Kirby can transform into knitted wonders like tanks and flying saucers. Plus, his new ravel abilities mimic his classic copy abilities, adding something new to every stage of this action-adventure game. Ravel abilities allow Kirby to drop buttons like bombs or wield a wire like a sword. And that?s just the beginning of all the makeshift magic. Dead end? Unzip a secret passage. Too dark? Unbutton the night to shed some light. Boss blocking your way? Unravel its face! As you play, you?ll collect decorative treasures for Kirby?s Pad. Show yours off with the StreetPassTM feature. If story mode isn?t tough enough, see if you can earn more collectibles in Devilish Mode. In this harder mode, you must survive without invincibility as devils obstruct your path through each stage. There are also all-new minigames starring Meta Knight and King Dedede.
Kill la Kill: IF Will “Be The Same Across All Regions”
Video game censorship is arguably more of a thing nowadays than ever before. Even PlayStation’s creator Sony has come under fire in recent times for censoring certain titles to varying degrees.
Common targets of censorship appear to be Japanese-made games featuring mature content and over-sexualised themes. It’s even got to the point where some games are now completely skipping a western release. Naturally, this has fans of certain types of video game experiences on edge, about what games will and won’t be localised, or if they’ll be censored upon localisation.
In the case of Arc System Work’s upcoming fighting game Kill la Kill: IF, based on the popular anime starring a school girl named Ryuko Matoi, there’s no need to worry. In a reply to a fan on Twitter, the game’s western publisher PQube confirmed the game would “be the same across all regions” and platforms. It also said how if anything changed, fans would be notified:
The publisher confirmed this release would include dual audio as well, so you can listen to it in Japanese or English. Kill la Kill: IF arrives in both physical and digital form on the Switch later this year.

Activision Warns Investors That Layoffs May "Negatively Impact Business"
In the wake of a recent layoffs, Activision Blizzard is warning investors of a potential adverse impact on the company's performance. The SEC Filing features a new header under its "Risk Factors" section that plainly states, "We may not realize the expected financial and operational benefits of our recently announced restructuring plan, and its implementation may negatively impact our business."
During its most recent earnings call, the company announced it would be laying off roughly 8% of its staff, which amounted to hundreds of employees. This restructuring was meant to trim its sails for the months ahead, but it concedes in this filing that the move may not work as intended. After citing factors that are still shifting, like labor regulations and third-party negotiations, it also acknowledges more general uncertainty.
"Further, there can be no assurance that our business will be more efficient or effective than prior to implementation of the plan, or that additional restructuring plans will not be required or implemented in the future," the statement reads. "The implementation of this restructuring plan may also be costly and disruptive to our business or have other negative consequences, such as attrition beyond our planned reduction in workforce or negative impacts on employee morale and productivity, or on our ability to attract and retain highly skilled employees. Any of these consequences could negatively impact our business."
The note regarding its ability to attract employees or an impact on employee morale seem especially pertinent, given that the company has been sharply criticized for its layoffs--especially as they came alongside the announcement of record profits. The labor organization AFL-CIO wrote an open letter to game developers encouraging them to unionize. That letter posed Activision CEO Bobby Kotick (alongside EA's Andrew Wilson) as getting rich off the hard work of developers. Similarly, both executives appeared on a watchdog's list of most overpaid CEOs, both coming in at more than 300 times the median wage of their employees.

Hellboy Reboot’s Red Band Trailer Delivers Gory Apocalyptic Mayhem
The second trailer for Hellboy is here. The movie is a reboot of Guillermo Del Toro's action fantasy series, based on Mike Mignola's comic books. Stranger Things star David Harbour plays the titular demonic hero, and the movie hits theaters in April.
December's first trailer suggested that the film would be more comedic than many fans were expecting, but this new Red Band promo delivers the dark, violent goods. It's packed with gore, bad language, and apocalyptic action, and also reveals Milla Jovovich's evil Blood Queen for the first time. Which isn't to say it's not funny too--this Hellboy is still a wise-cracking badass. Check it out above.
Hellboy releases on April 12, 2019. It also stars Ian McShane as Professor Broom, Sasha Lane as Alice Monaghan, and Daniel Dae Kim as Ben Daimo. Marshall is best known for his work on Game of Thrones and the recent Netflix show Lost in Space, plus movies like Doomsday and The Descent.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Harbour explained that the movie isn't an origin story--as when the film starts, Hellboy is already working for the Bureau of Paranormal Research and Development. "It's not an origin story, but it's his coming to terms with where he came from," he said. "He's been Hellboy for a long time, but there's a new turn of events at the start of the film, where people start to bring up the fact that he might bring about the end of the world, and it's really the first time he's heard anything like that. The question that comes up in the movie is where does he really belong?"
