{"id":98438,"date":"2019-08-14T13:43:00","date_gmt":"2019-08-14T13:43:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gamasutra.com\/view\/news\/348713"},"modified":"2019-08-14T13:43:00","modified_gmt":"2019-08-14T13:43:00","slug":"thq-nordic-acquires-darksiders-dev-gunfire-and-racing-studio-milestone","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sickgaming.net\/blog\/2019\/08\/14\/thq-nordic-acquires-darksiders-dev-gunfire-and-racing-studio-milestone\/","title":{"rendered":"THQ Nordic acquires Darksiders dev Gunfire and racing studio Milestone"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>THQ Nordic has closed out the first quarter of the fiscal year by announcing a flurry of acquisitions.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Swedish publisher has agreed to purchase racing game maker Milestone, <em>Darksiders <\/em>developer Gunfire Games, and investment company Goodbye Kansas Game Invest.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Milestone deal will see THQ <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thqnordic-investors.com\/en\/regulatory-press-releases\/?releaseId=3384178\">fully acquire the Italian studio for around $50.2 million in cash<\/a>, but that price could rise based on certain performance targets.
