The value of those items naturally hinges on their rarity and the chance that they\u2019ll drop when opening one of the game\u2019s loot box-like Mann Co. Supply Crate.<\/p>\n<p>But, as a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/tf2\/comments\/chzmap\/pds_warningpsa_dont_trade_for_any_tf2_items_at\/\">post on the game&#8217;s subreddit<\/a> points out, the crate&nbsp;drop rates for \u201cUnusual\u201d items&nbsp;seem to have increased to&nbsp;100 percent with this latest update, causing the marketplace value of those Unusual-class items to tank as once rare gear became easily obtainable.<\/p>\n<p>For example, an Unusual item that <a href=\"https:\/\/steamcommunity.com\/market\/listings\/440\/Unusual%20Outdoorsman\">sold for between $35 and $17<\/a> over the last month currently runs around $5 on the <em>Team Fortress 2<\/em> marketplace. For some items, the drop has been even more significant.<\/p>\n<p>As mentioned before, PCGamesN reports that Valve has disabled access to inventories outside of regular gameplay&nbsp;to halt buying and selling, on top of pausing the ability to open new crates.
