Best Version of Xtaf USB Explorer / Party Buffalo Downloads - Xbox 360 USB Storage Managment Tools
Description
If your wanting to browse content on an Xbox 360 formatted usb hard drive you might be wondering what the best tool to use is. You have a few free options thankfully, usually people recommend two different tools.
Xtaf Xbox 360 USB Storage Explorer (Xplorer) was the first and best tool for a good number of years, however that has since been surpassed by Party Buffalo Drive Explorer which has a much more user friendly interface, allowing the easy identification of content on the Xbox 360 hard drive or USB drive.
Usbxtaf - Xbox 360 USB Storage Explorer (Xplorer) - as you can see this is a basic tool that gets the job done, however it's extremely reliable and was the best tool for Xbox 360 USB content management on a PC for many years.
Party Buffalo Drive Explorer - The interface is a lot more modern as you can see, giving you the same icons the content has on the Xbox 360 on your PC, making it much more user friendly to manage content.
Today in 2017 either tool will get the job done, however the most user friendly is Party Buffalo Drive explorer in my opinion.

Description
UsbXtaf is an Xbox 360 usb drive explorer that works with USB flash drives and Xbox 360 hard drives. Usbxtaf Xbox 360 USB Storage Explorer can read and write to the FATX file system storage devices formatted by the Xbox 360 use.
This allows an Xbox 360 hard drive or usb memory stick to be connected to a computer, data on the Xbox 360's hard drive can be extracted and copied back to the Xbox 360 usb storage device with UsbXtaf Xbox 360 USB storage explorer.
This means Xbox 360 save games can be injected in to the memory stick, along with demo's and other Xbox 360 downloadable content.
By default windows pc's are not able to read storage devices formatted by the Xbox 360 console, however UsbXtaf will allow Xbox 360 storage devices to be accessed on Windows when connected by USB.
USB Xtaf Storage explorer was the first tool to be released back in 2010 capable of extracting data from usb drives which had been configured for storage on an Xbox 360. For the first time this allowed easier access to Xbox 360 content, without having to use often expensive adapters which enabled internal Xbox 360 hard drives to be connected to a computer.

Version 41: I dont know, im not sure if it existed, if it did, it was a roll back of v39
Version 42: Fixed the bug of all bugs(math error with large offsets). Should fix hdds, large files/partitions/ etc. Compat partition for linux and images will be back later. Linux cannot run release version due to obfuscation, i will try to fix that.

Xbox 360 NXE Dashboard Update 2.0.9199.0 With Avatars Download
Information:
This dashboard update mainly serves users who dont have Xbox Live and would still like to keep there console's somewhat up-to-date.
- Support for using USB storage (up to 16gb) to save Xbox 360 content on such as profiles, savegames, DLC, demos and arcade games.
- Allows banned consoles to do hard drive installs again (the console is still banned and anything modified on that console will be corrupt when used on another console)
How to install:
1.) Extract the contents of $SystemUpdate_9199.zip, then rename the $SystemUpdate_9199 folder to $SystemUpdate
2.) Put the $SystemUpdate folder in the root of a CD or USB Stick (Must be FAT or Fat32 formatted)
3.) Insert the CD or USB Stick into your Xbox 360 console.
4.) You will be automatically prompted to update with a USB stick, with a CD / DVD it should say Mixed Media Disc, power down the 360 and power it on again. You should be ask to update before the 360 boots to the dashboard.
5.) Once the update is complete your Xbox 360 will restart then boot up to the new dashboard. Enjoy!

Description
The following hacks were done to the emulator:
* Xbe signature checks removed (lets you run unsigned code)
* Xbe section hash checks removed (lets you run hacked xbes)
* Game region checks removed (region free baby!)
* Game media checks removed (play games from your hard drive)
* Debug/Devkit xbes supported (run your own xbox1 code)
* Attempt to play unsupported games (doesn't mean it will work hehe)
To install this, copy the Compatibilty folder to your devkits Y drive.
If you have a Jtag hacked console you want to copy this to Partition 2, it might be advisable to backup the original files first.
The author of this (I presume Xorloser?) states he left in game ratings checks in case you dont want your little ones to play violent games, however this can be toggled in the dashboard anyway.
Quite a few games that are not on the official backwards compatibility list appear to be working fine, such as:
Castlevania: Curse of Darkness
Crazy Taxi 3
Metal Gear Solid 2
Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones
Note: it will boot (some) Xbox 1 homebrew as well, however don't expect everything to work perfectly.
