You would probably want to replace it, right? Well, now you can.<\/p>\n<p>Provided you\u2019re located in North America and bought an original system any time after 17th July this year, Nintendo will allow you to trade-in your old model Switch for a new one with better battery life.<\/p>\n<p>This special offer was discovered by a user over the <a class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/NintendoSwitch\/comments\/cquuyl\/psa_nintendo_told_me_if_you_bought_your_switch\/\">Switch Reddit<\/a>, who further explained how Nintendo will swap an old system for a new one \u2013 for free \u2013 as long as the console was purchased after the above-mentioned date and the customer pays to ship the older unit.<\/p>\n<p>Digital Trends even reached out to Nintendo and confirmed this offer does in fact exist.<\/p>\n<p>If you are hoping to get your hands a new Switch, and aren&#8217;t able to take advantage of this unofficial promo, the best way to find one is by looking for the red packaging in-store. Revised Switch serial numbers also supposedly start with XKW.
