News - The Legend Of Zelda Live-Action Movie May Have Found Its Ganondorf
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The live-action The Legend of Zelda movie from Sony Pictures and Nintendo has already cast its Zelda and Link, but what about all the other roles? A new report claims that Australian actor Uli Latukefu, best known for the TV series Young Rock, will play the villain, Ganondorf. </p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This is according to <a href="https://x.com/kylebuchanan/status/2085391932738707714" data-type="link" data-id="https://x.com/kylebuchanan/status/2085391932738707714">veteran Hollywood reporter Kyle Buchanan</a> of The New York Times. He said he's "been hearing" that Latukefu got the role, but it's not yet officially confirmed by the studio. <a href="https://deadline.com/2026/08/legend-of-zelda-uli-latukefu-ganondorf-1237027872/" data-type="link" data-id="https://deadline.com/2026/08/legend-of-zelda-uli-latukefu-ganondorf-1237027872/">Deadline</a> also reported on his casting, going on to say he made a multi-movie deal.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The live-action The Legend of Zelda movie <a href="https://www.gamespot.com/articles/zelda-movie-gets-a-new-release-date-again/1100-6539951/" data-type="link" data-id="https://www.gamespot.com/articles/zelda-movie-gets-a-new-release-date-again/1100-6539951/">releases in theaters on April 30, 2027</a> from director Wes Ball (The Maze Runner). “The team is working hard to deliver the film to everyone as soon as possible. There’s less than a year to go until release, so thank you for waiting," producer Shigeru Miyamoto said. Marvel veteran Avi Arad is another producer on the movie.</p>
