<p>The decision comes days <a href="https://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/360017/Sony_will_manage_PSN_download_speeds_in_Europe_to_preserve_internet_access.php">after it did the same in Europe</a>, with <a href="https://blog.us.playstation.com/2020/03/24/preserving-internet-access-for-the-entire-community/">the company explaining</a> it must “take appropriate action” to ensure internet stability during the COVID-19 pandemic.</p>
<p>Although the decision may result in some PSN users experiencing slower or delayed game loads, the company reiterated that gameplay will remain unaffected.</p>
