Note* This is in Linux folder because I've only tested extensively all these on linux debian system, but should work fine on any linux system the same. windows ehhh good luck. Luckily all these containers have backends you can connect to from windows system through the browser. Which is lovely. i manage everything from windows system, but I host my backend linux.

I'm using DokuWiki to serve my text files mostly right now. Possibly some pdf files if I can find some relevant reasoning for it.

Below is an example of the accumulation of my backup text file folder. I've spent 5-10 years developing documentation on every program, OS, and hardware I've tested with. It's good to have notes to remind yourself how you did something exactly, and methods to reproduce it. Especially when you can go from python, to javascript, to html/php, to sql, to bash, okay, you should get the point. Working with so many languages, it's good to take notes, write down your objective, and follow through with written/typed examples. Any time I open a new application, I start a new text document. Got to keep track of locations, commands, plugins, and so on. I believe it's a good practice. Definitely pays off when errors in my setup arise. Hoping this site will help me be able to search my documentation better also. Since I go from 1 thing to the next so much. I'll have similar topics across multiple text files. Maybe even the same content if it relates.

Ways to link the dokuwiki pages directory to your local PC:

*So I have my local text file directory synced with another server/computer in home.
*You could use sync thing, or something similar. Forget what they are called, or personally,
*I host my "Documents" folder on the server and use samba to mount on my windows 10.

* From there you can symlink or just work out of those directories.
- I did find a way to symlink in windows that was very useful. Somewhere in this dokuwiki...

* Another good program for mounting remote folders to windows 10 SSHFS-win-manager. Works similar to samba.
* Aeome backupper can be used to backup that remote drive to your local computer in case you ever have a network outtage or something similar. Good to prepare for situations like that. Theres another backup program I like I may eventually come back and update here.

For Linux just sshfs mount the directory. Also have documentation about this in my wiki lol. I'll try to get around to updating this.

How to download to the server: A16 Valmod plugin has a Github download link.
So we will use Git to extract the link to Ubuntu/Debian systems.

How to Install Server Side:
Find 7 Days to Die Local Files (Ubuntu system first)

FILEZILLA Method:
Open the Ravenhearst zip. Open the first folder inside. Inside is a Data and Mods folder. Drag and drop these folders into the main game's directory.

From Terminal:
Valmod is a github link so we will use wget

Navigate to your 7daystodie folder. Usually inside /home/user/steamcmd/7daystodie.
Command:
Code:

With these mods you have to disable EAC though. Just FYI


How to Install Client Side:
Right Click 7 Days To Die and select properties
Click the Local Files Tab
Click the Browse local files button.

Open the Ravenhearst zip. Open the first folder inside. Inside is a Data and Mods folder. Drag and drop these folders into the main game's directory.

How to fix:

You must update your server to version 3.3.1 to get it running again.

* Copy the entire content of the folder you downloaded in the already existing folder of your TS3 Server installation (just to be safe I also made a backup of the existing folder, and made sure the server was stopped and closed while moving files).

It should ask you to replace the files, just replace them all.

After the upgrade my server took a bit longer than normal to startup, but now it's working as it was before it went down.
It doesn't overwrite you current server by doing this upgrade!

BUT take a backup incase!



Why has this happened?


Teamspeak wants to make sure servers stay updated with their stuff by issuing a 1 year license on all their products that you have to renew or "upgrade" to stay using their software I believe. or pay to make sure it always stays up!

This guide will get you running with a TeamSpeak server running under Ubuntu 14.04 LTS.

Getting Started

Confirm that you have the following before you follow this guide:
• 1 Node (Cloud Server or Dedicated Server) running Ubuntu 14.
• Root access to the node or one sudo non-root user
• A TeamSpeak client on your platform of choice in order to test things out.


How To: (Tutorial)

Start by running these commands on your Ubuntu 14.04 server. These commands will automatically get the latest update for your server.

I've been having such a good time with this i think I will just document it out for you guys. Kodi is amazing as a video player. It will auto search the movie title from databases and add all information about them for you.

I just sort all my movie files in folders like so

Kodi scans the folder and does the rest. I do have to make sure there are no extra files besides subtitle files and video files. otherwise it will show doubles in Kodi.

I have 200+ Movies
50+ Tv Series some with 19+ seasons! (South park...) lol

Gives you genre, director, writer, first aired, description about the movie/tv show and lots more! how long it is, visual quality, sound quality.. Just so much more information on screen compared to all other media players. Kodi exceeds them by far!

HOW TO:

1. First things first, you need a server/computer to use as the host for the files.


2. Install Samba onto Ubuntu. this will make it able to connect to all other devices. Windows, kodi, other linux systems, etc.

3. Make a mount point for your media server. I chose /srv/media
a lot of people just recommended using srv as it works with a lot of other things on ubuntu's side. sooo. just follow. My other folder is business name.

4. Open Kodi, click "Movies" >> "Add Videos..."

5. From here you will just direct kodi to find the videos on your server. From windows I had to map the network drive out or it wouldn't work. On my android box, i did have to manually type //SERVER/SRV/MEDIA

6. Now I would go into the settings and change it so it updates on startup ever time. I add movies constantly, so it's nice when i load up, it loads all new content i've added.

7. If you change the labels on anything and some things just aren't in your library anymore, go into settings and find "Clean up library" it will delete old links.

8. You have a movie / tv show in the folder but kodi isn't finding it. Okay, so basically the movie isn't labeled right, or kodi isn't understanding the label on it or imdb or tvdb doesn't have that movie / tv show on their database. try renaming the movie file first so kodi can see it and understand it better. I've run into that problem quite a few times.
