This classic puzzle game is priced at 999 yen and is &#8220;coming soon&#8221; to the Japanese Switch eShop.<\/p>\n<p>The game features an arcade mode, featuring two game types: Flash Columns and VS Columns. The first one requires you to match jewels and the second one is all about creating chains to reduce the size of your opponent&#8217;s field. Here are some additional features (thanks, <a class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/gematsu.com\/2019\/07\/sega-ages-columns-ii-the-voyage-through-time-full-details-screenshots\">Gematsu<\/a>):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A stage select feature has been added to Flash Columns, allowing you start from any of the 70 stages.<\/li>\n<li>A \u201cSkull Cut\u201d option has been added, which stops the appearance of skulls.<\/li>\n<li>The second player\u2019s field can be flipped 180 degrees to play VS Mode face-to-face when the Switch is placed on the floor \/ table.<\/li>\n<li>A \u201cStage Design\u201d option has been added, which allows you to set the design of the field and jewels to your liking\u2014either \u201cRandom\u201d or \u201cColumns I.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Columns II\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/383d9319b4bba\/columns-ii.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/383d9319b4bba\/columns-ii.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Columns II\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>Infinite Columns is a new mode being added to the Switch version of Columns II. Its rules are the same as the Arcade Mode&#8217;s Flash Columns, except it&#8217;s an endless-style game. The floor will gradually rise after a certain amount of time, and by eliminating flashing jewels, all of the same-coloured jewels will be eliminated.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Columns\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/69d8f2d5a984e\/columns.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/69d8f2d5a984e\/columns.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Columns\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>There&#8217;ll also be an option to play the Genesis\/Sega Mega Drive version of the original Columns. Each time you boot the game up, you can select from one of three background songs.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>*This is the same Columns included with the paid \u201cGame Pack\u201d add-on for the Yakuza 0 Companion App for PS Vita.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<figure class=\"picture strip\"><a title=\"Network Play\" href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/c923efe1d02fc\/network-play.original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/static.nintendolife.com\/blank.gif\" data-original=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/c923efe1d02fc\/network-play.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Network Play\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>Lastly is the Network VS feature &#8211; allowing you to compete against players online in Arcade Mode VS Columns. There&#8217;s also a bonus feature titled Jewel Box.
