Free Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition Beta - xSicKx - 08-16-2015 Free Windows 10 version available to existing PC/Mac Java owners! Log in to Mojang.com for more information. Link: Some reviews: Quote:Its still in beta and it runs INCREDIBLY well! C++ is a really good for making anything! Sure its hard to work with but at the same time its easy for the player. I hope to see this game become even bigger than the Java version of the game. Thanks for this amazing port, Microsoft! Quote:This edition of Minecraft is great! A few things though: - Sensitivity: The sensitivity is quite high at default. You should lower this in the next update. - A less touch-oriented UI: Even though this is a port of Pocket Edition, it's options and creative menus are more meant for touch. I'd like if you change this to be more fit for PCs. Besides these, it's awesome! - The Minester Quote:Before you go downloading this you have to understand that this is a beta. I have found many bugs just barely entering the game. There is one HUGE advantage to getting WinX edition and that is fps. The fps has increased dramatically from the PC version. I even ran this on a bad computer to try it out, and I was floating around 60-80 fps. Some bugs I have noticed however is that you have to click a block/animal once before you can actually interact with it. This makes it virtually impossible to kill animals. But, as I said, it's a Beta. Also, I can't speak for everyone but I personally am used to a small GUI, and in the PC version you are able to change the size of the GUI, but unfortunately that is yet to be a feature in the WinX edition. I love the fact that you can change skins and characters. Some of the content of the game is outdated compared to the PC edition, but many people are enjoying it because it reminds them of Minecraft classic. Overall, I think this has great potential. |
