remastered in 4K not too long ago, this is the first time that the rest of the film series has been upgraded to ultra-high definition. Inside the box, you'll find steelbook editions of all seven films featuring unique art, a numbered certificate of authenticity, and 3D glasses (likely for the final film in the series, Freddy's Dead, which was filmed in 3D). Bonus features haven't been confirmed, but we expect this collection to include much of the extra content from previous Nightmare on Elm Street Blu-rays.
A Nightmare on Elm Street earned its spot on the Mount Rushmore of slasher movies when it first debuted in the '80s. The antagonist of the movies, Freddy Krueger, was almost unstoppable as he claimed victims from inside their dreams, effectively scaring them to death. A serial killer who struck from beyond the grave, Krueger--as played by actor Robert Englund--cemented his status as one of the greatest horror movie characters of all time alongside icons like Friday the 13th's Jason Voorhees and Halloween's Michael Myers.
If you don't want to wait for the new 4K Steelbook collection and are fine with the films in 1080p, you can also grab the previously released A Nightmare on Elm Street Blu-ray collection. The set includes all seven movies on Blu-ray disc along with a ton of extra content like retrospectives, documentaries, and two episodes of the Freddy's Nightmares anthology horror series hosted by Krueger himself. A 4K version of the original A Nightmare on Elm Street is also available.
