When you spin the disc on one of these altered Pok\u00e9Stops, a Team Rocket Grunt appears to take you on in a battle; win this fight, and you can catch a Shadow Pok\u00e9mon.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"object object-tweet\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\"><p><span lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">It looks like sightings of discolored Pok\u00e9Stops have increased, as more Trainers have started to submit reports. Hmm&#8230; This is very troubling.<\/span>\u2014 Pok\u00e9mon GO (@PokemonGoApp) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PokemonGoApp\/status\/1153455829737070592?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 23, 2019<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/aside>\n<p>Shadow Pok\u00e9mon are a little different to your usual &#8216;mon; you&#8217;ll notice that they have a shadow aura surrounding them and red eyes, and that they have lower-than-usual CP. You can choose to purify the Pok\u00e9mon if you wish, with Candy and Stardust being used to boost its stats and return the Pok\u00e9mon to normal.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><\/figure>\n<p>Pok\u00e9mon in the Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Rattata, Zubat, Snorlax, Dratini, and Mudkip evolution chains have already been spotted in Shadow form, although we expect more will appear over time.<\/p>\n<p><em>Have you encountered many of these mysterious Pok\u00e9Stops?
