This is the evolution of Foongus.</p> <p>You can see it around the 2:53 mark in a brief shot featuring the expansion logos:</p> <figure class="picture strip"><figcaption class="caption">See the smaller image at the top left side of the screen?</figcaption></figure> <figure class="picture strip"><figcaption class="caption">Here’s a close-up…</figcaption></figure> <figure class="picture strip"><figcaption class="caption">And this is the Pokémon</figcaption></figure> <p>As this particular clip appears on the <em>Isle of Armor</em> side of the screen, there’s a <a class="external" href="https://nintendosoup.com/random-fans-spot-amoonguss-in-pokemon-sword-shield-dlc-trailer-suggesting-its-return/">theory</a> this Pokémon will show up in part one of the Expansion Pass later this month.</p> <p>The possible return of this ‘mon is considered to be a big deal by the competitive scene, as it’s become a staple of the <a class="external" href="https://www.pokemon.com/us/pokemon-news/2020-pokemon-video-game-championships-vgc-format-rules/">Pokémon Video Game Championships</a> over the years.
