Gain visibility into those apps and services, including which users are accessing them, transactions, IP addresses, and how much traffic is being transmitted. These policies help you maintain control over your Office 365 environment and how your company resources are accessed. This is particularly helpful for organizations that need to adhere to ethical wall requirements and other related industry standards and regulations, such as preventing the sales department from talking with research teams. Check out the documentation on <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.microsoft.com\/en-us\/office365\/securitycompliance\/information-barriers-policies\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">how to define policies for information barriers<\/a> to get started today.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Meet data residency requirements with Yammer<\/strong>\u2014Yammer now offers <a href=\"https:\/\/techcommunity.microsoft.com\/t5\/Yammer-Blog\/New-Yammer-investments-announced-at-SharePoint-Conference-add\/ba-p\/621940\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">local data residency<\/a> to help organizations in the EU meet data residency requirements. This feature is available to all new Office 365 customers associated with a tenant in the EU. In the coming months, Yammer content will also show up in eDiscovery searches, bringing advanced security and compliance capabilities to Yammer groups connected to Office 365 Groups.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Address data residency needs with Office 365 Multi-Geo Capabilities<\/strong>\u2014Starting this month, the <a href=\"https:\/\/techcommunity.microsoft.com\/t5\/Security-Privacy-and-Compliance\/Multi-Geo-in-Exchange-Online-and-OneDrive\/ba-p\/182710\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">minimum seat requirement<\/a> for <a href=\"https:\/\/products.office.com\/en-us\/business\/multi-geo-capabilities\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Multi-Geo Capabilities<\/a> in Office 365 will be reduced from 2,500 seats to 500 seats. This licensing update brings Multi-Geo Capabilities to a wider range of organizations looking to address their regional, industry-specific, or organizational data residency requirements.<\/p>\n<h3>Improve your workflow<\/h3>\n<p>New features across Microsoft 365 help you streamline collaboration and document creation so you can save time.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Create professional presentations using your company\u2019s branded templates with Designer in PowerPoint<\/strong>\u2014Earlier this month, we <a href=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/microsoft-365\/blog\/2019\/06\/18\/powerpoint-ai-upgrade-designer-major-milestone-1-billion-slides\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">announced several new updates to PowerPoint<\/a>. Designer now works with company-branded templates, helping people create on-brand presentations with ease. Additionally, just by adding text on a slide, Designer now recommends high-quality photo backgrounds that are fully licensed for commercial use, along with theme styles and complementary colors for your presentation. Support for branded templates is available to Office 365 Insiders on Windows 10 and Mac, and the theme updates are rolling out to all Office 365 subscribers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Quickly find documents and view previous versions seamlessly across your devices<\/strong>\u2014This month, we announced that our Microsoft Office desktop apps now support <a href=\"https:\/\/techcommunity.microsoft.com\/t5\/Office-365-Blog\/Recommended-Documents-in-Office-apps-and-Version-History-in\/ba-p\/722356\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Recommended Documents<\/a>, which provides you with a curated set of documents to help you find files and get back to work quickly. Recommended Documents is available now on iOS and Mac with Win32 rolling out now. We also announced that we\u2019re bringing <a href=\"https:\/\/techcommunity.microsoft.com\/t5\/Office-365-Blog\/Recommended-Documents-in-Office-apps-and-Version-History-in\/ba-p\/722356\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Version History<\/a> to Office for the web, enabling you to see what changes have occurred and revert to an earlier version if necessary. Version History is rolling out now, starting with PowerPoint on the web.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Stay in the creative flow with inking in Outlook<\/strong>\u2014We are bringing the <a href=\"https:\/\/support.office.com\/en-us\/article\/draw-and-write-with-ink-in-office-6d76c674-7f4b-414d-b67f-b3ffef6ccf53\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">inking capability<\/a> from Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote to Outlook for Windows. Inking in Outlook enables you to use your digital pen or finger to annotate and make notes. You can also easily mark up photos and images directly in your emails. To get started, select the Draw tab on the ribbon to see all your new pens and start inking.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sickgaming.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/new-to-microsoft-365-in-june-updates-to-microsoft-cloud-app-security-powerpoint-outlook.gif\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-233168 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sickgaming.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/new-to-microsoft-365-in-june-updates-to-microsoft-cloud-app-security-powerpoint-outlook.gif\" alt=\"Animated screenshot of inking in Outlook.\" width=\"900\" height=\"622\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Share your most recently used files in Outlook for iOS<\/strong>\u2014You can now share your most recently used files in Outlook for iOS, creating a coherent experience with files in your Office 365 apps and services, your most recently used files from SharePoint and iCloud, and local files on your iOS device. You can continue to share files through email from OneDrive for Business, OneDrive, Google Drive, Box, and Dropbox cloud storage. Additionally, if you choose to add a link in your email rather than attach a file, the permissions to access it will align automatically with those set by your company. This feature is rolling out to iOS users now.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sickgaming.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/new-to-microsoft-365-in-june-updates-to-microsoft-cloud-app-security-powerpoint-outlook-3.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-233171\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sickgaming.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/new-to-microsoft-365-in-june-updates-to-microsoft-cloud-app-security-powerpoint-outlook-3.png\" alt=\"Screenshot of files being attached in Outlook for iOS.\" width=\"400\" height=\"793\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Other updates<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/techcommunity.microsoft.com\/t5\/Microsoft-To-Do-Blog\/Microsoft-To-Do-for-Mac-is-here\/ba-p\/696250\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Microsoft To-Do app<\/a> is now available in the Mac app store\u2014<a href=\"https:\/\/apps.apple.com\/app\/apple-store\/id1274495053\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">download<\/a> to get started.<\/li>\n<li>Now you can give collaborators a \u201cthumbs up\u201d in Microsoft Whiteboard to show you like others\u2019 content.
