News - John Wick Spin-Off Ballerina Starring Ana De Armas Delayed To Add More Action

Ballerina, the John Wick spin-off starring Ana de Armas, has been delayed by a year. Lionsgate has announced that the film is shifting from June 7, 2024 to June 6, 2025.

Deadline reported this news and also noted how the delay came as part of a wider John Wick announcement of series architect Chad Stahelski getting a new deal to oversee the series. According to the report, Stahelski is now working with Ballerina director Len Wiseman to create "additional actions sequences" to help "amp it up even more."

Taking Ballerina's original date is Lionsgate's The Crow remake starring Bill Skarsgard in what's described as a "modern reimagining" of the franchise.

News - America Is Torn Apart In New Trailer For Alex Garland's Civil War

The newest trailer for Alex Garland's Civil War has landed, showcasing a fresh look at a film that shows a near-future America on the brink of civil war. In the trailer, the US President--played by Nick Offerman--delivers a message to the Florida Alliance and the Western Forces of Texas and California, which have seceded and are now taking hostile action.

Offerman's president says they will be "welcomed back to these United States as soon as their illegal secessionist government is deposed." It doesn't look like this will happen peacefully or potentially at all, as the trailer teases major battles in environments that look like they could be from HBO's The Last of Us. According to a new report, Apex Legends and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor studio Respawn is making a first-person Star Wars game featuring a Mandalorian bounty hunter.

Insider-Gaming's report said this game is set during the height of the Galactic Empire. Players will reportedly go on missions to hunt people down to collect bounties.

We have known for years that Respawn was making a first-person Star Wars game, but this is the first time we're hearing what it could be. According to a previous report from VentureBeat, the game was being led by former Call of Duty veteran Mohammad Alavi before he left the studio.
